I think Beane thinks like me. And I have no idea what he will do. And I think he doesn't either until he sees how the draft board starts to fall. I think Beane wants to go into every draft with extra capital, like I would do. So he won't trade up to two unless he is positive the guy there is as close to a sure thing as you can have. And even if he does go up to get that guy, then he has the problem as has been mentioned about our patchwork line. You can't put a rookie behind that line (as we have seen). I don't know what will happen but I think the most likely thing is he waits to see who drops out of the top and then if he likes him, he gets him. Then you start McCarron and give him the best chance you can so you can trade him for a first or second round pick next year, or keep him if he turs out really good.

I agree with the premise of your post BOB. We Bills fans of course feel it the most because we haven't had a qb in so long. So we know how futile it can be without a qb. And we know the future rides on how we solve that problem this year. It will determine our standing for years to come. And still people right here who experience it year after year, will tell you that you are wrong. What are you going to do? In sum of course there is a way to address it but they won't. It would take an owner who is skilled and smart at football and there are few or none. The owner has to do some of the long term planning because they fire GMs too quickly. And the new one comes and tears down everything So it has to be the owner. And they fire the coaches even faster. And coaches are all inbred and traditional and come from coaching "trees" just as our ancestor monkeys did. So everybody is trained and brought up the same way. And then the coaches all rotate around so that our new coach is somebody's old coach. Over and over again. Plus everyone is still making boatloads of money. Maybe that is the main thing. No matter what they do they make money. Why tinker with that? I have a whole post I coudl wrote about te Qb spot and how it coudl be handled way better maybe, but Im in no hurry to write it beause all it will get me is everybodyt calling me stupid. And i cvan get that with a short post and little effort. Anyway I feel your pain and I agree with you. I just think it won't happen fast. So until it does the bills gotta get a qb!

Mayfield - short, angry, Napoleon complex, keeps records of every reporter who dissed him, doesn't use the pocket, public drunk, a TV gonad grabber. Rosen - rich, too fragile, a concussion waiting to happen, everyone hates him, will quit when it gets hard, big mouth will cause distractions. Darnold - System QB, another USC mirage bust, only 2 years starter, barely out of diapers, constantly turning the ball over. Allen - A big armed future bust, an athlete not a QB, can't aim, is all hype, should be 3rd or 4th round project, in top 5 must be a joke. Jackson - Raw, inaccurate, will take off running if first option isn't there, never learned to go through progressions, not very smart, his mom is a PITA, doesn't set feet right. Lol at the bold. Waffles are better, agreed. I have noticed that Rosen actually tends to post the goofiest looking pictures of himself. I don't know why.

One thing I am noticing is that all this has put Mora in the limelight. Maybe that is what he is after. Saying Rosen is a nice boy gets him two minutes of attention. But this game he is playing is stretching into days of 24/7 Mora.

I thought we could make a thread that we can look back on in a year or two that contains all the criticisms of this year's QB class. Every time I try and pick a favorite qb in the draft, I then read a ton of very harsh criticisms why they are doomed and will stink. It isn't very fun and this time is stressful enough. So if you want come in and put the reasons why the QB's in the draft stink and you can put who said it too if you like. For Darnold Chris Simms said he isn't the best at anything at all except for making turnovers. Do you have stuff you want to vent about?
