  1. Applying the “common sense” approach to rules, when the rule is spelled out in black and white, is a terribly slippery slope. That’s why dingbat John Parry’s asinine comments during the telecast bugged me so much. As more has come out about the wording from the rule book, I’ve gotten downright pissed off!
  2. Penalty (illegal forward pass in the end zone) which results in a safety, with a free kick to the Bills. Quoted from the rule book for emphasis (NFL Rule 7.2.1.d.1): 1. An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended: d. when a runner declares himself down by: falling to the ground, or kneeling, AND clearly making no immediate effort to advance *capitalization added for emphasis
  3. The rule wording is clear. You must put your knee on the ground or lay down AND show no further intent of advancing the ball to give yourself up. Throwing the ball to the ref doesn’t satisfy the rule requirements. Anyone remember when Tre has the pick at the end of the cincy game? He gave himself up, and one of the determining factors in that was that we went to the ground. You can’t just stand there and say “safe”. The rule is the rule. The mysterious “backup refs” frantically running onto the field pissed me off then, and piss me off even more now. John Parry with his “cooler heads prevailing” and “common sense” statements are crazy. Almost as irritating as the 5 quarters of JJ Watt ballwashing we had to endure.
  4. How do you know what “some fans” wanted him to be? He’s a slot possession receiver. I don’t think any reasonable fan expected much more from him than what he gave this year.
  5. Watch it again, Beavis. His knee hit, it bounced in the air, he was touched while he was in the air, and then landed past the first down marker. First down. Beasley was not the problem yesterday, or during the season. He had a solid year.
  6. He struggled yesterday?? I thought he looked pretty sharp all game. He made a couple bone headed decisions - and I’ll chalk those up to being a young guy trying to win the game by himself when it became apparent the coaching wasn’t going to do him any favors in the 4th quarter - but by no means would I say that he struggled. That’s ridiculous.
  7. Luck and God cannot coexist as entities to be blamed for the loss. It’s one or the other. Pick your side...pick it carefully....
  8. That Gore 2nd down run before the half was the killer.
  9. I’ve waited a few hours to let my emotions settle. One question still burns: why the fudge did we abandon the run?
  10. What’s stupid is revealing your strategy before the game...unless there is a reason to...
  11. One day, this world of hot takes will pass away. And, a new, better world will be birthed. So sayeth the Lord!
  12. No doubt. I understand that. I wish the educated nfl fan consumer would see through the BS so it would push that kind of crap out of the media market. When the consumer sees it as the trash that it is, the demand for the trash drops, and the demand for legit NFL analysis and discussion increases. It’s too much to ask, but I’ll still live in my dream world!
  13. This situation should be the ultimate example of why no one should listen to the moronic media when it comes to off season prognostications. Would be nice if those media morons would publicly eat their words when they were so off base and force fed us all that narrative. They are idiots who know nothing and are only interested in selling the “team du jour”.
  14. Doesn’t the new decade technically start in 2021?
  15. Oh gawd...does that mean we get Booger and Tessitore?
  16. Yeah but you still have to pay the state income taxes in NY for all wages earned in the state of NY
  17. Perfect advice! Giving a lecture AND a ticket was a recipe for a complaint.
  18. My protocols for ticket giving: If you hit one of my pet peeve violations, like doing stupid stuff and disrespecting your fellow motorists (I.e. passing on the shoulder, honking like an a-hole for no good reason, totally blowing a light, or being drunk) you were guaranteed a ticket. if I pulled you for speeding the following rules applied: if you were a hot chick and showed me some skin, you were getting a ticket. I’m not going to reinforce your thinking that you can show the girls and all is well. I’ll certainly look, but then I’m coming back with a ticket. If you are a girl and you cry, ticket. I ain’t got no time for crocodile tears. If you are a dude, and you cry - warning. If I pulled you for some chicken ***** violation looking for drunks, and you act like a butt head, you might have talked yourself into a ticket. All in all, act like a grown up, be respectful, and you will prob get let off with a warning. If you’re a guy, cry.
  19. Glad to have Marcel as the Bills reporter. Such a change from Rodak. Great article!
  20. Oh, I was under the impression that it was the “Archuleta” celebration. Oops. “wiping the stank off”
  21. Wow. Waste a timeout in the 4th down by 7 on the minute chance you draw them Offside? If that was the Bills, I’d be furious.Take the 5 damn yards.
  22. “Too lazy to find it out myself” and then you call out someone else that pokes fun at your laziness? Ignorance is right. Sheesh. Dude, they have this thing nowadays that they call “the Google”. Heard of it?
  23. On one hand, it’s football. Not really a big deal. On the other hand, this incident is a perfect reflection of his punk B word ways. He did it out in the open, in full view of the ref, knowing he wasn’t gonna get penalized for it because of who he is. Ed was powerless to retaliate. That’s the definition of a punk B word.
  24. That would be even worse!
