  1. Seen a pic of Brady lately? Looks like Fitz, but without the pecs.
  2. Oh, this could be its own contest. Across sports. It's not just math and tech. "Sticktoitiveness" instead of "perseverance," you know?
  3. Scott, when the media stops saying the players are "watching film," we'll catch right up. They know damned well better than we do that it's not tape, and it's not film, but that's the term they use.
  4. http://sportshl.com/football/Jackson_80_yard_TD_run/1110665 Google still works...
  5. Idunno about that. Gilmore went to Hutch's.
  6. The only possible negative consequence, if the Bills sign him, is a QB controversy. I like this a lot. Strong move. Even if he's not signed, still, strong move.
  7. ABOVE Sanchez. I'm loving the QB controversy that will brew in New Jersey.

  9. This is almost comical: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-players-rate-tim-tebow-above-mark-sanchez-042912
  10. With the new rules, every kicker is an instant touchback if he wants to be. I like Nix. I liked the draft this year. I don't find the need to defend every pick, nor do I find the need to try to convince others that I'm the smartest man in the room all of the time. Check yourself. You've been acting like an ass all day.
  11. With Moore and Kinne gone, I'm really thinking that the backup Q will be found during the offseason in free agency, and not through the UDFA process. And there's no UDFA that I really think is so sharp that I want him with the Bills. But an upgrade over Thigpen is important.
  12. If the kid beats out Lindell and wins a spot, fine. (I have grave doubts.) Otherwise, this was a waste. They could have taken Kinne to back up Fitz, or freaking someone who has a chance of making the roster. This looks like a personal favor or something. I don't expect too much out of compensatory picks in round 7, but I do hope for more than this. Then again, it was a very, very solid draft.
  13. I was pretty concerned when that happened, too. Probably because of The Iraq and such as.
  14. 3... 2... 1...
  15. Good pick. And if he doesn't work out in the NFL, he can run for Parliament.
  16. I love this city. I've lived in two other American cities for a total of ten years (one large, one small), and in one other country (but that was a village in Spain, not a city). I think you're nuts, and I think, beyond that, that you don't understand that we live here by choice and not by predetermination. Anyone can move anywhere in these fifty beautiful states, but the people who live here, by and large, do so because we love it. I cannot imagine living elsewhere again, and being happy. I cannot imagine being happy in NYC, or Boston, or Milwaukee, or Raleigh, or Reno, Spokane, or Honolulu. I cannot imagine being happy in Madrid, Tokyo, Montreal, or Paris. I !@#$ing love it here, and even as the winters come (and damn, do I hate winter), I always will. Buffalo kicks ass. So !@#$ off.
  17. I asked Gilmore (who played against him in the SEC) point-blank: What do you think about the Glenn pick? Did USC hate playing against him? His answer: Yeah, we hated playing against him. Good enough for me.
  18. After meeting Gilmore tonight, and actually talking with him a bit, I'll retract everything else here. He's a great guy, and I think he's just now starting to appreciate what it means (to us) to be a BIll.
  19. Since I want the Bills to spend a late-round pick on a QB anyway, I won't mind if McCoy is that QB. But really, he'll probably be available for nothing after he's cut. EDIT: I don't see a trade, actually; he's too expensive ($5M/yr) to be a backup. Cleveland is going to have to cut him.
