Yeah Tuel lit it up against the redskins...
Wasn't he, like, 19/23 against the Colts? So both he and White had one great preseason game apiece. Much ado about nothing. Neither is an NFL QB.
-
Isn't pat white the Redskins QB that killed our Defense? I think we should sign him.
Jeff Tuel also killed defenses during the preseason. White hasn't had a pass attempt since 2009, and has never even completed a pass in his NFL career. He's not good.
-
The thing that gets me is if Freeman is so good, why is he available?
Nobody thinks Freeman is "so good," but he's clearly the best quarterback available and the Bills are without a quarterback.
-
As apposed to that much accomplished NFL QB we should sign? Who would that be?
Freeman is "much accomplished" compared to what else is out there.
-
Great. Another guy who has accomplished absolutely nothing at the NFL level. He'll fit in with Tuel in that regard.
-
Freeman has played for one team, thrown 25 TDs or more twice, and 4,000-plus yards once. Carr has played for four teams, never throwing more than 16 TDs or 3,500 yards in a season. But Freeman is the retread?
-
Did you predict then beating the 16-0 NE team?
How are the 2007-08 Giants relevant to the 2013 Giants?
-
None of them. They're all horrific. I guess Pittsburgh is the "best" of the group.
-
This is my viewpoint as well.
But at least Powell isn't the guy doing the punting amirite???
Well played, sir.
-
The way I see it is that either the Bills sign Freeman or they punt their season away five weeks into it. He's the only available QB capable of helping them win games. Every other option is absolutely terrible.
-
They all agreed that out of all the available QB's the only one we could get and have a chance to win next week vs Cinci is Freeman
They're correct.
-
Pettine has been tremendous. Marrone has made some errors, but I'm OK with him so far. Hackett? Not impressed yet.
-
So if you make plays against the Bills you still suck because the Bills suck more in your opinion? Does Kiko suck? Does Mario suck?
Yeah, if a team isn't good, it means every player on its roster isn't good. That's exactly the point I was trying to make.
Kiko and Mario are excellent players. They can't make up for all the weaknesses littered throughout the roster, though.
-
Again, beating the Bills doesn't make a team "good." The Bills themselves aren't good. It's not that hard to comprehend.

pretty sure freeman wants to be a starter
Freeman isn't in position to be choosy. Tampa just shopped him around the league and nobody bit. If he wants a job, he'll have to sign with a team whose backup is lousy or sign with a team whose starter is injured. Buffalo fits both categories.
-
No they aren't. Their defense and special teams are solid, but no team that has Brandon Weeden as its QB and and Willis McGahee as its RB is "good."
-
He's going to choose a spot where he might end up winning a starting role.
Where better than Buffalo, which looks to be down its starter and has zero capable backups?
-
Freeman is going to want a multi year deal which I doubt the Bills would offer him and I doubt he'd want to come be EJ's backup. As much as the Bills might want Freeman for this year I doubt we're an attractive landing spot for him.
Freeman doesn't have the leverage to demand a multiyear deal or a starting role. No one's going to sign him to start unless their No. 1 QB is injured (i.e. Buffalo, possibly). A team like Jacksonville is better off tanking than going after him.
-
Freeman has had some success in the league. He's the obvious choice as far as signing someone goes. Obviously, even if Manuel is OK for the next game, Tuel can't be the backup. He's terrible.
-
The Browns just held the Bengals to six points. Why is the notion that they'll hold the less talented Bills to nine absurd?
-
If what Levitre said back then is even 1/2 true, what an indictment to this FO --- again, Brandon is the problem -- get rid of him and we might have a chance --- isn't 13 years enough misery for one fan base
The man who owns the team is the problem. That's not Brandon.
-
Letting Levitre walk was a mistake from the get-go and that bad decision is coming home to roost. The Bills don't even give themselves a chance when they let players like him leave.
-
It's so frustrating how bad Dareus is.
-
BTW, from a chat post @ PanthersHuddle...
"Wow, McKelvin is a great CB!"
He has been this season.
Alot of room out on the limb - We beat Bengals

The Bills might beat the Bengals with Freeman. They won't with anyone else.
