Red Dragon

Right on Realist! This is the type of statement I have been making for the last week, and have taken tons of heat for. The fans in this community need to take off their red,white and blue tinted glasses, and look at this team as it really is. They are a team going nowhere once again this year. Not only are they playing bad, but they look bad too. Those clown suits that they wear and insist on calling uniforms are embarrasing.

There is not much to discuss about the remainder of this season, so we may as well look to the future.

God has better things to do than intervene in a meaningless activity. The Big Man has more important things to do than allow you some vicarious satisfaction.

Your right. Unfortunately, there is a lot of bad football to play. Face it, they just don't have the players to compete.

Amen. This is a defense that at the beginning of the season has the audacity to compare itself with the alltime greats. They constantly used the word "elite" to descibe themselved. This so called elite defense is weak, and folds every time it is called upon in a critical situation. They are a joke.

The Pats are superior at most every postion. There is your match-up. Get ready to watch another embarrasment, only this time it will out there for the entire country to see. Face it this team is not good enough this year, wasn't good enough last year, and won't be good enough next year.

College players can be rated throughout the year-it doesn't matter if their season is still in progress. Obviously, the rankings will changed based on performance and combine results, but this is a good starting point. The NFL season may not be finished, but I believe the Bills are, so what better time than to look ahead to the draft. After all without the draft, how can the organization sell us on the idea that improvements are being made to the team, so we can all have hope again for next year?

It is certainly conceivable. It is not as if that their performance in Oakland gave me any reason to be optimistic. Houston and SF will probably finish with a worse record than Buffalo, though.

Considering that the Bills are seemingly on an unstoppable slide to the basement, it's time to look forward to the 2006 NFL Draft. Here are my top 12 as of right now. 1. Matt Leinart, QB Southern California 2. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT Virginia 3. Reggie Bush*, RB USC 4. A.J. Hawk, LB Ohio State 5. Mario Williams*, DE North Carolina State 6. Laurence Maroney* RB Minnesota 7. Jimmy Williams, CB Virginia Tech 8. Chad Greenway, LB Iowa 9. Mathias Kiwanuka, DE Boston College 10. DeMeco Ryans, LB Alabama 11. Ahmad Brooks*, LB Virginia 12. DeAngelo Williams, RB Memphis See anyone you like? It looks a little thin at WR, so maybe a back-up running back will be the choice for good ole' Donahoe. Lets hope he is not gun shy about taking a tackle again and draft D'Brickashaw. He should be available if the Bills continue their current pace.

If the money is right, Ralph, or his successor, will turn his back on Buffalo in an instant. Smarten up people! The Bills do not care about you, or how much you love the team, or how much you have supported it over the years. It is a business, just like any other.

When you all were held hostage by the Bills in 1998 (when they wanted the stadium renovated), the Buffalo News did studies on the economic impact of the Bills. Other than the people who rent their yards for parking, people selling merchandise outside of the stadium, and people employed one day a week to work at the stadium, the the economic impact to the rest of the region was minimal. I'm not advocating not watching football, but I am advocating ending the kind of mindless devotion and fanaticism that I see throughout this community (yes face-painters, I'm talking to you).

The Red Dragon was once like you. He bought tickets, watched all of games, and actually cared about the wins and losses. The he had a revelation. We mean nothing to this team. We are only the mass consumers of their product. They contribute nothing of value to you or this area.

The Red Dragon will not get lost, as he is the voice of reason. Add up all the time and money you have wasted on this football team over the years, and you tell me who leads the sad life. I guarantee that it is you. Break free from the hold that the Bills have on you, and you will be a better person for it.

Time For a coup d' etat ! Line the usual suspects against the wall and shoot them down! Ralph - Dead! Donahoe - Dead! Mularkey - Dead! Scouting Staff - Dead! And what will this prove? Nothing. Just as long as all you suckers proceed like sheep to the stadium each week, nothing will ever change. Why should they, since their treasury is filled each week. What's that you say? If we don't support the team, they will leave. Well let me ask you this-other than providing you with some vicarious thrills and some sort of sense that Buffalo is in the "big leagues", what do the Bills do for you personally? Nothing. They don't care about you or the community. Stop supporting this team and let them take their crooked side show to a different city
