Despite record, Buffalo offense actually much improved over 2007
colin replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we just need another big time playmaker, and then our O is set. -
jp = worst qb with 30+ starts in nfl history. he is shockingly bad. this is obvious and has always been obvious. losman fans = no clue.

c'mon. freeny would get booed on this board for being weak on the run, getting garbage sacks, not getting enough sacks, and spinning his way out of plays. and the reason why the colts won last night is payton manning. they have the best qb ever, and a ton of weapons on O. that's what it is. that's what we lack -- top qb play (although i hope trent can improve, but he's certainly no peyton) and weapons on O.

ITS THE OFFENSE STUPID!!!
colin replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
bang on. the big problem is the O. they got short fields from our outstanding special teams, i admit our d does need to create way more turnovers for them, but our O just doesn't do well in the redzone and can't manufacture long drives -- bad combo. i think we cannot be a good top 10 kick ass o until we have at least one more play maker. reed and those guys are good players, but we need another guy to compliment evans and lynch who can just rip open a big play. i personally want us to get winslow jr, but there are prolly a few guys out there who can do it. in terms of our playcalling and such now, i don't think it is as simple as being more or less conservative. for some reason, we throw great against 4-3 ds and run badly. against 34 d's we run well (including running all over the jests who are ranked top 4 on the run) and pass badly. we really need to be able to get more consistency overall against any kind of d, but perhaps a football phd would be able to tell me what in our scheme/talent is hurting us in these matchups, but allowing us the success we have had. i still think we can add the players to each side of the ball to be a home playoff team next year. -
Give me your plan to win the Superbowl in 2010
colin replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
here is how we do it (and unless it's cowher or someone like that, i think a change in coaching would set us back more than it helps year 1). 1. first and foremost we need a play maker on O. any big time WR will do, but i think kellen winslow jr would be the best guy for us. that would give us a solid line, young qb improving steadily, and a stud wr, rb, and te. that's championship right there. boldin or someone might be just as good, but i like winslow. 2. pass rush. our secondary is getting v good, and we have solid players (our hated DEs and DTs can play, we just need that one stud on D to put us over the top). i really don't think we can draft a kid who can be that guy year one. i hope ellis comes on, but i don't think he will. i think we need to go out and sight haynesworth or peppers. someone else out there might be ready to step up, but i think peppers williams stroud and aaron would just destroy the passing teams in the afc east. 3. linebacker/front 7 playmaker. i think with our line and qb coming up, and adding a top flight vet playmaker in point 1 we will have our O ready to go even tho it is way worse than any other unit at the moment. adding players to the d always makes a faster impact than to the o, so i think we need 2 new studs on d. i think (that kid from wake for example) there are a few LBs coming out in the draft that would just add a ton to our d in all situations. mitchell is good at times, but can't be our greatest playmaker in the front 7. ellison just isn't a sterter. poz to me is disappointing and perhaps he would be better on the outside, so i think drafting a stud LB either inside our strong side will be our best result. we are actually very good as a d at putting teams in 3rd and long situations, that athletic lb who can make the qb hold the ball that extra half second along with another passrusher on the edge would set up plenty of sacks and fumbles. 4. interior blocking. i think a c or perhaps a G would be the solution to our O line. maybe a C is there in the 2nd round, or we sign a vet. we just need another guy there, i don't think he has to be a super star. 5. depth. we have to get some kids in the draft as well as a vet or two to shore up our safety, lb, OL and WR/TE positions. *** if we make at least 3 of the above adjustments, i think bringing in mcnabb (if trent doesn't just get consistent and stay that way) might be that last bit to push us over the top. with a good running threat in lynch and a line that has shown pass blocking to be its strength, mcnabb could put evans/reed/young guy stepping up/ and winslow into pro bowl territory. if we get those 2 td leads that philly often gets, with our new passrusher and running game we would have enough games sewed up in the 3rd to go 13 wins and get home field to the super bowl. and you know no body but no body would be coming into to buff w home field in the playoffs and winning. -
Los(e)man's total..13points in 10 quarters...

lol my posts tearing the jp lickers a new one are friggen GOLD!!! -
there is a price for everything. i have been hard of peters, but i wouldnt' trade him uless it was for multiple high picks AND we had some real studs targetted AND we figured peters is not really about the team. i'd trade him for 2 firsts, maybe 2 firsts and a couple of extra picks. what we really need is a play maker on O, if we can keep our line at a similar level with someone besides peters and add a winslow and a passrusher and a LB, i'd do it. of course if we can add those guys while keeping peters all the better.

i think this is a good and clear picture of the state of the bills. we are out of the playoffs this year due to turnovers -- we didn't get enough and we gave up too many. both the jets losses, the miami losses, the arizona loss (although i think we just would never have won that one), the clevland game and perhaps the san fran game were due to turnovers. that's 5-6 games, if we were half better on those we would have 3 additional wins, and have a shot at an 11-5 season.

Bills special tems once again special...
colin replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
april is great, but a big part of our success is we draft and sign guys just for ST. that's why we have no depth at the lines, guys who would otherwise be decent backups are just ST demons, but are not ready to step up (wendling has been on the team for a couple years, no snaps at safety even tho we have had many injuries). frankly i'd rather be top 5 or 10 instead of No 1 at ST and have better depth for O/D. -
Buffalo had no business keeping JP on the roster
colin replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the jp losman appoligists will just never stop. jp losman is a horrible horrible qb and a bad buffalo bill. his team mates are openly thankful when someone besides him is the qb (holcombe, trent). he is a loser. jp losman is the worst qb in nfl history to have 30 starts. every single football person knows jp is garbage. -
lol! he has some bad consistency issues. i wonder if he gets a new contract this year? i bet he doesn't, and he actually shows up anyhow. nothing excuses jp tho, worst nfl qb to ever get 30 starts
-
i feel bad that this horrible player was ever on my team. he was always dumb and with bad habits, but what is really bad is how effing lazy he is. he never put the work in once, even with our special coach for him in wyche, to learn the game. he is at least as bad as he was in his 2nd year. he never focussed and never gave a sht. he didn't put the work in, and liking him for some dumb photo op is silly.

+1 the losman lovers have a sickness.

Josh Reed on the verge of tears in locker room interview...
colin replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i really like reed, he is a real bill. jp is such a bag of sht that he drags wr's down with his horrible passes. we are lucky more guys don't get hurt. -
+1 doesn't sound legit.
-
my biggest complaint about the bills O from an X's and O's POV is that we pass out of 5 wide, shotgun, trips, or some other obvious formation. we run (except for the shotgun draws wich NEVER WORK) out of wildcat, I, double back, and double TE. we are just too obvious and vanilla ALL THE DAMN TIME. i can't remember when we threw a screen or ran up the gut vs a blitz, or followed up one of our strong strings of running plays (which we have every damn game) with play action that fooled anyone. i think like gregg williams and his rook oc in his first year, we are just outsmarting ourselves. anyhow, because of all of this lee evans won't get many looks
-
i want hasslet!! guy is buffalo bills through and through, he'd bring fire as well
-
i think i'm going to be sick after watching jp give another one away.
-
let's give jp a better OC, then he'll be good!
-
oh no, you don't like people making jokes on the internet while venting about a football game!! your manager on fries must be incensed!!
-
hey bumwolf, perfect game for your hero!!
-
tell me how jp isn't that bad genius. now tell me how his 2 consecutive crippling turnovers in the 4th are on the coaches. yeah, i'm the idiot. you have no value
-
our coaches are not good, but this loss is 100% on losman being worthless. you can't blame the coaches for calling a rollout where when past the line the qb gets sacked from behind and loses the ball. he is supposed to think and throw, he is the worst ever. his mother is a whore, he is sub human, and his fans are evil
-
your breath stinks of JPs sack. you get up in my face about calling him out, and then blame the coaches for his 2 absolutely horrible plays in a row? you must be a pats fan.

i want the finest seat in the denny's, that one poster better clean my table, the other should bring my grandslam and jalapeno poppers for all the real fans!
