We are so lucky to have a team name not transferable to another city. Makes the team much tougher to move. I doubt Ralph was thinking about that in 59.
You really think a team wouldn't move based on its name? That's not a factor in the slightest.

remember when flutie got us to the playoffs and we played a meaningless week 17 against the colts and rob johnson lit them up and then wade phillips decided to start johnson in the wild card game instead of flutie? yeah let's not repeat ourselves here.
I remember a playoff game that a Rob Johnson-led team had in the bag before one of the worst special teams implosions ever.

That the Marrone-led Bills repeatedly passed on Nassib in the draft said it all. The coach who made Nassib into a draft-worthy prospect in college wanted no part of him at the pro level. Damning.
-
God !@#$ing dammit. Nothing is fair and I hate everything.

Open to you maybe. It's clearly Manuel's job.
-
You mean this? "Living in a world where you fight dogs; you could lose everything (Mike Vick).. If you kill a black man you're not guilty!"
"Damn, Plaxico Burress shot HIMSELF and got 2 yrs! This dude shot and killed another. Yet, he's going home to his sleep number mattress"
Man has a right to his opinion and a lot of people think that way. I'm not so thrilled with the verdict myself although I think the jurors understood the Florida law and applied it correctly.
I don't mind that Stevie is outraged over the verdict. I mind that his comments re: Vick and Burress are completely ignorant and make him look like an uneducated jackass. Vick lost everything? BS. He ran a dogfighting and gambling ring, was rightly punished, and is now back in the NFL making millions. Apparently Stevie doesn't think he deserved punishment, which makes Stevie a moron. And Burress didn't go to prison because he's black; he went because he broke the law.
At least he didn't tweet what Roddy White did, I guess, but my respect level for my favorite Bill has sadly decreased nonetheless.

Stevie Johnson, whom I have always been a fan of, is making a "turd" of himself on Twitter this evening. It's unfortunate to witness.

I'm pretty sure I read a "culture change" thread on here every offseason. Still waiting. I do like Marrone and the rationale behind this draft, though.

Sabres. They're at the start of their tear down before rebuilding process. I think they are farther away from turning things around as it seems that it usually takes longer in the NHL.
Tell that to Montreal.
The Bills just need to find a QB, the rest will take care of itself.Oh, is that all? The Bills have had a really easy time of doing that since 1996.

I don't understand why this bothers people. It gives us a qb better than Tarvaris Jackson who can play for awhile until a rookie is ready. Better than being 1 injury away from Brad Smith playing quarterback for us lol
Why is it better? So they can win a few games with Kolb but still come nowhere close to the playoffs? That isn't better than finally bottoming out and getting a shot at the No. 1 overall pick and someone like Bridgewater or Clowney. This signing is pointless and it might prove detrimental toward building a good future. The Bills are seemingly always built to rack up 5-7 wins per year - bad, but not bad enough - and this signing is indicative of that notion.
-
What a !@#$ing awful signing.

Interesting, I see the raiders, one of the bottom feeders actually getting back on the right path. The Palmer deal was not done by current FO staff. And, Al Davis kid seems to be serious about the team with out the old mans pageantry.
At least like KC their trying to get better. Even with 2nd choice QB candidates.
Settling for backups and "2nd choice QB candidates" is not the right path.
-
Just not sure they can give up on Gabbert yet.
Their new management has no ties to Gabbert.

So we should bring in a guy who's a bit better than TJax so we can win 7 games instead of 4 games?
Or do people just want to tie up more money in a veteran backup quarterback?
No one will make me understand the point of bringing in a second-tier veteran quarterback.
You're spot on with this.
-
He'd be a good addition.
-
So he's a moron and off-field problem waiting to happen, and he's coming off an Achilles' tear. Bring him in!
-
id bet miami, with the high priced free agents if they arent doing denver/pitt
Good call. You'll probably be right.
-
they will pick a team that they think will keep it close.
Most likely, but the sacrificial lamb theory might hold a bit of water. It's already enough of a joke that the champs have to start on the road. Sending them to a place like Denver would be a double whammy of unfairness.
-
they want a competitive game to kick the season off - not a blowout either way.
Ideally, yes, but I'm sure the NFL knows its opener is going to draw massive ratings regardless of whom the Ravens play.
-
It makes some sense. Even though the Ravens are the champs, the NFL is forcing them to open on the road. To make up for it, maybe the league will give them a sacrificial lamb opponent in Week 1.
-
do you really feel Lawson a scrub?
He's closer to "scrub" territory than "good" territory.
-
Build through the draft. Nail the picks. That is and always will be, the answer.
Far easier said than done with Buddy Nix in charge.
