Except for criticizing Edwards' use of gloves, your points are pretty much correct. I couldn't care less about gloves; even Brady used to wear them. If the guy feels more comfortable wearing them, so be it.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Dolphins were to miss the playoffs next season. For one, they'll have to play a first-place schedule instead of a last-place schedule. Also, Parcells' teams have been known to exceed expectations in Year 1 and fall back a bit the second (see his time in Dallas as an example). As for the rest of the division, the Jets aren't that big of a threat -- especially if Favre sticks around -- and the Pats are the Pats. If the Bills can actually get a coaching hire right for a change (an Everest-sized order, I know), they'll have a chance to compete.

I'd rather have the Patriots make it than the Dolphins, which didn't use to be the case. What's happened this season is that my hatred for the Pats has turned to respect; how can you not be in awe of their ability to lose big-time players and simply chug forward? Eleven wins without Tom Brady is a damn impressive feat, one I never thought I'd see when he tore his knee up in Week 1. Props to Matt Cassel, whom I like a lot, and even Bill Belichick, whom I greatly respect far more than ever before. The past two seasons have demonstrated that the Patriots don't need a camera to be a top-notch team.
