Fox Sports Preseason Power Rankings

It makes nice copy but there are too many ifs. -
Tough love works. It is too bad there isn't more tough love such as to kids: study and read more and use the library, to the poor and those less able to provide for their kids (ex: less free time): don't have kids, to those concerned about police brutality: don't break the laws and don't taunt the po-lice, to everybody: don't overuse your credit cards, to Michael Moore: lay off the cookie batter... Matt Lauer was annoying in this interview. I am glad the Doc gave her it to her straight. Too bad about the vanity. Whatever it takes to improve her health... Not that we really need to see a picture but 250 lbs on most people of both genders is too much.

Diet and exercise. Diet: lay off the fat, sugar, grease, i.e. donuts, burritos, fast food, desserts... Exercise: try the stationary bike one hour a day or at least three times per week. The bike is less strenuous, easier on the knees and one only has to get one's arse into the gym. The bikes with the seat back are probably better for those with back concerns. Sweating all that water, one hour per session, chops calories and pounds. There is nothing creative nor novel here just tried and true persistance. Personal trainers can be accessed at much less $ but I suppose if one has the jing, pay more, if one thinks it will ensure desired results. Some would rather MM stay rotund.

Ditto. Holy mackerel (Buffalo expression)! Great pickup for the Senators but bad news for the Sabres having to play another team on the rise...

Was there only one shot?

I would like to think the American way was using / wasting less gas and ultimately helping to bring down prices.

I am not reading much about Mike Williams. Maybe that is a good thing. What is everybody seeing from MW? Also, I am not up to date as to when Parrish is returning and his status, any help? Thanks!

What surprised me is Sullivan's going after Golisano.
-
Usually I disagree with Sullivan but I have to raise my glass to his calling out Sabres management for it's minimal response to upgrade the roster... I like some of the prospects such as Vanek and Roy but should Regier be doing more? Is waiting until next years free agents become available good enough? http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20050823/1059037.asp

A lot of properties are going on sale. Many are reduced for sale though I hear that Rancho Santa Fe is still on fire like bubble isn't in their dictionary.

Here is one estimate... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_by_country However, do note: "Though French law prohibits the census from any reference to ethnic background or religion (underlining is mine) , many demographers estimate that as much as 20-30 per cent of the population under 25 is now Muslim. The streets, the traditional haunt of younger people, now belong to Muslim youths". Source: http://www.isranet.org/DataBank/france_mus...20community.htm

Rousseau is just one more jewel of a character. Her insanity should reemerge. But who will she ally with, if anybody? The group on the boat should also be very interesting. They came off as very creepy as if they are capable of doing anything. I wonder what their plans are for Walt. Depending on how long the series goes it will be interesting to see how Walt changes as he ages. And Mr Locke. Or is that Mr Loco? And that baby. Somebody from the raft probably died but that won't be revealed until when, hmmm... Thanksgiving? 2006?

Not to mention France has the largest Muslim population of all European countries.

Jack In The Box, Carls Jr., In and Out and all those 24 hour Mexican food huts (Albertos, et al...) Sitting on the freeway doesn't do much for burning calories either!!!

Point taken, there are some who are obsessed with bringing Armstrong down. I have seen enough to know that anything is possible but as far as I know, none of the allegations of illegalities has been proven true. BTW, there are some French that wanted to adopt Armstrong as a Frenchman! I suspect that they don't work for Le Monde! It would be fun to watch another American come along and win the TdF again! When Greg LeMond won two in the 80's it was viewed as significant in part because of the rarity of an American winning. But seven in a row. Flying down mountains at 50 miles an hour. Getting back on the bike after slamming down on the pavement at high speed. Seven wins in a row. This feat will have even more significance in time.

If this is the end for Eddie George, he can hold his head high. He had a very nice go. Career stats: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/GeorEd00.htm

Are you sure you don't mean the Sheraton Falls View? http://www.fallsview.com/NiagaraFallsviewHotel.shtml For future reference, when traveling in and out of Canada by air definitely carry a passport. In the past, I have used an expired passport without hassle but I suspect that this practice may end in the near future.

Another Lawrence Phillips mishap

This guy couldn't even hide himself with flipping out. Or maybe this was his way of turning himself in? -
No. Then you have to stay at the bus station.

It is nice to know that someone other than the Bills has o-line concerns...

I have never been in the Buffalo Hyatt but if it is anything like the convention center then it is a dump.

Well, it is the Chargers. With head chump Alex Spanos in the saddle, expect them to shoot themselves in the foot. Even so, the Chargers had to have learned a few things from their public relations disasters of the last few years. Having Gates sit will not sit well with the Charger faithful. They will compromise to the mild satisfaction of both sides. Having Gates on the field makes Tomlinson and Brees more lethal. Well, speaking of the Chargers, they do excel in other ways... http://www.chargers.com/chargergirls/index.cfm

Actually, there are quite a few conversion sites. Here is one: http://finance.yahoo.com/currency?u For others: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc...ncy+conversions $200 - $250 CDN roughly converts into $165 - $ 206 US. That is a lot of Bloody Cesars...
