  1. Middle ground between the teams? Mets and Yankees share the same state and could have it in their deals that it goes by the state. Toronto, Cleveland and Pittsburgh are all short drives away But are you really missing much? The Indians have been pretty good the last few years, Pittsburgh is Pittsburgh, and they Jays continue to blow games with Japans Strikeout King.....
  2. Bet you there are some horses in Philly that are jealous......
  3. Have you started wearing shorter shorts to show off those implants now?
  4. It was crazy here the last few years where everything was going for over asking and being sold right when or just before it even hit the market. Just over 6 years ago, it took a lot of time to sell a house and you could get it cheap. After cleaning up and doing some maintenance/renos on my old house (which was a rental for college students for a year before I bought it and was known by those around it as the party house), It took me almost 5 years to sell the house having it on the market for off an on during that time period for what i paid + the cost of the new furnace I had installed. Bought my current house for under asking price and within a year the real estate market started going crazy. House was appraised by the bank a few years ago at about 2-1/2 times more then we paid, and now we have a neighbor selling a house accross the street for almost 4 times what we paid. All thanks to the fact that the region became a hotbed for retirees fleeing Toronto. Of course good luck trying to get anything reasonable or not having to bid over asking on a place......
  5. And if things start to go bad for the Bills this season, they can pull the 'L' off of it ...... Tushy might also chip in to help cover the costs!
  6. People around here when it started thought it's great because of how much their values went up and how much they would make selling, but then don't realize that your now going to go and get into a bidding war and overpay for your next place because the values are so much higher. Its a great time here to sell if you are downsizing and don't need to buy again.
  7. Disagree, the bottom line in baseball like many sports is in the TV deals now. And the TV rights are sold to one network. Sure you might be able to make money selling it off to multiple networks, but not as much as one network would pay for exclusive rights to it. Plus the league's have their own networks and streaming packages where they will make more money from the people who don't get certain teams or games in their area. Fan of the Dodgers but in St Louis? Get the MLB Network package to watch the game.
  8. Why would you split an order? You get your own and get a second order for her which you then get to have for yourself.....
  9. I don't really watch it outside of maybe parts of a couple of Indy car races a year I would much rather be in the drivers seat then in the stands.......
  10. Alot of areas are seeing people getting out of the Big Cities after all of this Mostly its because of Companies realizing they can have people working from home and save money on offices so people don't need to live in the city because of work. Add in that people are also worried about being stuck in their home again during another lockdown and they are looking for homes with property so they don't get stuck in a small apartment and can atleast have some outdoor space to enjoy. I think we will see a big push in the next year or so, but then many will be going back once things return to 'Normal' and Covid is behind us once they realize the work required to maintain a home with any sort of property to it. Also it will end up just raising the prices of the cheaper homes now and not be worth it if you don't get in early.
  11. Can coaches opt out of the season? Right now Kraft is handing out Massage coupons and dropping unmarked Bags of cash around the lockerroom. They brought in Cam to show the league and everyone else that they are serious about this season while they 'retool' during the unknown season. Seriously though, this could end up being similar to the scrub season and have teams looking to warm bodies to fill roster spots
  12. I think Car racing is better on tv then live, unless you have pit passes or something like that. Although I guess most Nascar fans are similar to many football fans and are just there for the party/drinking and the actual race/game is secondary
  13. They would have to carry Sportsnet, a Rogers station that has the rights to broadcast all Jays games.
  14. I remember him being called a racist because he continued to call it the China/Wuhan virus, but that's it.
  15. I don't think anyone can expect there to be no positive tests, the key is trying to control large outbreaks which was the goal of all the closures and social distancing, etc. The hope is to get the spread down so that it doesn't overload the health system and any spread is a slow spread. It always expected to see spikes as things open and we get back to normal. I know, that's what I was referring to, lol After big wins are we now going to see the coaches/players having jugs of sanitizer dumped on them instead of Gatorade?
  16. Plus the sport has alot more physical contact between the players. Baseball has much less contact between players. Plus baseball players can sanitize between pitches and keep some on them while on the field....
  17. I was never considered essential here (atleast not when they talk about essential workers or give them bonuses) Soni have been working the whole time. I have been working a bit more around the house trying to get stuff done. Although working part of my job from home I find at time I have been working more
  18. I thought I heard on Top Gear (American version with Tanner Faust) that they didn't, unless he was referring to some of the older cars.
  19. But Soldiers aren't millionaires divas with entourages that are needed to stroke their egos 24-7. How can they be expected to make it a few months in a quarantine. also, this is the same approach that Baseball has taken with each team quarantining to their own bubbles without access to the outside and here we are....
  20. Well, they would have won if their closer Giles didn't get hurt while pitching the 9th He got the 1st 2 batters then something happened and he hurt himself. Second player in the game to go down for the jays as their CFer Grichuck hurt himself going for a ball hit to centre. Both players left not looking too bad, but sometimes those are the worst and they end up being out a long time. I think this is going to happen more this year because of the shortened training
  21. I believe the cars they drive don't have power steering so it really does a number on the arms
  22. Its not possible if you don't take precautions and do whats required People who have been following every precaution can still get it because those that aren't can still spread it and the precautions are mostly to help you from spreading, not to prevent you from getting it. In places where they have taken it seriously and the majority of the people are following the recommendations/Orders, the spread has slowed down (Just look north where an entire country has less cases them some states have had deaths in a day. And their policies aren't working to well if they are reopening and allowing vacationers to come from other areas
  23. So really your saying this shouldn't affect the marlins at all?
  24. Nope, just have to wait for the weather to get warmer so it all goes away just like the Flu!
  25. The leagues have a good plan, but it doesn't seem the players are as there have been many NBA players who have been caught leaving it for food or strip club visits, or just forgeting to get tested.....
