I saw Wilt and the Lakers against the Buffalo Braves at the Aud in 1971-72, I believe. It was the first basketball game that I ever attended. The Lakers won 131-118. It was the game in which Jerry West tore up his knee in a collision with the Braves Bob Kaufman. I remember back in grade school some kid brought in a magazine that had a spread of Wilt's mansion, possibly in Life Magazine. There were all these photos of the architecture and all the fancy furnishings. But the thing that impresssed us kids the most was that Wilt had a basketball hoop inside his house! And then his numbers. How many were there, 10,000?

The rabbit and the chicken, hmmm... I have the dog and the pig. I take the time to find the name location and web addresses of spammers and I send them the dog and the pig along with a few other gems... A Pyrrhic victory yes, but fun nonetheless... The Bills need to step it up with the Throwbacks. Small market franchises like the Bills need to capitalize on additional revenue streams especially in light of the fact that the bigger, richer franchises don't want to share revenues.

One of the more interesting details from the 20/20 broadcast of last Friday was that they use an orchestra to supply music for the show. The music is a great accompaniment to the drama. In fact the story has so many twists and secrets that the music doesn't get it's due. Duey, you are an encyclopedia!!!

"4) Marv not opting for one final play to get the FG attempt closer." Marv gambled and lost. We had a shot and got alifetime of flashbacks instead. Every year right around the Super Bowl I get at least one nightmare of those ugly Sundays. Win one please Buffalo and get that 1000 pound gorilla off of our back.

The Fridge Loses Cake eating conest to 135lb man

It is worse that "the Fridge" lost a boxing match to of all people, Manute Bol. -
I still don't get the Boone / Shannon "relationship". Were they brother and sister or lovers? If their circumstances were that bizarre why kill off Boone? Or why bother including those details in the story at all? Then again maybe the censors or executives had some objections

Final: Canada 3 US 1. US outshot the Canadians 35-23 but Brodeur and Nash dominated.

The Braves had a solid following until the ownership change and resulting swap meet of star players. The NBA screwed Buffalo. I listened to, watched and attended Braves games. After the demise, I also never followed pro basketball again. Check out this site for a brief review of the Braves history. Pay close attention to the references to the years 76-77 and 77-78. http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nba/buffalo/bufbraves.html

Cinco de Mayo is less about Mexico defeating the French (in the US) than it is about selling alcohol. While the booze companies didn't invent the holiday, they certainly brought it into the mainstream. Why not? The same has been done to most other holidays such as Christmas and Easter. Soon we will have Clean Your Ear Wax Day and Turn Your Shorts Inside Out Day. Add a super model with a Q-tip, inside-out undies and a bottle of booze and wham we got us more drinking holidays!

From perusing the web sites, TSN is verified. ESPN looks bleak. TSN schedule: http://www.canada.com/sports/hockey/worldc...le.html?rfp=dta Canada 2 US 1 in 2nd.

0-0 after the first period. US seems to have dominated in part because of Canada's penalties. Here is the official site: http://live82.ihwc.net/english/

OT = Al-Qaida's #3 Man Arrested in Pakistan

Nice work but until the kingpin has been captured / liquidated, I do not feel any real joy. An Osama in Attica would be worth pay-per-view. -

Who are the leaders on this team?
Spun replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. Unfortunately, sometimes leadership and ego are inseparable. The leadership might be great but the ego eventually grounds the entire team. The Pats have done a pretty good job keeping the egos in check (at the expense of the rest of the league). -
Welcome BillsCanada. It is nice to know that we are represented in Gordie Howe country. This is a cool board. A lot of the other posters are hilarious and amazingly resourceful. Ask a question about the Bills past and present (and most anything else) and the answers and opinions come from all directions. There are posters from all over the world including Mexico, Germany, France, Australia among others. I have yet to make it to Saskatchewan. I have been to Ontario and Quebec quite a bit. It is a goal of mine to visit all fifty states (37 so far) and all of the provinces. CFL football has an interesting life of it's own. Those air horns going off at CFL games are classic. The horns used to be heard in the early days of the Sabres until the powers that be got mean and forbid them. Speaking of the ice, are you following the World Championships, Memorial Cup? Welcome again!

I have only seen a couple of episodes OF AD but it it is very creative, well written, off the wall and extremely different. Fox is taking some chances that hopefully have some legs.

Yes, the man has a boatload of issues but he still has great talent. I am hoping the Dolphins (if they still have his rights) would lose further in the deal but if some team could lasso in the baggage...

Time Warner - Coming to Buffalo Niagara
Spun replied to BILLS02138's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL Network would be nice. As for your avatar... Who is the Flower? -
Protect Losman, spring Willis! Offensive linemen first then defensive linemen. The Bills pass rush only gets so far and then it stalls. To beat NE and Pitt the Bills need upgrades on the lines.

http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20050416/2017821.asp This is a great idea for both Buffalo and Rochester area high school hockey. Western New York has been contributing to college rosters for years. If UB had it's act together they would bump up to Division I and keep some of these players in the area. It is amazing how the players find time to play for two teams. Being close to Canada can't hurt the development of these players. When one thinks of the hockey hotbeds in the States they think first of Minnesota, Massachusetts, North Dakota and Michigan. If New York hockey flexed they could also be up there with the elite states.
