  1. The radio announcer just noted that Cincinnati know who they're getting next week (the Jets) and are not playing with a full effort.
  2. Gotta consider the source. Both Collinsworth and NBC want viewers tonight.
  3. You think he's going to fly to Toronto? Nah, he'll take a limo.
  4. Ok, here's three, and here's your "why," but I'm not going to reargue if you argue it. I just don't want to be bothered with it. (And I don't think RW is that great, either): 1. Davis. Continually alienates fans, continually drafts thugs, and his first-round selection of a freaking kicker from what, ten years ago or something, finally paid off today with a 61-yarder in a blowout loss. If you remember his stupid "commitment to excellence" banners and his bragging about the best record in the four "major" sports from the early 90s, you're really laughing now. 2. Jerrah. Come on. Ego over talent, every time. He thinks Tony Romo is a franchise QB and Wade Phillips is a SB-caliber coach. 3. Snyder. Didn't he go through 6 coaches in 5 years at one point? The best QB under his watch has been Jason Campbell, right? He, and he alone, runs that team in Washington, and he has run it into the ground. Davis has moved his team twice. Jones had success with a team largely built before he bought it. Snyder is a joke. Wilson is better than those three, but maybe not by much.
  5. Well, the Bills shouldn't cut him; they can keep him if there's not a solid deal around. And I'll bet there's a patsy out there that will pay up a 2d or 3d for Lynch. (Probably a 3d.) What did we see Chicago do this past offseason? As for those who think he's hampered by the line, well, Jackson runs behind the same line. Tries harder. Runs better. Has a running style that fits what this team can give him. Doesn't embarrass the team with his off-season sh*t. Lynch is hardly a zero, but in a two-back system like almost every team uses today, he's unnecessary for this team and has trade value--and this team has needs to fill. Move him out.
  6. Agreed. Bait. They don't need someone with Lynch's pedigree to be a no. 2 back. Sell the pedigree; someone will buy. Get a 2d round or 3d round pick out of it and move on.
  7. My tenants actually have one of these.
  8. Seriously. With most teams, it's called "starting a new quarterback." With this team, it's called "jumping in a new quarterback."
  9. He's good on occasion, not great, ever; let him go. Good luck, Mr. Schobel.
  10. Nah, I'm really glad I opened this thread with a nondescript title and a bunch of crap that I've been reading all autumn.
  11. Some good coach somewhere might, MIGHT, turn Trent Edwards back into the QB he could have been had be not been coached into cowardice. The man had no line, and a HC who preferred 1-yard outlet passes on 3d and 13. Nothing Trent can do about that, and I really do think it killed his development. But I don't think that somewhere is Buffalo, and I don't think that some good coach is here (or will be). Edwards might be a decent QB someday; he may even star. But he won't do it here. Good luck to him.
  12. All this "rooting for a draft position" stuff has some merit to it, but let's not forget that free agents are part of the equation, and they want to go to teams that have a chance of winning. For every game the Bills lose, yeah, they get a better shot at some unproven college kid, but they also damage their chances of landing a good, proven FA.
  13. No it isn't. Having a few drinks and "hooking up a nice grill scene" is, though. I can't stand people who are wasted at games, no matter what they look like or what they're listening to. There are too many fans for whom the game is ancillary to the alcohol.
  14. I have no idea whether he was a good teammate. Perhaps he wasn't--in fact, given what you wrote, he probably wasn't. But given his public actions, and even the way I personally had seen him act in public (same neighborhood), he seems like a good person.
  15. That, and he's a good person. That's why we like him.
  16. I love it when people on a discussion board pretend that there should be no discussion. (I don't even care about Tebow; this is just stupid.) And crayonz, nicely done. Or do I mean nicely did? Or did I meant nicely do?
  17. I just ran the sim with no changes other than moving QB to P1 and OT to P2. Colt McCoy in the first round. Ick.
  18. I wouldn't make any changes except perhaps not have a P1 player at all.
  19. Same here. Seems like an all-around good guy with a surfeit of enthusiasm.
  20. It doesn't hurt Ralph much at all for a "bunch" of season ticket holders to not renew.
  21. They absolutely do! This team is not a QB away from a Super Bowl. I don't know much about LeFevour, but no matter whom the Bills draft (if they draft a QB), he will need at least 2-3 years just for the team to be good.
  22. Saw that yesterday. F that dude. He's immune to consequences (he's a local sports reporter), but I won't believe a thing he writes from here on out.
  23. I really like Schopp and the Bulldog during the week. I really can't stand their postgame bitching about a win. This is ridiculous. Why run in for that last touchdown? To show the league that you're back. To give the fans, who had enough faith to go to the game, something to cheer about. They're worried about a Ted Ginn runback? A seventeen point runback? Give me a break.
  24. I'll bet that you're another of these out-of-towners who doesn't care if the team leaves town, aren't you? Or just a troll. If you're a fan of the team, why would you criticize people who are going to the games? What a joke, indeed.
  25. Correct. And as for the "Toronto's team" arguments, they ring hollow: The Jays can't sell out, even with $2CD tix, and the Raptors are hopeful to be on par with Toronto's MLS team someday.
