    A PR firm--much less, the premier PR firm in the area (Eric Mower & Assocs.)--that can't keep its own name out of the paper? It wouldn't have looked good had it kept him. It was borderline irresponsible of the News to name the employer. It guaranteed his termination.

    I've more that tried it. Well over 100 times. Mostly in my 20s, but even once or twice in my 30s. I don't like it (at this age), for myself. I think it should be legal, but that doesn't really matter for this discussion. I don't think the NFL should waste its time with it; that's what matters. It's silly to be busting players for grass. How's that?

    PTR, it goes even further: They can eliminate penalties for violations, or even eliminate it as a violation to begin with. kas23, It's not "going against the federal government" because it is not the NFL's job to enforce federal laws. The NFL doesn't have to do any drug testing; it chooses to.

    Jemele Hill irritates the hell out of me, and I have no idea who Kara Lawson is, but if we're nominating good sportswriters who are women, I'll chip in with our local Amy Moritz. And Lori sure knows her football. She's not here anymore, but she is on twitter at @LChase_RA.
