I'm at work. How far are we from the next pick?
It's really starting to look like about twelve months, give or take.

Fire Fraizer and bring in Reich
Yeah, because Reich is going to fix a defense. Have another Genny.

Based on the Bengals scoring 17 on O today?
Maybe based on the Bills D allowing 24 today. With Thompson QBing the fish. The Bills need to be better.

That was definitely on my mind last night soon afterward. The minimal amount of padding — especially among WRs and DBs — compared to even 10 years ago is kinda insane.
But isn't that its own safety issue? Like the reason we don't see Andre Reed-sized pads anymore is because the pads themselves could be used as a weapon?

I heard a medical professional say this was like the odds of being struck by lightning.........and yet, when there is lightning sports teams are pulled off the field in sports at all levels...........
Well, the odds of being struck by lightning increase significantly when there, you know, IS LIGHTNING.

There's no need for a rule change. It's a one in a hundred million shot. Unfortunately, that still is a non-zero chance. It's happened in hockey a couple of times--one guy (Chris Pronger) even went on to have a HoF career.
Hopefully, Hamlin will live a long and full life, maybe even with football as a part of it. But there's no need to change the rules for what is essentially a freak occurrence.
1 hour ago, Big Turk said:There is no rule change that can prevent what happened...it was just a freak occurrence...a hit that occurred in the exact location needed at the right time with enough force to cause that issue...I don't see anything they can do short of potentially requiring some protection for that area in the jersey/padding, etc...
I did read somewhere that some softball pitchers choose to wear extra protection over the heart to prevent this type of thing; I guess that is one possible rule change.

Some serious undervaluing of AJ going on in here, IMO. No, he's not Bruce Smith, but his play above replacement level is greater than Bass's play above replacement level. (And I like Bass, don't get me wrong.)

I know it’s insensitive, but if Tua did take the team down the field on the last drive and win the game against GB, would he still be in concussion protocol right now? Sorry, based on what we’ve seen with Miami, gotta ask the question.
12 minutes ago, Playoffs? said:Definitely agree, and Tua’s health is #1.. but interesting that he didn’t self-report any symptoms after the Bills game that the Dolphins won and he made a big play to help that win. That was way worse than what happened against the Packers.
It's not insensitive. His health is not his first priority and it certainly isn't the team's. The league needs to fine Miami over this.

I understand what it's doing. It's just in no way funny. I'll try again later once Ive had a few Blues and a joint or two.
100%. There was no occasion to laugh during the entire sketch. I felt bad for the actors, frankly.

What a horribly bad sketch.

I would love an alternative to Admiral's Cup in Baltimore. Nothing against the place itself, but I went three times last year (Tennessee, Jacksonville, and the New England loss) so I'm trying to stay away.

She also accuses him of possibly slipping a mickey in her drink. Do they test for that during a rape kit investigation?
This varies from place to place and maybe even from hospital to hospital. ECMC does not do so routinely; the patient has to ask for it.

Besides the Rape Kit the hospital must have run a tox screen for the date rape drug.
Not necessarily. ECMC, for example, does NOT run tox screens unless requested by the victim. It is irresponsible, but it is ECMC's practice.

What a shock to the conscience. I don't want him on this team. If something happens to Allen, I want Barkley in.
And you people who vomited at my post last week, well, now you know why. Keenum is awful.

Thanks for posting this good nugget.
If Araiza can punt farther but with the same hang time as (or less than) Haack, wouldn't that give the returner a running head start against the defenders? Just wondering.
A punter certainly can outkick his coverage. That's why the hang time stat was discovered/invented (in large, as a response to Reggie Roby with the fins, who could seemingly kick a ball into the clouds) to begin with. It's a delicate balance. Directional punting, which fell out of favor for about 25 years but seems to be regaining a foothold, can combat that.

If you've flown since 2001, you know that it's about 75% that the airline employee started it. They all think they're junior gendarmes now.

So, I’m not even sure what I’m posting about here. But given this initial shake up, I’m keeping my eyes out for anything that makes sense. Whether it be taking over someone’s season tickets or trying to get a group together or buying a season ticket package with a group of other people and divvying them up, maybe even TBD fronting the PSL costs, but then get a group to buy individual games…. I’m just throwing things out there…
Does anyone see a situation where they would like to get together with something with all options currently on the table for discussion?
I completely understand if this is an interesting to anyone given that we all have different circumstances. I’m just seeing what sticks.
I can't do it but I was in Schopp's Sabres group for a few years and know the mechanics of it, if you need help. If so, message me on SS. --11.
Name a random Bills player and one thing you remember about them
