Yeah, it's not what most people think of when you say "Japanese food", but it's true. Compared to the South Asian varieties, Japanese curry is a bit more like a spicy stew with a thick roux; very hearty and delicious. curry rice, katsu curry (breaded pork cutlet), and curry pan (soft bread rolls with curry filling) are the 3 big ones in my family.

Fun fact: Curry rice is actually one of the most commonly eaten dishes in Japan. It's the #1 comfort food for kids, so my wife cooks it quite often and I end up eating a ton of it, and yes it's yummy, though even the spiciest variant is not nearly as hot as Indian or Thai curries, which I also enjoy on occasion, along with Curry Laksa from Malaysia. Damn, now I'm hungry.

We went back to Buffalo a few weeks ago, and one day drove up to Toronto with a friend and his family. He recently got a metal detector (I didn't know they still made those things) and has been having fun digging up weird crap with it. We and our kids spent a half hour after lunch messing around in a small park near Kensington Market, finding pennies and such, and then the detector started buzzing a pretty strong signal. So we dig around to see what it hit -- and found a set of brass knuckles. The best part was when we walked into a police station and announced "we'd like to turn in a weapon we found." 20 cops heads on swivels right there. Got a receipt and everything.

Disney is the majority owner of Hulu, so they will decide what content will go on that platform. I expect it will be the more adult-skewing stuff, including many of the newly acquired Fox properties. The current contract with Netflix expires this year. Disney will pull all of its content from Netflix. The announcement of the end of their agreement already happened last year.
