I would love to see evidence that shows that the borrowing to the lower income caused these foreclosures or to the middle/upper class wanna bees that were buying 500K+ houses immediately out of college or with huge other debts. If ya look at what we have become each side blames the other. The right is blaming clinton and obama and the left is blaming bush and mccain. It is time for real action and true leadership, its time for fireside chats and ross perot type of charts ( ok ross may have made them too complex for the average american ) so that the average american can understand the crisis and the solution. It is time for real changers or mavericks to stand up and take action and if they love this country and want to defend it so badly they would stand up and say " Folks I dont give a rats ass if ya elect/reelect me or not but I am going to fix this problem, right here and right now" But unfortunately we just want to blame the other folks to further our own political, career or social agendas. So every so often I like to listen in to either sides talk shows for about the 15 minutes I can stand listening them. Today I turned on the "one on loan from god " and he is rambling on about how Obama screwed the whole thing up. That Obama was fed info from Goldman Sachs and treasury folks on the republican house plan and that Paulson is really an Obama spy. OK I am paraphrasing. So everyone defers to Obama and he immediately starts attacking the conservatives plan and puts Paulson on point. The hollering and screaming occurs and McCain tries to settle everything down as McCain is known for his cooler heads mode of operation. And now ya know the rest of the story.
