  1. Has anyone watched Fauda on Netflix? It's been recommended to me as "must watch", but I'm looking for a second opinion. I don't have Netflix, so I would have to figure something out if it is worth it....
  2. I disagree that texting is worse than impaired driving, but I do agree that both are extremely bad and have the ability to wreck lives.
  3. Florida. Home of....her. Gawd, I hate this state.
  4. I suggest finding someone to talk about your mommy issues with.
  5. Did it stare at you too? I think it had rabies or something.
  6. I tried watching that video, but the camel toe kept staring me right in the eye. That thing didn't blink. I had to look away.
  7. I'm not familiar with what you mean...?
  8. As a proper lady, she did prepare a wad of 2ply restaurant napkins to wipe beforehand. The forethought and preparation were impressive in their own right. I wonder what her complaint was?
  9. The wind up! The pitch! Steeeeee-rike three! Also, would ya?
  10. I've not gone through what you are going through, but we all go through seasons of life that are valleys. Some valleys can be much deeper, and longer than others. As long as you keep walking, you are guaranteed to find yourself on a mountaintop somewhere, though. The key is to keep walking. I read a book titled "No Hero". It was written by a Navy SEAL, and one particular excerpt always stood out to me. He is telling a story about climbing this massive rock face. In the middle of the climb, the instructor notices he's starting to panic. Below is the excerpt: Hey, man,” the trainer said said in a lazy, raspy voice. “Just stay in your three-foot world.” I was a couple of hundred feet up the rock face and I could barely think, let alone decipher his cryptic advice. “What the hell are you talking about, bro?” “Only focus on your three-foot world,” he said.” Focus on what you can affect. You keep looking around, and none of that can help you right now, can it?” I shook my head no.“You’re calculating how far you’re going to fall,” the instructor said. “You’re looking down at Jeff, but he’s not going to come up and help. You’re looking out at the Strip. What are you going to do, gamble your way to the top? Don’t look at me. I’m not going to help you either. This is up to you. You’re climbing this rock. Stay in your three-foot world.” Step, by step. Focus on what you can control. Keep pushing. Know that you aren't alone.
  11. Why do you care which religion I choose to follow/ not follow? Why do I, or anyone else, have to justify myself/themselves to you? You are the one that, for some reason , feels the need to denigrate those who believe in something bigger than themselves in a thread that had absolutely nothing to do with that. Why? That's a rhetorical "why", btw. I already know the answer.
  12. Impressive. All that reading about why faith is bogus, yet you apparently forgot to read the actual book about what makes a Christian. And yes, the whole point of your post was to dump on faith. The OP had nothing to do with whether or not you felt faith/belief/religion was a validly held position. Keep on keepin' on that "enlightened" road you are walking.
  13. Not sure why you decided to use this thread to dump on Christianity, but Mr. Harris (and you, by proxy) obviously has no idea what Christianity is about. Might as well stand on the rooftops and shout your ignorance. Would have a similar effect.
  14. I was a young otherwise healthy guy, and my first PE revealed a lifelong need for blood thinners. That's the perspective I am coming from. I was told I needed to change everything, including careers. I understand there are other things that can cause the issue, and will defer to your knowledge on the topic if you are an MD!
  15. Blood clots in your lungs aren't anything that you can just get over. It is usually has an underlying lifelong issue, and requires blood thinners. Playing pro football while on blood thinners isn't gonna be okayed by a doctor.
  16. Orlando? It wouldn't shock me if our idiotic mayor tried for this, but the only place they could do it is one of the Disney venues. That would be a mess in so many ways. Orlando is a town that wants to be a grown up city, but doesn't even have the infrastructure necessary for its current size. Soaring violent crime rates being exhibit A. Politicians like to hide that dirty little secret about Mickey-land. Interstate 4 being perpetually under construction and no mass transit system in place to speak of being exhibits B and C. Getting too big for its breeches.
  17. Dark chocolate is the worst for a dog. Milk chocolate contains a relative small amount of actual chocolate that your dog should be ok, unless you have one of those yappy cat dog things. In that case, maybe it should just die anyway? Kidding.....i think.
  18. It was for a half of football. 18 for 26 for 316 yards with 4tds and 0 Ints sounds like a game of Trent?!
  19. He also went 9 of 13 for 158 yards, with 2 TDs and 0 Ints in the Senior Bowl. Certainly not the be all, end all, but he was playing with (and against) a higher level of talent.
  20. Is there a thread about the Bills new QB that you don't pop a squat and drop a big, brown log on? I'm seriously asking. I've never once heard him say what you quoted, nor anything remotely similar to it.
  21. No? To get a player of Scott's longevity and production in the 5th round would be a good thing, IMO.
