  1. I've watched a few Eagles games this year and paid closer attention to them than usual. The judgment I've made is that Andy Reid is largely a product of the talent he has to work with; he's made a ton of awful decisions.
  2. Yeah, he can, and he is. Not many of you people actually watch football, do you? What Vick did off the field is egregious enough, but as bad a person as he is, he might be a worse quarterback. The guy is flat-out useless. The Bills are even more of a joke if they sign Vick and entrust their offense to him.
  3. I said the same thing while watching the Texans game. Pretty much a carbon copy of the Saints game in terms of holding a big-time offense in check for a while before the dam broke, and obviously the offense did absolutely nothing in either contest.
  4. Larry Fitzgerald is 6-foot-3, which is pretty damn big.
  5. Yes. For one, the Texans have a bad run defense, so the Jackson/Lynch combo ought to have a good day and help the Bills control the clock. Secondly, it's a home game, which is an obvious advantage; finally, you never know which Texans are going to show up on a weekly basis. They are a Jekyll-and-Hyde bunch that looks like a playoff team one Sunday and a train wreck the next.
  6. A lot of worthwhile charities could've used that money. What an embarrassment, especially considering it's nothing more than a tactic to humiliate a nice guy who happens to be a lousy football coach. It won't have an effect on Ralph Wilson one way or another. Just because Jauron can't coach doesn't mean you drag him through the mud.
  7. Charley Casserly would be nice, but I doubt Ralph would hire a real football man as the GM. He'd rather just let the marketing extraordinaire make the key football decisions.
  8. I saw Brandon's post-game comments and he had the same demeanor and same type of answers after last year's loss to Miami in Toronto. So, he can look as disappointed as he wants and talk a big game about "doing whatever it takes," but nothing is going to happen. Why? Because Wilson has shown no willingness to buy out Jauron, which should have happened late last season.
  9. Two completions allowed, six points surrendered (three, for all intents and purposes). Yeah, the defense lost the game today. Put down the glue.
  10. Yep. I'm an optimistic person, but this is truly an embarrassing team. The Bills and Browns just set pro football back a hundred years with that exhibition.
  11. Absolutely. I didn't even recognize the guy at first.
  12. The Bucs just spent a first-rounder on Josh Freeman. Thus, I don't think they'll be in he running for a QB in April, though stranger things have happened.
  13. Holmgren isn't any likelier to come here than Cowher, Gruden or Schottenheimer.
  14. Gruden is already my favorite color analyst. Typical garbage from Yahoo! Sports and "MJD." Nice hat, loser.
  15. The gent in my avy should be the future of the Buffalo Bills.
  16. Doesn't the term "handpicked" imply that the Steelers planned to hire Tomlin well beforehand? I recall Whisenhunt and Grimm, the in-house guys, being the leading candidates to succeed Cowher, but Tomlin -- who was on the Vikings staff then -- wowed the Rooneys in his interview and got the job.
  17. Yep. I was trying to think of the best cheap candidate, and Grimm came to mind. At least he wouldn't tolerate his team playing like a bunch of heartless sissies. Plus, he was a great O-lineman in his day and has been a very successful assistant on two teams that have gone to Super Bowls (Pittsburgh, Arizona). Perfect low-cost guy to whip the Bills into shape.
  18. They both suck. You're choosing between a douche and a turd sandwich.
