Adored Browns mascot Swagger passes away at 6
apuszczalowski replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know if I would say he had a great life, he was forced to work for the Browns. How can you wish that on anyone? -
If WNY can't afford it, then they can't afford an NFL franchise and the league will force them into an area that can. The league and other owners aren't charities who will continue to help the Bills stat afloat without contributing themselves. It doesn't matter if they have die hard fans, if they can't afford to pay market prices, they can't afford the NFL.

I have watched both seasons of Vice Principles, its not bad, kind of strange but can be funny. Typical McBride show -
Sometimes you need differing opinions though. With WGR having deals to cover or broadcast for those teams, many times they on air people have to have certain views of the team or they lose their deal. Having another station that isn't being paid by the franchise helps give other opinions outside of 'everything is great!'

Started it last night, just finished episode 2. Wasn't expecting it to start how it did, I figured it would be the usual, family falls on hard times, resort to crime to save things..... -
So what your saying is that you share something with Tom Brady? As long as your not making out, or it gets you aroused, I'm thinking what ever you feel comfortable with is cool.....

I thought the same thing too, am I missing something or does he mean the trade deadline? Seeing as Hutton is in his 30s and played a bunch of years in the NHL, I wouldn't call him playing in a game "throwing him to the wolves", unless he was mistaken and refering to the backup goalie who's been called up.

I think the first time though there was more hype for the league, doesn't seem the same this time around, doesn't have the same TV coverage, it will be interesting to see if fans get behind it. I think having Vince's ego behind it again that it will last the full season cause he won't let it fail -

Is that the one where he is arrested for allegedly killing a kid? I see commercials for that one all the time. -

Wasn't that the old one about Billy Joel? -
Yeah, I didn't realize there was an age issue there. The CHL has their age restrictions to play in, and have the agreement that if one of their players is drafted but not going to be on the NHL club, they are only eligible to play for their CHL club. Maybe that's what they meant? He would still be in the CHL if not part of the NHL club? For me personally, I liked the old Red Wings approach with all sports teams of leaving players in the minors until they force their way into the lineup. I don't know of any player that has ever been ruined because they played too long in the minors, but there have been many that were affected by playing way too early in the pros. Rushing players up almost never works. Let them develop until they can't prove anything anymore in the minors.

I used to always wonder driving by farms why I never saw the small wind turbines in the fields spinning in them, even when it was windy. Then just recently I found out they aren't wind turbines but fans that are used to circulate and move warm air around and prevent frost from damaging the crops....... -
You know that might work. Last week I had a fever Monday night, on Tuesday I was still sick and my mother in-law was over. She likes to wash things with bleach and decided to try to clean the inside of my Yeti mug by letting bleach soak in it. I didn't realise this and assumed it was just soap so I dumped it out and rinsed it. Made some tea and thought it taste a little funny. She saw my drinking from it a little while later and asked if I washed it out cause she was using bleach to try and get some stains out of it. I had this flu/virus for the least amount of anyone in my house who had it, lol

That's one of the things they said against wearing masks and why they don't really work, adjusting the mask or taking it on and off puts your hands near your face and spreads germs. In some cases yup. I know a few not too far from you where they could build pretty close to an active rail line, they needed a huge berm in the backyard, min 10" thick foundation walls, and mandatory Central A/C units so the owners won't have to open their windows to keep cool and complain about the noise....

Lol, it's incredible how within the last maybe 20 years how things have changed when it comes to development. I remember growing up and seeing large pieces of land that you could never build on because they were swampy, or close to hydro lines or railway tracks. Now, everything is fair game if the developer puts in some provisions.....
