  1. Then he's changed his tune after a couple of years--and all summer--of using them as fodder for ridicule.
  2. Jeremy White retweeted this from Stevie: Ha... RT @StevieJohnson13 @Bulldogwgr BullDog i apologize for phone mishaps bro. MY phone was on track to drop more calls than i did vs Pitt
  3. A "heavy dose" of the wildcat is not a good game plan against ANY pro team.
  4. And yet the Raider fans are saying on their board that the refs got the result the NFL wanted on the last play of the game. It was a game where the refs really didn't do much wrong, IMO.
  5. Thanks; it was a point of discussion in the Bills IRC chat; we were all over what Lindell was doing with the kickoffs. BTW, if you're not at the game, I highly recommend the IRC chat, even if you can see the game on TV. It's fun to share with other Bills fans, and Fezmid does a decent play-by-play. irc.webmaster.com and the chatroom is #gobuffalo . Every week.
  6. Plenty of sources confirmed it was just cramps? And they got this from someone other than Gailey, friend? And of course, go Bills!
  7. DId you watch his kickoffs? He was upset at the game-opening touchback. He clearly did NOT want a touchback. Every other kickoff after that--until the last one--was high and into the right corner. I don't believe the Raiders crossed the 15 on a return except ONCE (they got to the 18). That's all planned and carefully kicked. (I must correct myself; after the FJ 1-yd run, kicking off from the 50, there was a touchback. No easy way out of that one, though.) He had a great game, and yes, I do know he had one blocked. Lindell was one of the best defensive players out there today. And I'm not his biggest fan. But today? Today he was pretty freaking good.
  8. But it is. Nice one!
  9. Everyone who will be there next week: Please make it so.
  10. I'm sure the Raider fans have non-calls to B word about, too. As it was, the refs called a pretty good game.
  11. Moore had two absolutely amazing catches, one of which was the TD. I don't think you're wrong. The kid heard the call and had a breakout game. Good for him. Better for us that it didn't matter in the end. I am putting Moore on my FF team as soon as waivers open on Tuesday, BTW; that wasn't the Bills' secondary--that was a great rookie performance.
  12. Because what a GOOD coach says during a presser isn't always accurate when it comes to injuries. I'm guessing you don't follow the Sabres (which is ok), where a "minor upper body injury" could be a broken shoulder.
  13. They didn't shut it off in Buffalo. They went to the Chargers game immediately after the close of play and did not show the review upholding the interception. We saw the whole game on CBS in Buffalo.
  14. Really? If the situation were reversed, and I didn't get to see kickoff of the Bills-Raiders game here in Buffalo because the Cheats and Chargers were in a tight fourth quarter, I'd be pretty pissed off.
  15. Best plan I've seen so far. The "injure him" stuff results in an injured Fitz, too.
  16. Wow, there are some slow people on this board. Must take 'em a whole DAY to watch 60 Minutes.
  17. Except they'll do the same thing on our next drive, and you can take that to the bank. And Mallett will beat Thigpen.
  18. The entire broadcast was cut off. Even in Buffalo, CBS went to the San Diego game. It was the right call. (Can't imagine what the parking lots would have looked like if people started finding out that the call was overturned as they got to the lots!)
  19. They should, because Ruvell Martin needs to go.
  20. The guy is universally heralded by the media. All. The. Time. And for no reason other than he plays for Dallas. And sure, he played an ok game against the Jets. He plays a lot of ok games--he doesn't play a lot of awesome ones. Among the Qs who played for teams at or near 6-10 last year, which one do you hear about the most--as a "game-changer," a "star," a "franchise Q"? Do you hear about the Q for Miami? Washington, Cleveland, Tennessee, Detroit, or Minnesota (ok, he left)? San Fran or even Oakland (8-8)? Nope. You hear about Romo as if he were a top-five Q in the NFL. He's not. Not even close. If you put Fitz in Dallas, he does slightly better than Romo. If you put Romo in Buffalo, he does about as well as Fitz. Dude is overrated, bigtime.
  21. Uh...yes. If Romo were the QB in Seattle or Jacksonville, we wouldn't hear a thing about him. He's successful (reputation-wise) because he plays in Dallas and not vice-versa. F, Clint Stoerner was a household name for a few weeks just because of the cowgirls. EDIT: Oh, and let's not forget Quincy Carter, either.
  22. There was, is not now, and never will be, an excuse for that game. Pittsburgh was completely rolling over and the should-have-been-playoff-hungry Bills lost to a bunch of guys chasing roster spots on other teams for the next season. You are absolutely right on.
  23. For those who are angry, see tonyhomo.com . It's a parody blog "by" Drew.
  24. I don't think you got his point, either. He's not talking about the players being jerks; he's talking about the fear of non-whites that is, unfortunately, pervasive throughout WNY. See above. (You also could just read the comments in any online Buffalo News article any time a non-white person is arrested for a crime in the Buffalo area.)
