No argument from me. Fitz is football SMART. If he had Jim Kellys' arm we'd be set for years. That's why I see him as a solid #2 guy. He sees the game, and can help the #1, and come in for a short period and be reasonably effective.

Trent, Brohm and Brown are still open to evaluation. IMO Fitz is what he is, a fair back up. He can win a few games for us, (witness last year) but is not someone to hang the #1 tag on. He seems to understand the game, so I've got no problem with him in the Frank Reich role.

Watching last season made my head explode. I blamed Trent for a lot of that. But many of the surrounding elements have departed, so I'll give the QB issue a rest and wait until training camp to see how things go. Are they complacent or inscrutable? Time will tell. And off topic, y'know what really pisses me off? I love a Buffalo summer, but around this time of year, I can't wait for the Bills' opening day. Which means Summer is over.

NAD makes decent stuff, Cambridge, too. I'm not familiar with Vincent. Try to get one with switchable MM/MC gain. That will cover any cartridge that you choose.

When Josh Reed got hurt, the Bills offensive production went way down. Last year when the TE (Wendling?) got hurt the offense was neutered. Kelly threw to Reed and Lofton. Reich seemed to thow more to Beebe. Sorry, I'm drunk. And not only. It's still better than yelling at one another, IMO. But, I'm drunk.

I've been to Bills @ Miami in the Orange Bowl (0-28 Greg Bell gets hurt on 4th and whatever) and they were using those bastards, air horns, whistles and everything else. No such luck at The Rich, though. Every game, Danny Neaverth (via PA) would admonish anyone who mistakenly brought a prohibited noisemaker into the stadium to turn it in to security immediately. No problem! We did it with our lungs. Go Bills.

There is a whole cult of Technics SL 1200 fans (direct drive) that would burn you at the stake for that comment. While my VPI is belt drive, there are other implementations (a rim drive is available) that work tremendously. Horses for courses, and all that.
