  1. Would rather have Lindell for short late fgs
  2. He has to be about the best at OLine which is a very valuable thing
  3. This would be way more comfortable than picking some QB at 8
  4. Those numbers were showing how he improved a lot from year 1 to 2. That is the meaning. It's hard to dispute that he was improving through 2008. IMO it's also hard to dispute that he started to regress sometime around the Wilson hit. The true cause is up for debate but I have a strong feeling it was the effects of that hit. Even a subtle change to the upper cervical area can have a profound effect on a person. It can effect the wherewithal of a person. I believe it might have cut down his field vision. It's hard to watch that hit and not think it could have injured that area. 1. How hard would it be to get separate numbers for before and after the Wilson hit? 2. Check 3:35 of that video I posted to see basically a jaw-dropping throw against zone. Obviously it's just one throw, but I honestly don't think many QBs would be able to make it. And the situation doesn't get much more clutch
  5. Here's an example of Trent playing very good (3:35 into the video). It really is an incredible throw in between 4 defenders to win the game with time expiring
  6. I'm sure he recovered from the concussion, but I think there was more to it than that. Probably some upper cervical issues, and those can hang on forever.
  7. Get a grip, he didn't always suck. He made a big jump from his first to second year. From 56% to 66% and 6.1 to 7.2 YPA He was on a good trajectory until the Wilson hit. He was able to stare down the gun barrel which is good for a QB but maybe he was too good at it
  8. You just can't beat Kolbster
  9. I watched most of his games and agree the cardinals oline sucked. His bonehead play rate is low enough, and accuracy good enough that I'm pretty excited. I think we will keep searching for someone better while we find out how good he can be
  10. Good post. Here is some reason for hope. He was sacked at half the rate with the eagles than cardinals Team Att sack pct Phi 285 19 6.7% Ari 436 57 13%
  11. ///// Comparing System QBs \\\\\ I thought this was interesting comparing Rich Rod (Scott) vs. Dana Holgorsen (Geno). Rich Rod had his most yards ever with Scott. Holgorsen had his least with Geno. Scott's numbers crushed any other of Rich Rod's QBs, Geno's numbers were about the same as Holgorsen's other QBs. 12. I'm finally excited about one of this year's QBs. It looks like he carried his team. There is plenty of proof of him coming through in the "clutch". I don't think there are any other QBs in this draft that meet either one of those criteria, let alone both. Then add in his arm strength, quick release, and accuracy... he is the only one without big question marks
  13. Good point. I would feel much better, when its time to replace Nix, going with someone who has successful GM experience. Or possibly a proven star evaluator aspiring to GM. Whaley could be a candidate but do an exhaustive search. Look at the time and effort turning over every stone to find a player. Picking the picker is another level up in importance.
  14. Been watching a lot of him. He actually absorbs hits well, he seems flexible, not a statue like many say. He did have a faster 40 time than Wilson, Nassib and Jones. The important thing is many times he makes good plays under pressure. His quick release helps him with that. Also his ability to slide and reset quickly (see senior bowl second half). In contrast Jones takes a number of sacks just because it stangely takes him forever to get rid of the ball once he decides to throw it away.
  15. Agree Nix is DEFINITELY our best since Butler. And his draft hit percentage has been going up. He has been tweaking the scouting staff the whole time which could be working.
  16. I have been up and down on nassib but mentally he's the man. Clutchness seems veery important so I never understood why John beck had that in college but stunk in nfl
  17. Hook a microphone to you tv and connect it to the bills draft room?
  18. Ohhh then maybe Whaley is "respected" by other teams for ensuring the consistency of our suckitude?
  19. He looked to me like a possible MVP of our defense. I'm not sure how great his dad was, but he looks like someone with serious football genes
  20. Forget Maybin like a bad dream, and think of a slightly better Penn State guy, Shane Conlan
  21. Bills your post gets me pumped! Esspecially about Dareus I didn't get to focus in on him when I watched. Marcellosaurus!!!!
  22. This makes sense, whens the last time they put up points like that on the Stillers
  23. Ill have some crow too. Im amazed
  24. How many years did Evans have left with us
