  1. I was gonna yell at the hold bit they called it on the punt. The jets and the ravens cheat on every single play man
  2. How do we get so many bad penalties if we aren't rough and physical? MC clap blows
  3. We still can't run vs a stout front. Sad
  4. 70 is down, adding injury to the insult of the penalty
  5. I like the stop, but my gosh that was a poor d on that drive
  6. I'm thinking a hold on the jets OL will require a slow waltz of contact
  7. True, but we need a nasty attitude and mean spirit for these playoffs coming up
  8. It's crazy what gets called and what doesn't
  9. The jets and Baltimore are the two most physical rough and dirty teams, and I honestly think it pacts our bills sometimes
  10. I love the drunk and rowdy crowd today, but so the camera men and refs have to be boozy and sloppy too? Feels like a fight is gonna break out with a linesman hitting a boom holder with a kid from the crowd
  11. In the 2018/9 super bowl, last of the New England dynasty, they beat the rams and the Rams were like 1 or 2 of 12+ on third down. The Rams had a nearly equal o to what they have now, Goff instead of staffy, prime cupp, complimentary guys, and a sick ol and power backs. They had just monsters on d, Donald and suh in the gut was like a Godzilla King Kong team up. Bill cheater figured he had no answer to the stretch zone and play action system w all the rollouts and cutbacks with his usual d, so he went big nickel and put on a bear front (kinda like what Baltimore did vs us). McVey had no answer and the pats stole one. MCD has occasionally shown a change up, usually it means disguising coverage out of similar formations, the odd zone blitz/rush, or totally selling out to stop either the pass or the run. The wind tunnel game vs Baltimore was the only playoff win where a move against type showed up on D. If he doesn't show he can make something happen this playoff, then any argument that he's not a happy clappy schottenheimer is DOA. He strikes me as a guy who lets the perfect be the enemy of the good, not with respect to risking it all to get those last 5% points of improvement, but based on his mental map of what an unacceptable mistake is. 13 seconds and AJ Kline starting over Williams (who when healthy has been about our best lb all season) shows to me he'd much rather lose whole not allowing a change that risks a deep pass completion than win and make a change.
  12. He's great, and the more old times cultural drops the better. People remember and take a look into cultural history through exposure, if we just leave children to their own social eco systems they become ignorant, and similar for adults too. Anyone alive who hears a ref they don't get and doesn't have the wherewithal to search it in three seconds on their phone should be left in the dark
  13. The hot healthy team, or the team with the easy path, is who wins the Superbowl. We are winning if the d pulls what Cincy did when they went to the chip -- suddenly plays with aggression and makes it hard to score TDS, while the o just goes on fire. We saw the o basically on fire during the 4 game KC, SF, Rams, Lions stretch. We saw the d ball out vs KC and for 2.5/3 quarters vs the lions, and got bailed out mostly by weather vs SF. It can happen, but we need Bishop and Williams and Elam to emerge as players of the future, as well as von to find the old magic and Oliver and Groot to look like they did vs Detroit. So, we have seen this team pull it together, but we'll need them to really do it in the playoffs
  14. Elam isn't great, but I think Douglas has fallen off so hard (age and injuries while not being the fastest to start) elam might be who we role with. He's always around the ball, so there is a chance he gets away w grabs or makes some plays, but he reminds me of a slick wr who just doesn't catch well. Kinda the gave Davis of CBS at this point
  15. He's had moments but is off his form from last season. I think he's been banged up for a lot of the games. He's also a bit of a system guy. He's featured so he gets stats sometimes, but as I always complain if small parts of the d are off the whole thing tends to fall apart. He's somewhere between what we saw last season (where he looked like about the best off ball lb around, less Warner) and what we see this year (just a I've replacement)
  16. Ladd does look better than what we or kc have so far, but it's an incomplete score. Thomas Jr looks like the best guy we mighta had a shot at, but he went fairly high, never would pay what he would cost. At the time we had Samuel for medium FA dollars and Shakir, who's our best guy at slot, along w a lot invested in TE. We needed an outside guy and that was keon. The thing is, we barely throw outside. When teams don't have great nickel coverage or LBs who can't really cover we destroy them w inside the numbers passing. When they can stuff it like Houston and Baltimore did, we need to go outside and that's where we need keon and amari. We really don't throw the ball outside unless we are forced to
  17. I wanted him before the trade deadline. He's fix a whole lot of what we are weak in the d
  18. From where I sit, the biggest flaw we have is an inability to make changes in game that put us over the top vs the best teams. Vs the Rams and Ravens we seemed to try some stuff, but it didn't really help. Our lack of talent this season may well make that impossible, but we seem to have had that problem for a long time now. Maybe MCD is too stubborn, maybe the scheme isn't multiple enough, or maybe the people we have just aren't good enough, but I'll be very pleasantly surprised if the d was up and goes from getting rolled in the first half to being solid in the second in the playoffs. The d was solid vs KC, and for like 3 quarters for at Detroit, so I'm not stopping the gravel in judgement until the playoffs
  19. There should be an emoji scratching its chin as if to say "interesting". What you are saying seems counter intuitive, but they kinda said as much at the press conference.
  20. 6 when 43 went down too. If 42 can play, 54 should sit, that should be clear now
  21. 18 doesn't get much burn, and doesn't get featured, are they saving him? We just don't throw outside the numbers. Biggest issue today -- cool should have had 20+ touches. That would have been a 2+ TD win if he did
  22. It was an awful in division performance that lead to a win
  23. 12 penalties? These refs make me sick
