You know in an odd way, that makes sense. He certainly brought our offense to a halt!
I think Marrone was a decent coach it was offensive coordinator and o line that sucked. And when you bring in a new coach they always have to have a new system , not that I worry about them changing the offense. I worry about them changing the defense.
Your concern about a defensive change is reasonable, but bear in mind Marrone hired the terrible offensive coordinator and was supposed to be an O-line guru. But the OL was horrible during his tenure. The only thing I liked about him was the fact that he hired Pettine and Schwartz.

I know, here we go back to 6 and 10 again or maybe if we are lucky 7 and 9
Why? They went 9-7 in spite of Marrone, not because of him. His departure is not in itself a bad thing. If the Bills replace him with an even worse coach, sure, but that remains to be seen.

I want it to be Rex. I think it'll be Reich.
-
Adam Gase. He might end up a good one, but I'm leery of someone riding a great QB's coattails to a head coaching job.

Better there than with an AFC team that isn't the Bills. He's a hell of a coach.

I agree Pegula's credibility is not at stake at all. I can see the argument for continuity. IMO it is only a bad argument because it will be Marrone continuing.
Pegula can fire him now or a year from now. He is not an NFL caliber coach. I hate to see us waste another year and have the defense get older. Then you could be looking at a coaching and roster blowup, not just a coaching blowup.
All of this is correct. Whaley can stay for at least another year. Marrone has to go right now.

It would be a cap hit of around 16-17 million for the next 4 years.
Guaranteed money expires after 2016. Two-year stopgap.
-
But a one-and-done run though... Kinda like your fantasy team.
One and done > adding another year to the drought.
-
Right, because the O is supposed to score 40+ and rack up 500 yards of offense each and every week.
Nice straw man. Let me know when that happens once, btw.
-
Can't be that bad, bro. Look at the scoreboard and the standings.
They're 7-5 thanks to their defense, which scored a touchdown yesterday. Otherwise the offense had a whopping 19 points and 287 yards. It's subpar and so is the play calling.

No. Bills at Broncos isn't a better matchup than Patriots at Chargers.

If we have to get rid of Marrone(and have yet to hear a convincing argument...that isn't based on some subjective crap), why wouldn't we go with Schwartz? What specifically, performance-wise, right now, is Harbaugh doing better than Schwartz?
You realize succeeding as a coordinator is a lot different than succeeding as a head coach, right, and that Schwartz already failed miserably in the latter role once? Harbaugh took over a team amid an eight-year playoff drought and has led it to a 43-16-1 record. That's a .700-plus winning percentage over a large sample size. It's not a one-year fluke. He's helped get them to a point where 7-5 is a colossal disappointment - in the best division in football, no less. He's an elite HC, something the Bills could certainly use.

Yeah, right. Surely co-owner Kim Pegula would be on board.
-
Bradford. He's got great skill but needs a line to protect him. We are in the process of building that line. The Rams might trade him for a 5th round pick.
They're probably going to cut him.
Look else where like they used to, CFL or Arena league maybe for occasionally teams find gems who were not ready when they came out of college for NFL.
Yeah, I'm sure the Bills will solve their nearly 20-year-old QB woes with a CFLer or arena leaguer. Come on.

Can we assume the Toronto Series is dead for good?
It clearly is. Pegula's Mr. Buffalo. He's not putting a Buffalo Bills home game in Toronto.

Everyone on WGR is terrible, Capaccio included.

I for one would support a Goo Goo Dolls vs Bon Jovi "band off" competition.
I'd rather opt for deafness.

Wow. This team is !@#$ed.

Are the people who voted Team USA > Bills kidding? Turn in your fan cards.

OP made some good points but totally undermined them with the 0-16 nonsense. The Bills have fielded much worse teams than this during their playoff drought and haven't come close to a winless season. Also, the new owner's probably going to bring in a fresh staff if the team badly misses the postseason again (with, say, a 6-10 record), so there's no reason whatsoever to root for 0-16 - especially without a first-rounder. That's incredibly dumb.
As the Sabres' owner, Pegula made the mistake of retaining holdovers from the prior regime - Regier and Ruff, who, despite their faults, have accomplished way more than Whaley and Marrone ever have - and it blew up in his face. He won't commit the same error with a grossly underachieving football team. The sword of Damocles is hanging over the entire front office and coaching staff right now. Most/all will be gone if the Bills are garbage again this year.

Whitner is a moron. Watkins didn't even say anything inflammatory.

Jennifer Lawrence vs. Scarlett Johansson. He picked Scarlett with the mention of the JL skin condition.
No idea what he's talking about. J-Law doesn't have a skin condition.

This is the best Bills news since ... I can't remember when. He's a dream owner.
