  1. Haslett, Green, Fassell, Cottrell - will any of them get an interview from our team? If so, which one? Buddy sounded like he was interested in getting a head coach that had been an HC before. I'm just curious why none of the UFL coaches have been mentioned yet? This may have been a thread before- if so, I apologize. I'm just curious if any of these will get a serious look.
  2. Thanks for your post! Great reminder. Praying for them.
  3. Before we draft a QB or obtain one in free agency, check to see if they have a winning record. For example: Sam Bradford- won a Heisman and took the sooners to the national championship game. Has a better win/loss ratio. Colt McCoy-won more games than any QB in college football history and took the Longhorns to the national championship game Tim Tebow- won a Heisman and won two national championships. Has a better win/loss ratio. Jimmy Clausen- did not have a winning record at Notre Dame Jevan Snead- won more games than he lost at Ole Miss Mike Vick- won more games than he has lost (barely): (37-31-1) I could go on an on with more QB's, but I think you get the point. Again, check the win/loss ratio before considering a QB.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXVoTWkWTkc I can't decide if LT was doing this to have fun or not. You decide.
  5. Exerpts from Tim Green's book from 1996 (still relevant today, in my opinion): The worst situation is when one one of the three entities: owner, GM, or coach, doesn't get along with the other and doesn't want to cooperate to give us the winning team that we want. Again, it is exlusively up to the owner to recognize this and fix it. This means one of two things. First, the owner must find a cook (a coach) and a butler (GM) who are not only willing, but competent to work together. Or the owner must make it clear from the start that one or the other will be a subordiante. It's all about direction and everyone in the organization working toward the same end and understanding what the final menu will be.
  6. No thanks on Jason G.
  7. I would be thrilled to see the Bills land McCoy or Shipley. Shipley reminds me of Wes Welker. I really admire their work ethic, their committment to winning, and their faith in Christ. Get her done BUDDY!
  8. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dw...ey.3e7322c.html From the Dallas Morning News- Flutie wants Wade Phillips to win. Pay close attention to what the article says about Bills management.
  9. This is a huge what if, but WHAT IF we had beaten the Pats in week one. Would the season have turned out differently? Or would we still be sitting at 6-10? Would Jauron have been the head coach all year after that win? Would we have beaten Jacksonville, Tennessee, or CLEVELAND? I guess we'll never know. Quick, someone tell Marty McFly to get in the Delorean, go back in time, and tell Leodis to take a knee on the kickoff return against New England.
  10. http://www.fanschoice.com/ Rise up Bills nation and vote for Tasker and Reed at fanschoice.com
  11. I think the reason people on this board (like myself) keep using this quote so often is because it fits.
  12. Look at the past few years since Donahoe was dismissed. All ONE BILLS DRIVE has done since is promote from within (I guess Donahoe scarred them for life). That being the case, I'm fully expecting Fewell to be named head coach. Talk about promoting from within, it's still hard for me to believe Alex Van Pelt is our offensive coordinator. Heck, AVP might be our next head coach.
  13. Brandon as president/CEO and promoting a GM from within. I'd say Einstein was thinking of us when he made his famous "insanity quote".
  14. I hope I'm wrong, but the Bengals are looking like the team that will go all the way to Miami and play in the Super Bowl. The Bengals will beat the Bolts or Colts in the AFC championship game.

  16. This time the Bills will really increase fan support if they hire Dungy or Cowher. This would prove that the front office is competent and would show Bills fans that they can hire a coach with a proven track record!
  17. Apparently, Snead hasn't decided if he's going to enter the NFL draft this year. If he doesn't, I say we (Bills nation) take a serious look at Colt McCoy. I'm not a big Braford or Clausen fan.
  18. Snead will be around in the 2nd round. I say draft an Offensive lineman with the 1st pick and Snead in the 2nd round. Mallet isn't bad either. Is Mallet a senior this year?
  19. I'm tired of hearing this "bring Clausen" to Buffalo crap. Draft Jevan Snead from Ole Miss.
  20. Yesterday, I was trying to think about who would be on the all decade team for our Buffalo Bills. Here is my take: Brian Moorman, Fred Jackson, Lee Evans, Jairus Byrd, London Fletcher, Ruben Brown, Antoine Winfield, Eric Moulds, Travis Henry I'm having such a hard time with this list, I can't even think who I would put down as the best QB, TE, etc. for this decade. I guess it would be Drew Bledsoe at QB (ouch!). I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
  21. Here is Rick Gosselin's article from today's Dallas Morning News. We are mentioned in the article numerous times. This is definitely a reason why our Bills are where they are today. Enjoy! http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dw...elin.3bba7.html
  22. I was happy for Losman when he signed with the Raiders this week. In honor of his signing, I wore my Bills Losman jersey. I started to wonder why it is fans like me still like the guy. I guess it's because I know he has a lot of potential and the fact that he went through a ton of coaching changes while in Buffalo. That being said, he still holds on to the ball too long. Regardless, it's funny that a lot of fans, like me, still like the guy. Trust me, I never break out the Rob Johnson jersey.
  23. If the Browns sign a GM before we do, something is wrong. Rebuilding the Browns is a colossal job. In my opinion, our franchise has more upside than the Browns. Currently, we have better players and I feel it wouldn't take a GM too long to succeed with our Bills. I'm just wondering why Holmgren wouldn't prefer us over the lowly Browns. Then again, those lowly Browns beat us this season. I still haven't gotten over that one.
  24. Texas will somehow win the NC. If they played next week, Bama would probably win. The month until the game will make the difference. Texas wins by 3.
  25. Just curious? I feel he's interested in getting back into coaching. I think he brings Vick with him though.
