This is not going to be a good game for anyone wanting to see any shred of defence being played...... -

I dont think the problem with Woods was that they disnt think he was good or wanted him everyone just thought he wasnt worth the money he would get as he wasnt a #1 WR and would get paid closer to one on the open market. Just go back a few years and read the posts around here. Goodwin was let go because he couldnt sray healthy and everyone felt he would rather be running track then play football -
So when Bell sits out and wont return texts from teammates while refusing to play because $14 million isnt enough money for him, hes just doing what he has to do for himself and it doesnt matter cause his teammates are just coworkers. Davis decides he cant keep playing anymore and retires during a game when he feels he is hurting the team and he is a vile disgusting human being who left his teammates for dead on the battle field during war. It's a game people.......

Derek Anderson must have really gotten walloped
apuszczalowski replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don't have to hit your head to suffer a concussion, a quick enough jerk or snap of the head back and forth can cause a head injury. -

Most likely IR if they can. If they dont need him to play, it saves a roster spot and he can still spend time with Allen around the facility. Concussions and brain injuries are never simple matters and can take lots if time to recover from. You dont know how many DA may have suffered over his career too -
Did anyone catch the video from sports illustrated that has J. Peterman discussing Nate Peterman?

I Wonder What it is Like to be Released in the NFL
apuszczalowski replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
its probably similar to get fired from any other job, you get sat down in an office and told they are letting you go, wish you well and lead you out of the building. From what I have seen, most places today don't let you go back to get your stuff, they have people doing that when you are in the office being let go. Theres a chance the NFL may be different and let you get your belongings and say good bye, but theres a chance they have people doing that for you too. In most cases, the players know they are on the bubble and may have had their agents give them info about it. I think your wrong, doesn't the NFL have a deal with Microsoft for use of the Surface pros? They use them on the sidelines, I would assume they use them for playbooks too Knowing their luck, the Bills and Browns still probably use Blackberry playbooks -
Big Ben Texted Bell Before Deadline-NO ANSWER
apuszczalowski replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whats funnier is the old tweet that was dug up recently of Bell talking about how players who are willing to sit out for money don't love the game and are just in it for the money And to those previous people talking about how this is just like a 9-5 job and the players are co-workers, they have obviously never been near any sports teams. Even in the Pros these guys most of the time are like family, they may not all get along all the time (like any family) but they are much closer then most of your average co-workers in an office environment. has holding out like this ever really worked out well for the player? The argument doesn't really work because in a drunk driving situation, the crime is whether you drove under the influence of alcohol or drugs, there is no crime being committed because consent was not given, the crime is getting behind the wheel under the influence. Arguing that you were too drunk to make a rational decision and got behind the wheel just proves the case for the prosecution because you admitted to the crime. As for the incident and having security at the door, it could be argued he asked people to stand by the door so they wouldn't have people walk in on them in there? -
If this is true, and I doubt it is, it would be a move to buy them time to find a young franchise QB and not have to pay Dak big money. If they can convince Eli to come in for a decent salary (maybe some additional perks from Jerry?) They think his play will be better behind a good line and buys them some time to transition to someone new and maybe a good mentor. I think the Giants would make a mistake letting him go and would keep him to play and mentor a QB they draft in the 1st next year and buy them some time before giving him the reins. Well we all know when Jerry says something he always means it and sticks to his word. Didnt he say one time that a coach was safe then fire him like a week later?

WTF with the “feel bad for Peterman” posts?
apuszczalowski replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think anyone really disliked the pick, I never remember seeing that here. If anything I would say most liked the pick as being a potential backup QB but may have been anger towards the front office for not making a QB pick earlier in the draft for a potential starter. Then McDermott put him in while they still had a chance at the playoffs which also can be seen as understandable cause the offence needed a shakeup. Unfortunately he had one of the worst starts in league history and was mercy pulled by half time. Most players drafted where he was without a great college background dont usually pan out, and it became even more of a joke when he kept getting forced back into games by the coach. -

apuszczalowski replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, he got to live out a dream very few ever do, got paid well for less than 2 years of work, and can now fall back on the free education he was given that allowed him to play a game and live out a dream. Guys suck and get their dreams crushed all the time in pro sports, I wont personally feel bad for any of them that they didnt make it though. I think he was referring to Watson and Mahommes on the draft McDs first season. -
He would probably have to order multiple ones to make sure one gets to you, then everyone else in the bar can make him feel better and blame is on the bad waitresses, and poor bartending for why they all didn't get to you........ I am assuming he will get to 'Lead the Charge' before they induct his name on the wall at half time during the game?

WTF with the “feel bad for Peterman” posts?
apuszczalowski replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was going to say the same thing, Couldnt wait to run Tyrod out of here and he was the QB for the bills first playoff team in almost 2 decades. Maybin, Whitner, couldn't wait to get rid of them and no one wished them luck or felt bad. JP was a good guy who tried to clean up parts of the City and can't recall a people hoping him well I'm not even going to get into coaches......... -
Because that's how the Bill's are viewed by the rest of the league, they shouldn't be able to destroy a team the way they did. And its what happens when 2 bad teams face off, it looks worse for the losing team to get trampled. The fact that a complete dumpster fire of an offence, came out and scored over 4 games worth of points for them with a QB who has only been on the roster 2 weeks and hasnt played in a while, and your offence was getting shut out playing a veteran you brought back who was supposed mentor tour prized rookie makes things so much worse.

People really think its over? If they are forced to make a move they will probably hunker down in a bunker or church praying Nate makes it through waivers to get him to the practice squad. Otherwise he stays until they can justify going back once Barkley falters..... Playing Anderson and Barkley were just ways to appease the pitchfork masses and to say they tried something, didn't work, and that it's not a QB problem. Unfortunately it didnt work this week and now the plan may backfire on them.

Are Elite Defenses on Brink of Extinction?
apuszczalowski replied to HumbleAndHungry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think it will ever go away, but the requirement that you need to have a great defence, or that its defence that wins championship is not necessary any more. Today's game is all about offence and being able to outscore your opponent. You dont need to dominate and hold them back, as long as you can match them point for point. An average defence with a high scoring offence is how many of the best teams have been built. Not many teams will focus on trying to get a defence that will shut down opponents cause most offences today are too hard to shut down. -
If you really think Gurley is just some average RB you may want to start following a sport more to your level, like dodgeball?

Bills vs. Jets Postgame and Bye Week News
apuszczalowski replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering they believed it was best to have him sit and learn to start the season and only forced him into action cause Peterman threw up all over himself in Baltimore, it's not an easy decision. Throw in the fact that he can probably pack up his office and expect to be gone at the end of this year after losing g the lockerroom if he doesnt start Barkley after the game he had today. Does anyone really expect there to be a player on that field who will be happy that they fi alot look like an NFL offence, and the coach goes back to the rookie because the fans want to see what they have and think it's impossible for him to get better by not playing? -
Who's the worst team in the league now ?
apuszczalowski replied to 1st&ten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Giants, Raiders, Jets, not necessarily in that order though. Dolphins appear to be looking to enter this group without Tannehill. Cardinals seem to be getting a little better but wont win much. 49ers will depend on if this QB can keep playing like last week. Bill's are such a Jeckell & Hyde team, when they are good they can be real good. But when they are bad its not watchable....
