  1. There are a ton of WRs that get that call every week; it was a catch, no question. Tell me that Welker or Wayne would have had that one called back. No. Glad to not have to B word about it affecting the outcome.
  2. Someone starts this thread at least once a month. Stop it.
  3. The Oklahoma City area gets a lot of Vikings games, too (Peterson), but I don't think that team is moving. It's definitely the USC alum connection.
  4. Massacre? It was 6-3. If that's a massacre, I'd hate to see what a regular win looks like. (I've seen massacres. There was this AFC championship game against the Raiders once, and there was this Super Bowl against the Cowboys once....)
  5. Another one blaming the fans, or at least suggesting that the fans are to blame. The first one didn't live in Buffalo. Do you? Maybe; if you do, please disregard at least some of what I wrote below. Regardless, it's not our fault, and those of us who are here keep the team alive for those of you who aren't. Enjoy the nicer weather you moved to; enjoy the economy that you defected to rather than staying and trying to rebuild one here. But don't you dare blame those of us who stayed, or who moved back home, for loving our city and our teams. We're trying harder than you are.
  6. 1. I believe that you had, or heard, the conversation that you relate. 2. There is no such thing as a "prominent ... DWI attorney." 3. The Brinkworths are not prominent developers and have not been for a long time, but certainly they are connected. 4. City of Industry, California has had the stadium plan for quite a while now. The article you posted mentions six teams that the city plans to talk to. (No word from the teams as to whether they want to talk to the city.) 5. Wilson has said that he will not sell the team, and he's said that directly. I know, businesspeople are not always to be believed, but this isn't quadruple hearsay. Hey, I hope this gets investigated, too, and if it's true, I hope we learn about it sooner rather than later. But I suspect that the DWI attorney probably was not correctly informed.
  7. Best of the comments on that page: "You know what I find comical?? Jauron had a rating of 90+ last year after the 4-0 start Buffalo got off to. Same guy, coaching the same way.. That's why the ESPN SportsNation ratings mean nothing."
  8. You're trolling now. Started out good-natured, but now, you're being a Jauron.
  9. At least show it. And you're still wrong!
  10. No. There's NHL, college ball, baseball, NFL, soccer, cricket, bocce, golf, cooking, Scrabble, poker, WNBA, and NBA, all on TV. And probably in that order, more interesting than UFL.
  11. There's actually video on this .
  12. Yeah, he's content just stealing paychecks.
  13. Since before the season began, actually, and yeah, it's funny. But they've ruined a good song forever, for me!
  14. I'm sorry--I knew about the pink wristbands, etc., but is he wearing NAILPOLISH? Check out his right thumb and forefinger.
  15. It certainly is not the fault of the fans. Let me guess--"parts unknown" is not in WNY, right?
  16. You're right. Well, except for the 60, but you're right.
  17. Did I blame him for the loss? Just pointing out that he wasn't exactly missed in weeks 1-3. Frankly, if the Bills can get something for him, they should.
  18. He truly is awesome.
  19. Not true. This is on the coaches.
  20. Unfortunately, Pats/Ravens is a CBS game. We're stuck with a Fox game here. Still, I'd rather see Seattle at Indy or something, anything, else. I'm about to switch this over to an infomercial.
  21. For the third straight week, we in Buffalo are screwed because the "wrong" network has the doubleheader. No CBS game, just Fox. So, what did Fox give us? Giants at KC. I suppose it's the NFL, and the game could be tight, but I'm anticipating a fugly game that I'm not going to invest time in watching. Background noise only.
  22. Fair point--but there's a problem with it (below). I see two potential "business upsides," both of which are minimal, but for the sake of discussion, here goes: 1. Possibility of playoff revenue with a different coach. Absolutely none with current coach. 2. Increased confidence in team with new coach who has some experience in 2009 might lead to more ticket purchases in 2010. Here's the problem with looking at it strictly from a business point of view: The head coach is going to be responsible for what, a difference in 2000 or 3000 season tickets? Maybe 10,000? In a TV-revenue league, that's virtually no effect on the team's bottom line, no matter who coaches the team. In other words, there isn't much of a financial incentive for on-the-field success in the NFL. If management isn't looking at it from a football point of view, there's no hope.
