  1. You need to look at this year as a bonus. If we don't win 11 or 12 games in 1 of the next 3 years then you can start to worry. The driving force behind our team, Lynch, Edwards, Evans, Whitner & Poz will be here for the next few years at least.
  2. I felt we moved the ball well enough to win this game without the turnovers. It's always nice to see better rushing numbers but to play the "if we ran the ball more we wouldn't have turnovers" game is tough when Trent is having as much success as he is. Live and learn.
  3. I agree completely. We as fans need to keep everything in perspective(IE the sky is not falling). I personally don't feel like we were "outplayed" or totally dominated. We hung around against a tough division opponent in their stadium. A couple rookie mistakes cost us the game, mistakes that next year Trent hopefully won't make and we win this game.
  4. The O-Line and Edwards lost us this game. I know I'm gonna get thrashed for calling out the golden child, but both of his fumbles are on him. Without 4 turnovers the dolphins don't score more than 16 points, an acceptable performance from our defense. It "looked" bad seeing Ginn rack up yards on McGee but it never really hurt us, but if we can't score more than 16 points we're not winning many games anyways.

  6. My only real playcalling issue I had was the Fred Jackson hand-offs at the goal-line in the first half....USE LYNCH. The QB sneak was fine, we had the first in all likelyhood Trent just made a total BONEHEAD play.
  7. We had FOUR turnovers, that is why we lost. Period, end of discussion.
  8. I agree, he didn't cost us the game in any way but he does not belong on an NFL starting roster.
  9. My suggestion would be Kelly.
  10. I've been to quite a few of these chats and Tim's is by far the best. He has a great bead on our division and the NFL in general and he responds to a lot off off-beat questions and comments. Definitely entertaining as well as informative.
  11. Montana is probably the closest. It's scary for Trent to be playing as good as he is at this stage in his career. If you think about the normal progression of a QB; most learn their limits by making mistakes. Trent seems to be learning his limits by slowly pushing them. Admittedly, I am too young to have seen the earliest years of Montana/Kelly/Marino/Elway so they may have exhibited the same traits, however, I have yet to see anything quite like it in my 12 or so years of passionate football watching.
  12. You might be right, it probably wasn't an "audible" by definition. Just judging by how the O-line and backfield played out, it was most likely a QB option, where once Edwards and Evans both recognize the coverage, no call was needed. Regardless, Trent is being given the chances to make decisions before the snap and with his mental ability, the sky is the limit.
  13. Some plays have the built in option for TE to audible into different plays. The TD to Evans this week was a run to Marshawn that TE changed at the line because Evans was single covered. While he certainly doesn't have open reign to make changes at the line(at least not yet, but if any kid has the brain for it, it appears Trent might), it seems the offense has a lot of built in wrinkles that give him the ability to use his head.
  14. OMG McKelvin and Hardy can barely play and have shown no improvements wow a total bust this FO can't draft this is so sad maybe we can trade them omg. STUPID THREAD.
  15. Whitner was used all over the field vs San Diego in an attempt to help out the corners. DJ even said before and after the game they would be using Scott to matchup with Gates, not only because of the physical match-up, but to allow Whitner to help our depleted CB core. If anything this move contradicts your argument entirely. Whitner's cover ability allows him to act like a nickel or ballhawk when needed. Theres your answer, stop trumpeting the same stupid statement over and over.
  16. It all depends how much guaranteed money he has on his contract. Cleveland is a crap organization and I'd be pissed to be playing there too. If the Bills can pick him up with limited risk involved, go for it. TE is probably our most glaring weakness right now, though one could make a case for C/OG.
  17. Creating a rhythm like that allows for 40 yard PA bombs on 1st and 2nd down once or twice a game.
  18. Every thread I read "SupidNation" is typing up long-winded threads that do nothing but show how little he knows about football. You are a VERY uneducated fan and I suggest you watch football for a few more years before you post anything else.
  19. I can only laugh because Cassel isn't even close enough to being good that a shot of confidence is going to significantly help his play. Maybe by the end of the year he can develop into a solid #2 QB but right now he is AWFUL, even when he does good (like on monday nite), he looks bad.
  20. Good point, I think they're both idiots for doing so.
  21. She spent 3 years playing Linesmasher in the Chinese PowerPro-Football League for the Bangkok Blitz.
