Yeah, they just need to get rid of what was holding the offence back...... -
Arizona released Sam Bradford
apuszczalowski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not necessarily, he would still be paid from the Cards for the rest of the season IIRC -
I forgot about the Renegades..... Adding that space immediately makes it no longer offensive, because now they are just a colored bird instead of a native American term! The Redskins should think about that too, then they are just a team named after people who stayed out in the sun too long.

I think its after an older defunct franchise. Also believe it's an homage to the old lumberjacks who would wear red & black plaid jackets. Speaking of CFL, Hamilton will have a celebrity fan come out during their home playoff game. Apparently 'The Nature Boy' Rick Flair is a fan and posted a video online saying he will be there on the field for the game.

Marc Trestman fired by Argonauts

It might help if the QB they would want him to work with and develop was healthy enough to practice and work with on the field. -

That's a national holiday here in Canada, but we call it "Start of NHL Free Agency Day" -
How many coaches/GMs survive a tank?
apuszczalowski replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tanking is something that the koolaid fans make up as an excuse to justify their team being garbage in a rebuild. No franchise ever goes into a season with the intent of losing g games just to ensure a better chance of drafting #1 overall. How can that be justified to the rest of the team filled with players who have careers that have expiry dates, and ticket buying customers? This is another year of a rebuild that is not going the way they had hoped. The front office believes they have something in Nate Peterman and they have an obsession with draft picks. They want their own guys and decided to ship off guys that didnt meet their standard and take a cap hit now so they hope they will be able to attract some talent in the offseason. I6s still a valid question to ask even if you change it to how many coaches survive a full rebuild? (Not a simple retooling) How many times have teams been in a rebuild, and that coach that was supposed to be the one to get them through it gets fired just before they start getting good? You could say Hue Jackson was one of them, Fisher with the Rams, etc. Guys that were the coaches through the bad years as they rebuilt and didnt get to stay on til they turned the corner. -
Official Christmas Thread!

In all seriousness, we do have remembrance day here on November 11th that is held as a serious day that banks and some government get as paid holidays. They are trying to make it a paid holiday for everyone. I'm surprised the nation that holds service and military in much higher regard doesnt have the same, I guess people would be afraid of the 11th or 12th being a national day of kneeling? As for Christmas, growing up my family always said Christmas started after your Thanksgiving. Trees, because we had real ones, didnt go up til a week or so before, and came down once the Ukranian Christmas was over in January. I came home last night to a Christmas tree up with lights on. My wife and her family celebrate the start of Christmas on November 1st, then have the trees being taken down December 26th. I dont like Christmas.......... -
TNF week 9: Final Battle of the Bay? The Bosa Bowl?
apuszczalowski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They will probably tell you Carr sucks and is horrible, and they are building a dynasty following the Bill's method of cutting anyone with talent to collect the golden draft picks that will be used to obtain a franchise QB and all the other essential pieces who will pan out and achieve greatness. Or that the game has passed him by while in the commentator booth and he just sucks.... Either way -

man, I thought that with the 49ers throwing in their 3rd stringer with no NFL experience that the Raiders would be the ones coming away with a 31-3 win tonight, almost took them in a survivor pool too, boy did I luck out -
I hear Cena, and possibly Bryan have told the WWE they will not be attending this one so they wrote off Cena from it

Just have to write this out to believe it (QBs)

Well not putting yourself into this poor cap situation might be the first thing. Keeping some talent around and build off of it instead of dumping everyone and having to bring in your own guys. What is there to be positive about if your not drinking the Koolaid that "everything will be alright, the process will right the ship!"? Its negative around here because there very little to actually be positive about with this team right now and things are getting worse and not better. -

Well he did have that amazing pedigree and track record to hang tour hat on knowing he very well will one day become a franchise QB. It's not like his scouting report had him as being a 'Backup QB' at best. The Browns probably wouldn't have draft Mayfield this year if the Bill's would have only let them have Peterman instead of Taylor.... -
The next kick he tried to call a fair catch on someone should have just speared him or took out his knees or head after he caught it. Take the penalty and I'm sure thousands of Bill's fans will take up a fund to pay the fine. The guy calls for a fair catch, then just before let's the ball go past him as the Bill's player is holding up so he wont make contact with him, then Edelman launches himself head first into the Bill's players helmet (not putting his hands up to stop or prevent him from contact, or get out of the way) trying to hit someone who was trying to hold up and not make contact with you. Classy NE/Boston way........ It was disappointing to see William's get back and sack Brady, but lay him down nicely instead of going through him. Almost as bad as seeing the multiple shots of Kelly all over Brady during warmups before the game.
