  1. Wow. I don't think I'd bother going to Gillette, but that New Jersey Devils / Jets weekend (don't even have to leave the Garden State!) is awfully tempting. Thanks for the heads-up!
  2. Wow. I just so seldom login to post on this board--mostly I just lurk and read--but wow. Sometimes there's just something so freaking stupid that I have to sign in. Look: If our newspaper can't get basic sh-- like this right, and this really is basic, how can we trust it on reporting other, perhaps more important, issues? (No, this does not mean the price of orange soda at Wegmans. I mean issues that intelligent grown-ups follow.) Can that fundamental concept really have passed by you? (And if so, you're still able to use the Internet? Are you a savant of some type?)
  3. How so? Ovechkin leads the league in goals and Crosby leads in points. I don't like either, but overrated? No.
  4. I won't read through three screens to see if anyone else said this, but no, the ONLY playoff game during the SB years that wasn't sold out was the Oilers game. As for this weekend, I offered to take some ex-pat relatives, for free (to them), in heated seats, and it was a universal "no." Not because of the team or weather; they just wanted to be with more family. Sometimes sports take a back seat, and sometimes sports should.
  5. All I'm sayin' is good for Schoebel and good (again) for Moorman.
  6. Well, you got "Alabama" right. Congrats.
  7. But the Bills were still here in 1988, right?
  8. I love it when someone questions someone else's intelligence with a post like this one. Beautiful stuff.
  9. After Wendy's spun off the chain last year, it has made more aggressive plans to penetrate the US beyond its base of Western NY/Ohio/Michigan. There are stores in ten states now, including Connecticut and Massachusetts, so it's probably just a matter of time before it hits the island. But with Dunkin's strength in New England/Mid-Atlantic (in Boston it's practically a religion), how well will Tim's do in those areas?
  10. Awesome--thank you
  11. Amen. I'm supposed to buy tickets so some jackass who has deserted this town can "follow" the team from afar and tell me it's "68 at the beach?" F off already. Like it would matter to you if they moved.
  12. The entire goal of the offense today was to run and run clock, and keep Manning on the sidelines. Has nothing to do with Losman, Thomas, even Pennington.
  13. Could Miller have won last night instead of Biron? You bet. Again, common sense is leaving this place quickly. Thomas was terrific. McGahee would have done at least as well.
  14. High-powered offense for an opponent. The obvious strategy is to run the ball and run the clock. How do you think the Giants won XXV? Because Hostetler was a stud? The tactics today had nothing to do with faith in Losman, and everything to do with common sense against an offense like Indy's. Pull it together and freaking think for a change.
  15. At least they lost quickly. It's only ten of four.
  16. No. Freaking. Way.
  17. If it helps, you should know that the guy who writes TMQ is from Kenmore and is a HUGE Bills fan.
  18. Same thing in the UCLA-Irish game. Charlie Weis didn't use his timeouts--oh wait, he DID use them. So THAT's how Notre Dame won, those sneaks. Clock management is a real problem for these Bills, when it should be so easy.
  19. Nice run, Willis, but where's the stiff-arm?
  20. I think part of Kevin Tillman's point is that while soldiers are making sacrifices, the sacrifices are in no way connected to stability in the future.
  21. You bastard. Now I do, too.
  22. Seriously. Wish they were in my pool.
  23. If you really want precision, you can't beat the Wondertwins. Never is a moment or action wasted with those two. So the Bills need to use two quarterbacks, every play and every down. And don't bring Gleek into this. Gleek sucks.
