  1. If Bush really wants to make headlines that would tie directly to the Bills, he could pardon OJ Simpson.
  2. We will make the playoffs with a 10-6 record (we will be the wild card). We will beat the cleveland browns, the Kansas City Chiefs, the 49ers, the miami dolphins, and the New York Jets. Things look bleak now, due to our division losses, but we'll get back in the win column next Monday night and keep rolling to 10 wins.
  3. I'm watching the Bills preseason game. Just curious if anyone was going to watch the olympics instead?
  4. The NFL in 2008 is all about winning now, and making money while doing it. Favre gives us the best chance to get to a Super Bowl this year and he will generate revenue for our team. My ESPN comment was all about hype. I don't care if ESPN loves us or not. I do care about our team being noticed again on the big stage, which again will bring us revenue and make us relevant. I am a huge supporter of Trent Edwards and JP Losman (a rarity on this board). I hope they take us to a Super Bowl. However, I think Favre gives us the best chance of doing that in 2008. Sad to say, the NFL isn't about grooming young talent for the future. I wish it was like the 80's and early 90's again, with players staying around for the long haul. But it isn't and that is why I want to win now with Favre.
  5. With the reinstatement letter being faxed in to the league office, the Packers are about to get desperate and give Favre away. I say: bring the Favre circus to BUFFALO. Let Trent learn for two years from one of the best. We would be a national phenomenon- at least for one year. ESPN would have us front and center all season. Deep down you know he'd win more games for us than Trent or JP will. SIGN HIM TONIGHT!
  6. Aaron Rodgers should demand a trade if Favre comes back. Favre and the packers organization has really screwed this up for Rodgers. He seems to be a QB with a lot of potential (See Dallas vs. Green Bay game from last November). Can you imagine the crap this guy will get if he's the starter and Favre is the backup. The crowd would be chanting Favre all game. Sad situation.
  7. I met Darryl Talley about a week and a half ago. He looked great and still in playing shape. He seemed surprised that someone recognized him. I thanked him for all of his playing days in Buffalo. Sad to say, he seemed to be flirting with a 16 year old girl when I came up to say something to him.
  8. I have been thinking about buying a Bills in Toronto tshirt from the Jays Shop at the Rogers Center; however, I just can't bring myself to actually purchase one. It might be a cool keepsake, but my tshirts say BUFFALO and that is how I like it. I feel that if I buy one, I'm encouraging them to move our team. Did anyone on this board buy one? Or, do you plan on buying one? I wonder how the sales of these have been going in Toronto. If this has already been posted, I apologize. I have been out of pocket lately.
  9. I still remember my first trip to Rich Stadium. It was 1993. I live in Texas and my dad drove our entire family all the way to Orchard Park so I could see where my Bills played. It was in the summer and I remember when we drove up, I was in awe looking at the super bowl logos painted on the outside marquee. Even though we lost those games, I still loved seeing the logos-reminded me of our team's accomplishments. My family went to the front desk and we told the secretary where we had driven from. She called someone from the front office and they escorted my family around the stadium. I was amazed at the generosity of the Bills staff on duty that day. As we left, I told the secretary that we were going back to the Super Bowl again the next year (which we did- SB 28). A few years later, I came back to Ralph Wilson Stadium to see the Bills play- it was a December game against Jacksonville (Steve Tasker's last game). I loved seeing the snow coming down and I loved going to downtown Buffalo. My family and I went around downtown throwing snowballs at each other everywhere we went- the locals knew we were from out of town. The atmosphere of the fans and the town was great. I wish I was able to make it up there more. It got me thinking, when was your first game at the Ralph/Rich Stadium and what was it like? Or the Rockpile, for the old timers?
  10. Any of you buying the merchandise with the Bills/Toronto series on it?
  11. We will go back to Tampa next February and win the game we should have won in SB XXV. This is going to be a special year that will result in a Lombardi trophy residing at One Bills Drive. Buffalo's going to the Super Bowl- I've got a feeling.
  12. Rumors out of Tampa indicate that Simms isn't happy with Gruden, or vice versa. GO BILLS! SIGN SIMMS!
  13. Fast Fred Jackson may be the starter in week one if our worse nightmare comes true and Lynch was the one driving his SUV like he drove golf carts in college. Is it too early to order Fred Jackson jerseys?
  14. Dallas Cowboys New England Patriots Texas A&M University University of Oklahoma LA Lakers
  15. If you're a Trent Edwards supporter, you could go to www.johnedwards.com and purchase a bumper sticker (simply cut off the word "JOHN" have it just say EDWARDS 2008). Sorry, I have no link yet for LOSMAN 2008 gear.
  16. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will be our guy at #11 (he looks good). This draft is deep in WR's. There are plenty of receivers that will be left in the 2nd round for us to choose from. Or, we will jump back into the 1st round to take Malcolm Kelly or Limas Sweed. If we got Dominique, that would be a great jersey to get: one that reads "RODGERS-CROMARTIE".
  17. A friend and I are having a discussion on how many picks the Bills have in this year's draft. Would someone please let me know how many we have, and break it down by rounds, to end our discussion. Thanks!
  18. I have this feeling that the Bills game in Toronto (regular season game) will be on Monday Night Football. The NFL will want to showcase this game. I don't think it will be the Thanksgiving night game (too small of a crowd watching on NFL network). What do you think?
  19. JP Losman and Rob Johnson seem to be the same QB. Their careers in Buffalo are eerily similar. Of course, that could be due to the fact that both had mulitple coaching changes during their tenures, bad O-lines, etc... Both seem to hold onto the ball too long, get sacked too much, get replaced by backup QB's , injury prone, etc... And, they were both the QB of the future for the Bills. Anyone feel the same?
  20. Forget Malcolm Kelly. Limas Sweed, out of Texas, is the big physical receiver we need.
  21. I feel the need, the need for SWEED!
  22. Marv Levy is hard to nail down on draft day. I wouldn't be shocked if he went for Ted Ginn Jr with the number #12 pick. I know it's a stretch; however, Whitner was considered a stretch last year. One thing is for sure, Marv makes it entertaining to watch the draft.
  23. The A Train looked good to me last year. He seemed to fit in better with the offense we were running, than compared to Willis. He didn't dance around the backfield, he attacked the hole. I feel he'd be great as our #1 back this year. However, we do need another RB in this year's draft to back him up. What about Ramonce Taylor, former University of Texas RB, in round 6 or 7?
  24. Move up and take Adrian Peterson and sign Brown as a backup or mentor to AP.
