Scott, I wish I had the time and commitment to volunteer; I don't (look at the number of posts in the years I've been a reader here). I really want to convey my respect to those who did volunteer, though; this board needs some tough love. And thanks to Scott for keeping it together here. It's a nice forum for Bills fans.

No, but I'd trade a 5th or maybe a 4th rounder for Kolb (who has never proven that he's ready to be a starter, despite the love from the press, BTW).

When I go, the game is only part of the experience. Tailgating with friends is the other part of the experience--and in fact, the more enjoyable part, since the pace of a live NFL game is really boring to me (but I've admitted that I'm a casual NFL fan). That said, getting smashed needn't be the goal of tailgating.

I'm a big defender of Schopp and Bulldog on here. Bulldog's post-game was, well, stupid. You've got fans who are hungry for that no. 1 pick, of course, but none of us want to be fans of the national joke that is a 0-16 team. That stopped today. Instead of celebrating it, or at least joining in the collective relief, Bulldog went on a completely tangential rampage. Hey, bud, how about discussing the good plays? The pass breakups (the secondary was other-worldly at times today), the running game (not bad, for having half of a healthy starter), or even the D that held, broke, and then held again when it mattered? No, it was all about how the Bills are going to lose their dream QB. Who may not come out of college, and even if he does, and even if the BIlls pick second, well, the Bills still may get him. (The Panthers took 2 Qs last year: Clausen and Pike. What makes us think they're taking another one, even if they finish below Buffalo?) How did today's game meaningfully affect the future? Anyway, and as I have said, I really normally enjoy S&B (they usually ease my post-work commute), but that was BS today.

He doesn't hate them, either; he just doesn't see himself as a fan. Two years ago, during the 5-1 start, he wasn't nearly as critical of the team as he is now, for example. If this team were playoff-bound, he would be praising them. He's pretty critical of the Sabres right now, too. He sees himself as a journalist and not a fan. Also, the sports that he is a fan of, aren't team sports (he's a big tennis and golf guy). As above, Bulldog, on the other hand, is a Bills and Sabres fan, which is why he is the more frustrated (or enthusiastic, when one of the teams is doing well) of the two. The "I'm so smart and you're boring me" stuff irritates me, too, but I still like most of the show. Sully (on air) annoys me more than Schopp does, actually.

If Luck isn't available, Quinn merits consideration. If Luck AND Mallett are both unavailable, Quinn should be the pick. (I used to say Carimi, but now the O-Line isn't as bad as the D-Line is. Somehow, that makeshift O-Line has jelled.)

That series isn't bad. That said, ESPN is about ESPN, and not about sports.

ESPN needs to cut ESPN. It hasn't been about sports in a long time; it's been about promoting more ESPN. Damn, anyone remember what ESPN was like in, say, 1990? It was freaking awesome.

Just stick with the "role model" aspect of it; why do we not--as an outraged society, not the government--hold these role models to the same standards? (And any 14 year old will be able to name a few authors, although I don't know if JK Rowling uses drugs. She had to come up with Quidditch somehow, though.)

Next question: say someone is a musician or an author. Is marijuana a PED? Is a musician or an author less of a "role model" than an athlete? And if so, why?
