  1. TO is a great receiver when he isn't a cancer to his team. If TO was that impatient with Donovan McNabb, how would he do with J.P. Losman and Kelly Holcomb with the Bills current offensive line struggles? Maybe he learned his lesson but I wouldn't bet on it. That window of time in most cases for an NFL player is very short. TO just wasted one year that he can't have back. I have doubts about TO's mental discipline. That would be very sad if TO feel even further by becoming a choke artist.
  2. Terrell Owens = Latrell Sprewell Official Members of The Crash and Burn Society
  3. What did she say about Jenny? Jenna is a trooper.
  4. Let's hope that it is an improvement from the Pittsburgh honor roll.
  5. The article is ridicule of the Al Sharpton type of mentality of "where's ours?" If we can't recognize the sarcasm then literacy services are in order. The bottom line is that New York State is about to lose it's place as the most populous state in the eastern U.S. to Florida. Taxes keep going up and business and people keep going out. The brain is draining and I'm not sure how much is left. Basic education, parks and libraries are being chopped. The people of New York are not in gear. Finding ways to be less of a cause for out of control taxes is a smart way to go but by listening to some New York State leaders (including those of the two major political parties), you wouldn't know it. New York State isn't a bad place to live but serious changes need to take place especially among those that live there. And they will remain the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres please and thank you. Good night now.
  6. Any chance AFLAC is one of the sponsors?
  7. I guess it is okay for kids (reluctantly) but adults...not. Do the egocentric birfday bs at home please. And at Hometown Buffet they got that bumble bee going around singing and dancing and getting in the way. Just once I would like to see someone take out the bumble bee with a Terry Tate the Office Linebacker sort of a hit.
  8. I can care less about power rankings and what "know-it-alls" think of the Sabres. I care about the Sabres continuing to win and continuing to improve. A win tonight against the Thrashers would complete a nice series of road wins. Ottawa is coming up. It would be very nice to have a win against the Senators since the Sabres have yet to play well against the Senators this season. The Bruins beat Ottawa last night 5-0. The Sabres need to get through all these injuries.
  9. Good ideas: "In his previous campaigns for governor, and on his current political website, Mr. Golisano has advocated cutting state taxes, spending and borrowing; limiting the influence of donations in politics and government; wiping out fraud and abuse in the state Medicaid program, which is estimated to run into the billions of dollars; and raising academic standards and promoting discipline in public schools."
  10. Get it done!
  11. Swados sounds familiar. I believe he was in the Sabres organization. One interesting thing about the Buffalo Bisons hockey team is that for a time they played in Fort Erie. There were a lot of riots in 1968. In Buffalo and cities all across the country (Vietnam, MLK assassination, etc.) there was incredible anger. Even as a little kid I sensed it and saw some of it. I went to high school with kids from the fruit belt and they used to tell me how they didn't like going down Jefferson. I am amazed that the Sears at Jefferson and Main stayed open as long as it did. If I can find it, I will check out the book.
  12. Beau Fleuve. I visit each summer for the World Film Festival.

  14. I was referring to this guy: http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...?hub=TopStories And how about this guy's comments?: http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/s...dcba45a&k=83440 Habs started the season with a lot of optimism. Then they fizzled. Maybe they can regroup after the Olympic break.
  15. Speaking of the Habs, what is going on with that guy that crashed the practice? What's his name Raphael?
  16. There once was a time when we would not have been able to see someone like Ovechkin outside of the Olympics. Thankfully, the 1972 Summit Series and the Canada Cup helped significantly change international hockey. With the Gretzky and Lemieux era officially over, we are once again very fortunate to now witness the beginning of the Ovechkin and Crosby era. And who knows what Evgeni Malkin (drafted by the Penguins) and Phil Kessel (University of Minnesota freshman) will add to the mix. As for the highlights, I had trouble downloading the clips but the web site worked out for me: http://www.ovechkinfans.com/. The one timer against the Flyers was sweet (goal # 25). The thing about Ovechkin is like Lemieux, he also plays a physical style.
  17. Juste Pour Rire (Just For Laughs) will do that to you... Fluency helps! Montreal Comedy Festival: http://www.hahaha.com/
  18. That was close. I was afraid that Peter Pan dude was going to show up again.
  19. Interestingly, the Sabres official site has a survey going as to whether the hip check should be banned. The results are roughly 5:1 for keeping the hip check. Many years ago, I was playing intramurals at UB when I threw the only hip check of my life. This guy happened to be so close in the middle of the ice that I just naturally side swiped him. He flipped into one of his teammates and all three of us went to the ice. It was worth the bloody chin. Another time I was playing pickup hockey when this kid from Nichols threw the hip on one of my friends and ended up breaking my friend's leg. The hip check is beautiful to throw and watch but if it is you on the receiving end it may not be so fun. It is dangerous but so are so many other checks. Speaking of checks, the game sure isn't the same without Scott Stevens. I remember Sabre Mike Robitaille dishing out some incredible hip checks. Connolly seemed to be hitting his stride before the injury.
  20. Great player, sad day. I saw him play live once in the World Cup two years ago in Montreal. Every time he touched the puck the crowd cheered! Although I am certainly not a Penguins fan, it was cool to watch him playing with Crosby. There was this two on one earlier this year when Crosby passed in to Lemieux and then started streaking down ice. Lemieux then returned a perfect pass back to Crosby who then scored. It was a textbook play. Mario will be talked about for many years to come. An era just ended. Prayers for his health and thanks for the memories!
  21. Then how did the boat get there in the first place? There might be a strategic and security advantage to having any boat, especially if it is the only boat. I was wondering, is all that dynamite gone?
  22. More Latinas.
  23. Old time hockey. Eddie Shore.
  24. It is generally recommended to couple diet with exercise. Avoid the sugar, fat foods, most fast foods and fried foods. Adding more fruits and vegetables can be helpful to your diet as long as you aren't burying them with fattening sauces. If you can get on a daily exercise plan do so. Running works for some but it can get boring. Getting into a gym to use a stairmaster or exercise bike can knock off the calories and not be so strenuous. Once you get in a gym it is easier because most everybody else is also exercising. Running can be very challenging as it can be such a solitary endeavor. Getting workout partner(s) can be very helpful. Personal trainers can also work for you. Build muscle and burn fat. Good luck!!!
  25. It may be one of those peculiar applications of Canadian law, i.e. Dave Winfield and the seagull and the Marty McSorley clubbing of Donald Brashear. Speaking of helmet swings... In high school one of my teammates got the worse for wear in a fight. As the referees separated the two, my teammate wound up and smacked this other guy across the face with his helmet and opened up a gusher. Today charges would most likely be filed and lawsuits soon to follow. But back then both players got the mandatory one game suspension. Eventually, my teammate attended the same school that we were playing so the two ended up being on the same team.
