Bills Trade for Veteran WR with #10?
apuszczalowski replied to WickedGame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he is refusing to sign his tender, why would you offer the #10 pick? KC is the desperate team in this situation, either risk him sitting out, or get something for someone. I'd offer the 3rd, but may be willing to make it a 2nd if it would seal the deal -
Nope, sorry Even repainting might not be enough, those colors are still under there. 2 choices are strip the paint off the wall and repaint, or burn it down and start over, lol Then I would question why you would be with a woman who is obviously color blind or just has horrible taste

Casserly: Buffalo picks Tannehill
apuszczalowski replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe that its possible they like him and if he is available, they might take him at #10, but Nix has said many times that he doesn't like to move around in the draft. He doesn't want to lose picks to move up, and he doesn't like the idea of trading down and risking losing a guy they do want, believing he will be there if they move down. They would rather stay put and take the player they like at their spot. No one knows (except the Bills) who they will take if available at 10, but Buddy has also come out and said that he expects to get an impact player in the first, so taking a QB at 10 and letting him sit and develop doesn't quite fit that mould. It seems like every year there are rumors of the Bills being in love with a certain QB that the report says they will take and yet they pass (Remember the Tebow rumors?). It easy for "journalists" to just come out and say the Bills are in love with a certain QB and will take that player cause many don't think that Fitz is good enough so they think the team feels the same way. -
He was moved to the o-line later last season. Funny how some continue to want to see Troupe cast off cause he was a second round pick, but drool over Jasper because he is a huge guy with less talent/experience (at this time) and was drafted in the 7th

PFT: Fred Jackson says 'contract not a concern'

But the fans say that it is a concern and priortity, therefore one of them doesn't know what they are talking about, I would assume it Fred -

I never mentioned financial reasons in what you quoted. All I said was that the Bills are still the home team and are still the closest team to where the game is being played. They could be playing one game a year in Vegas, or Salt lake City, or Oklahoma, or Montreal, or Vancouver or anywhere in Europe. The game is less then an hour and a half away. If the fanbases biggest complaint or worry is that the game isn't a "home game", theres a very simple slution to that, Attend the game and bring the Ralph atmosphere there. If you instead decide that your gonna continue to throw a tantrum about it and sit at home in buffalo watching the game, your part of the problem with it not being a home game. As for my point about the "Home field advantage" I ask, when was the last time that a home game was really an advantage for the Bills and the reason why they won? This team has been all over the place with wins and losses the last 5-10 years that they win games they shouldn't have on the road while they lose to teams they should beat at home To respond to your comment about the money, if you were the owner of a business, would you not be looking to try and maximise your profits?

12 buried, pickled WWII fighter planes found
apuszczalowski replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Most of the stories or Ads you see for these jeeps were never found buried in the US, they were from overseas, sometimes in places like Japan. You don't hear as many about them being found buried, mostly warehouses with crates. Its similar to the urban legend "Barn Finds" you hear about where someone finds a mint condition original mustang, or corvette just sitting in a barn covered by some tarps, driven only a few times and stored away....... -
1st Round Pick comes down to BPA
apuszczalowski replied to BuffFromBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don't always use those picks to take players, they seem to acquire them and use them as chips to move around. But aside from the 2 TE's they drafted recently, and amybe a couple of other pciks over the last few years, there drafting hasn't been viewed as being very good -

1st Round Pick comes down to BPA
apuszczalowski replied to BuffFromBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not everyone builds the same, but besides a few recent picks, the pats drafting wasn't really viewed as being all the great over the last 3-5 years. Also too, when you already have a well built team, its easier to be flexible and give up a better pick to move back. As I said, BPA doesn't necessarily mean its one player, there could be 5 guys that could be seen as the BPA. The Pats are still taking the BPA even though they move around. -
can it be gilmore AND jenkins?
apuszczalowski replied to playman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Listening yesterday (or maybe it was the day before) I heard someone talking about CBs and the bills and they were saying that the Bills don't view Rogers as a Starter type, more as a 5th CB who was picked more for his return abilities then to play CB. McKelvin would still be in the starter spot (top 4) -
And how much has Home field been an advantage for them? The location they are playing in for this one game is only 1 1/2 hours away. The Bills aren't preventing their fans from keeping this a "home game". The Fans are doing it all on their own by whinning and complaining about it and refusing to go because its not at RWS so tehy won't support it. Fans in Green Bay didn't seem to whine as much when the Packers played games in Milwaukee to try and regionalize. And now the NFL is having teams give up atleast one home game over a certain time frame to travel to Europe and play a game

What if the Vikings select Claiborne?
apuszczalowski replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I believe the way it works is that if the select Claiborne with their pick he may be able to go up on stage for a photo op with the commish and the teams front office with a jersey and hat. Then the Vikings will own his NFL rights and will be able to negotiate his NFL contract for him to come play for them. As far as what it means for the rest of the draft, it means some of the "draft Gurus" were wrong in their mock drafts, and someone else is still on the board for other teams to pick. It also means that no one knows what exactly will happen on draft day, and theres a reason why they go through the draft process and teams have time between picks to make their own -
I think the thing with Warner was that he was a very good QB, but he also was living off of the back story.Every liked him cause hewent from bagging groceries to winning a SB. He would be one of those guys that might get in because he has a SB win in a weak draft year, but many will question if he was truly deserving of it

1st Round Pick comes down to BPA
apuszczalowski replied to BuffFromBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I do agree with your poin that no matter what happens, whiners will be on here crashing the boards saying how they could have and should have traded down to collect a boatload of picks and the guy THEY wanted would have still been there instead of the obvious reach they took. The point some of the people are trying to argue and make is that just because players 6-whatever may be graded the same, it still doesn't mean no one wants to move around and trade. If your in one of those spots, you might want to trade because you really want the WR that you feel the next team on the board is going to take, and no other WR is graded similar, or you feel that that one fits your team the best. Teams have wants and needs too, and some may want or need a certain player or position that they can't just sit back and wait for. Personally I feel that BPA is the only way to go when drafting. Teams should always be looking to improve anywhere on the team, especially teams that are picking early in the draft. You never want to be in a position where your picks have to be based on needs, like saying that the Bills have to use their #1 pick on a LT because they have no one that can fill the spot. All teams have atleast a couple of needs and positions that can use upgrading. And unless your in the top couple of picks in the draft, BPA doesn't necessarily mean that its only 1 player, there could be a couple of players that are the BPA at your pick, and you need to take which ever fits your teams needs the best. You get in trouble when you draft solely for needs because you end up giving up the chance to get a better player for your team, to get the best available guy at his position passing up better players -
can it be gilmore AND jenkins?
apuszczalowski replied to playman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And then in a few seasons after he is suspended once or twice by the league for incidents involving this, we can run him out of town for a 4th like we did with Lynch.......... -
No its not, Home field hasn't been an "Advantage" to the Bills in years. If Kraft and Jerry were located in smaller markets that need to find new revenue streams to try and attract more ticket and luxury box sales, they would do it, in fact, they would have probably been the first to do it. Do you seriously think that Jerry Jones would pass up the oportunity to make a few extra bucks playing one game in another location close by? They don't have to do it because they have the corporate backing buying luxury boxes and the ability to sell premium tickets. Just because the games are packed with Bills fans, it doesn't mean it wasn't a good financial decision by Ralph and the Bills, cause it was a great deal for them. They got paid no matter how many fans filled the stadium, its Rogers in Canada that ticket sales hurt, yet they are onboard with negotiating to keep it going so I don't think its all that bad. Is there any guarantee that if the games weren't being played in Toronto that late November/December games were going to sell out at RWS? They have been struggling to sell them out in the past..........

I think i would put Bledsoe in before I put McNabb in. I think McNabb is one of those guys who was one of the better QB's in the league, but not the best and not someone who stood out as being the reason why his team did what they did.
