  1. 1. We beat the Pats a mere 14 months ago (9/25/2011). 2. I think Belichick is easily ornery enough to stay awake at night thinking of ways to screw every team, and especially those in the AFCE; however... 3. Given that he will run up the score on anybody he can, I doubt the Bills' schedule figured strongly into the spanking they put on the Colts.
  2. I just close my eyes and thing about the most heinous chick I knew in college. That usually reduces the firing elevation enough to clear the "Danger Close" zone.
  3. Our database at work often blitzes, but I just go to my hot READ() and usually hit the OPEN(RECEIVER)
  4. We can call it the Jackson Offense or "Jack-Off" for short. As in "Oh happy day. It's time to watch the Bills' Jack-Off for 3 hours again."
  5. Yep. My friend is a Cowboys fan and even he felt sorry for me after the last two weeks. I brought up exactly the point you just made, and he just nodded sorrowfully and said "That's Chan Gailey, for you."
  6. If those guys should ever somehow acquire half a brain, it would be lonely.
  7. The point was, his current system works pretty well, with or without Brady. Obviously it's better, other things being equal, to have a pro-bowler as your QB. (Although IIRC, they actually had a worse regular season record the following season, when they got TB back.)
  8. Probably not more than 5 or 6 times. A day.
  9. No, what we forget is 2008, when he had TB for all of about 7 minutes before losing him for the season to a knee injury, and yet his system with Matt Cassell still squeezed out an 11-5 season and only missed the playoffs due to some screwy tiebreaker. BB sucked in Cleveland. But unlike most NFL coaches who suck initially, he actually got a lot better at his job.
  10. Oh it's cool, I get it. It was the expressed certainty, not the sentiment, that I found a bit off-putting. Personally, I'd love it if the Pats* never sniff another S.B. as long as I live. I just wouldn't put good money on it. (As least as long as the hooded one is their coach.)
  11. Oh, didn't realize you already know the future. My bad. Three games into this season, with the parity in the league these days I think there's a dozen teams that have a good shot at the championship. Including last year's AFC champs. The only teams that definitely are not in the running are the ones firmly at the bottom of the league.
  12. The massive pile is often preceded by the gaseous cloud.
  13. "as for winning a championship with NE, those days are gone" Is there another way to interpret this? Please, do enlighten me.
  14. It was traced back to the opening of the Two Bills Drive PPP forum.
  15. Right. Because losing the Super Bowl by 4 points in the last 57 seconds, a whole 7 months ago, after a 13-3 regular season, clearly shows that they are now firmly at the bottom of the league.
  16. Amidst all the "Fitz sux" threads (and FTR, I find his inconsistency maddening, both game-to-game and play-to-play), I found it interesting that while Fitzpatrick is currently 12th all time in games played for Buffalo as QB, he is already 5th all-time in franchise passing attempts, completions, and yards, and 4th all-time in TDs. Barring injury, he's a near lock to move up one slot in all of those categories this season. He also holds the franchise record for longest completed pass, and longest TD pass (the same one, to T.O. a couple years ago.) Source: http://www.pro-footb...eer-passing.htm
  17. (Hmm, firefox seems to have eaten my reply. Try #2:) I'll definitely try to make it to Busby's for a game sometime this season, but right now it's hard for me even to make the games at Ixtapa. My 6yr old is in soccer Sunday a.m., and I'm helping coach the little rug-rats. I'm flying over to Pasadena right after practices, breaking a half-dozen traffic laws, just to catch the 2nd half of the Bills games. Santa Monica might as well be on the moon!
  18. I bet Welker would take a pay cut to stay with the Pats, rather than be traded to a non-contender if it came down to that. Dude's probably really hungry for a ring, and he knows his window of opportunity is closing. If he hits free agency after this season, that's a different story, since some contending team will likely pony up a reasonable offer for his services.
  19. It flew directly over my building at about 12:15, quite low. Totally rad. The F-16s waggled their wings.
  20. Well, I guess that's one way to make your brown eye blue. (Apologies to Crystal Gayle)
  21. Travis Henry was just spotted barrelling Northwards at high velocity, stiff-arming anyone who tries to get in his way.
  22. There's going to be a shortage of shortages? In short, I'm pretty sure that means I should go short soybeans. I'll do so shortly
  23. I think it's the part that starts about 0:50
