My avatar does nothing to determine the outcome on the ice. Superstition? Whatever... The Bills franchise has a big target it on it. It is more than talk that richer people and richer cities have been plotting to pull the franchise out of WNY regardless of how much fan support there is for the Bills. Yes, there are drunks in most every stadium. But when supposed neutral (or not) observers highlight The Ralph for "some of the worst fan behavior" it does not help the longevity of the franchise nor what happens on the field. Charger fans will be at the game on Sunday. The reports from the Chargers last visit were consistent with the "some of the worst fan behavior" critique. The Bills fans needs to act smarter as people are starting to talk about the franchise as an afterthought even while the team is on the rise. Partying is fine, obnoxious and rude is starting to lose favor across the NFL. One of the last Bills games that I attended, some drunk guy was being helped up a ramp while unable to keep has trousers up. If we are going to drink, we need to drink like we have done it before.

Most of us posters neither take nor deliver the hits on field. You get all ****faced and think your weekend off makes you entitled to think and act like you are a somebody. Get over yourselves. Get some class and watch the game. Drunks, you have problems, big problems. Imagine yourself as a kid not being able to attend and enjoy a game. Don't be so selfish. You are just another fan. The Bills franchise has enough enemies especially those wanting to rip the franchise out of Buffalo. Don't be a reason for losing our team. Passion does not mean being a drunken, rude *******.

TG retire in the city that loves you. A trade for how many more games? Bills sniffed but in the end stayed smart. -
The Chargers want to stay. If they didn't they would have left a long time ago. The demographics in SD are strong. Orange County fans take the train down. You can take the trolley or drive to the games. The support is there. In time they will resolve the stadium debate. The economy needs to get better. The billionaire owners can't make enough money. Gotta have those corporate boxes. The corporate folks, the ones who get bailed out...

I have got to get glasses. I have been correcting typos all morning. That one slipped... TH. What a shame. I respected the way he used to put his shoulder down before going out of bounds. I have to sign off and let my eyes adjust. I'm at San Diego State's computer lab. Great for eye adjustment.

50 points, that part was out there! Bama is pretty good! What was he drinking? PSU hasn't had recent success against the Bucks especially at Columbus. The Buckeyes seem to struggle offensively. Teams are scheming for Pryor, who has a lot to learn. The two qb system attempted against the Trojans made Pryor more effective. I don't know what happened against Purdue. Even Beanie Wells didn't seem to have a great game. PSU looks strong. 48-7 on the road in the Big Ten / Eleven is impressive...

The Two best Teams in the NCAA are OU and Mizzou!

Follow college football long enough and you learn that the natural order of things lasts until next the next game. If you want in the BCS and you have to lose a game, do it early (USC and Florida) not late. Missouri took a pounding in the polls for their loss. USC and Florida look primed to climb back up the rankings. Florida and Alabama are headed for a classic. -
That is a giveaway. In that case ounce on it.

Third rounder won't be enough. But get him before next Sunday!

You are sounding a little like Stl Bills!

When the Chargers blasted the Bills 48-10 a few years back in San Diego it was a terrible matchup. The Chargers were strongest with their offensive and defensive lines. At the time, the Bills were very vulnerable with both lines. Yes, the Bills roster has changed a lot with some talented young players. However, the Chargers lines are still dominant and match up very well against both the Bills lines. Arizona, who evidentally is a very solid team, exposed the Bills offensive line for what it is, mediocre (still). And the short passing attack of the Cardinals has to make Phillip Rivers even more confident. When the Chargers muscle their opponents their finesse (LT) soon takes over. And the Bills still have a so-so pass rush. I hope that I am wrong. I hope after having the time off the coaches script a great game plan. But I don't expect a victory for the Bills nor a close game. Speaking of LT, that cut move last night night left me laughing. The poor defender was left crawling on the ground. Speaking of Arizona, that may well be a playoff bound team that could also go to the Super Bowl. The Cards are very physical.

Just wait until the first BCS rankings come out. Then the wonks really get dizzy! Pollsters can screw up the obvious. So much changes within a season. I expect the BCS championship to have at least one team with a loss. If the Big 12 is so loaded (they are) how can anybody be so sure they are the best? It easy to say that Texas and Oklahoma could be the game of the year but then again there is Florida and LSU. But then again how can we forget teams like Missouri and Alabama. There is a long way to go and a lot of surprises to come. There will be some upsets and some very upset people. Alabama has been a surprise. Can USC sniffle back up the polls? -
Both lines were pathetic. There is insufficient improvement in pass and run blocking and the pass rush smells like Grand Island. There was an initial push in part because the Cards offensive line backed up and then nothing. Paper tigers on the defensive line. They collect some sacks against mediocre opponents but don't do much otherwise. Lining up offsides? Are they blind? Too many stupid penalties and turnovers. Peters is playing no better than John Fina. The Chargers and Fish will run all over the Bills. And what was with that short kickoff? Can they bring Bruce Smith back? Seriously. I think the Bills are trying to get away from hopeless attempts at running up the middle. I think. I hope. Losman? Losman? (Insert Jim Mora inflection here).

The look on his face when he first saw the Hansen's was incredible! Great role, great movie, great actor and great guy! RIP Coach!

Who are they going to blame this time when they don't make the BCS Final? The schedule makers, the pollsters, the SEC, Ohio State, the referees? And if they lose to another PAC 10 team look out! Nice win Oregon State! It may be another year in which one and two loss teams play for the championship. And it looks as if SEC teams will be in the mix again. Oklahoma will have a tough path.

As an Oakland A's fan, I am still very disappointed. All cheaters s***.

A friend of mine from Columbus e-mailed me this from the Columbus Dispatch. I don't know if this site's administrators alow me to post this for legal reasons but it is interesting. It is a letter to columnist Ray Stein. His response is classic! Sunday, February 04, 2007 Sir: I attended the (Jan. 26) game between the Blue Jackets and Buffalo. I have never seen such rude, out-of-control, classless fans than Sabres fans. They walked around as if they owned the place. I witnessed Buffalo fans throwing beer, popcorn and other objects at Columbus fans. Some of them were even yelling "Go Sabres" and obscenities during the national anthem, which really riled me. I have seen better behavior from 6-year-olds. The fact that the Sabres lost the game and that they were in the opponents’ home territory seemed to make no difference to these people. I seriously question their sanity. Buffalo fans, you are not welcome here again. Stay home. -author name deleted- Response: Bring on the Eastern Conference! We need more energy in that building, not less.

Yearbooks. Do the media guides have what the yearbooks used to include? It was funny talking to the Blue Jacket fans. Once they found out I was from Bflo they said that they wouldn't hold it against me. I had heard a little bit about what happened and it was confirmed. One thing that was accomplished is that the Sabres now have a rivalry with the Blue Jackets, of all teams. It is cool to see people turning on to hockey for the first time (as opposed to bandwagon leapers). Columbus has yet to make the NHL playoffs. I told the Jackets fans that once they make the playoffs and they have a competitive team, a lot changes. I used to live in Columbus and there was only one TV station that would even mention hockey scores (thank you Jimmy Crum - real name!).

I was going through some boxes and I came across some old Sabres yearbooks from the mid-nineties and I compared them to a recent yearbook.. What happened? The earlier models were smaller but with more pages of content. The recent version (2007) hardly had any content just mostly photos. Did the Sabres subcontract the yearbook production to give us a generic collection of photos and went cheap on infornation? I saw some yearbooks from other teams and they were just as dreadful. I ran into some Columbus Blue Jacket fans the other night. Somewhere in the conversation it came up that I was from Buffalo. After further discussion I learned that Sabres fans kind of made their mark while visiting Columbus to see the Sabres play the Blue Jackets last season. For those Sabres fans that attended the game, what did you guys do? Did this have something to do with alcohol consumption? Fess up! What happened?

I believe Devin Hester is a bit better than Parrish. With the Chargers having Tomlinson banged up, San Diego has opened up the passing game with Rivers and the running game has gained from using Sproles. Similarly, having McKelvin and Hardy return kicks and catch passes respectively, they won't replace Parrish but in the long term I believe the team will have developed two more threats. I like Oman. He has Sproles-like qualities. I still regret the Bills not picking up Chris Chambers. I like the use of FB Darian Barnes during the Raiders game. Spread the ball around. Use short passes to start the games and then throw deep.

The Buckeyes should consider replacing some of their returning starters with some underclassman. The offense is very out of sync. The offense played better against SC than they did against Ohio! Even if Wells played I think SC would have won. Keeping Wells out was gutsy but probably smart. Wells must be injured pretty bad. The Bucks need to reload at receiver because they haven't had the skills at the position since Holmes, Ginn Jr. and Gonzalez. It was another what-if game for the Buckeyes. Had OSU's touchdown counted on a drive that didn't need a holding penalty, it could have been a better game. Right after the call the flood gates burst. I like the two qb system but maybe it is something that will produce later in the year. I don't like hearing that Pryor is a cocky *@#&. However, that isn't a rare trait in college football. USC has become pretty arrogant in their own right. Seeing Missouri or Oklahoma knock down the Trojans later in the season might be fun to watch.

It is sad to say but our country has a killing problem. Along with a drinking and drug problem. I pass on my sorrow and gratitude to the fallen officers, family and friends.

The refs flaked on that one. Very bad call.

This game was a rain game without the rain. Very sloppy effort by the Buckeyes and a gutsy performance by Ohio U. Both OU qb's can run. The Buckeyes inserted freshman Pryor and he also was a threat when running. This was the day to catch the Buckeyes especially with some of their miscues ex: fumble in their own end zone, missed field goal and missed extra point. In the end it was the Buckeye defense that won the game with four interceptions. The Big 10 / 11 doesn't look very strong. Possibly, they are all ranked too high. The Buckeyes better wake up because SC is waiting.
