My head says No but my heart wants someone like him -
favorite Bills player?

Bobby Chandler and Talley, However Reggie helped me get OJ's autograph -
Have you watched the CBS pregame show there is no analysis of teams and what they will do or not. It is one of the worst pregame shows ever. Agree Cowher doesnt want a struggle like he had with TD. But you do give me an idea, maybe we can round up Ray Finkle, BillsNC and others to grab his wife and hold her till Bill signs.

FYI if they were flying to meet Cowher very unlikely they would fly into Hickory, RDU is less than 15 minutes from Cowhers house and Hickory is bit more of a ride than 30 miles plus other small airports are much closer if they were trying to keep low profile. Plus the executive hanger at RDU is pretty low key.

Jester, clearly you have a dislike for Ralph and I do question his true state of mind on everything that has been going on for the last 5 years however when Ralph hired TD everyone in the world thought he made the best move in the world and than we hired this young intelligent and well organized DC from tenn and the rest is history. If a change in ownership is looming wish it would happen now so that the new owners can rebuild the franchise however in all appearances it looks like Ralph is willing to pay it is hard to believe that his mere presence is keeping people away.

Maybe Nix was blowing smoke screens when he said he wanted experienced head coach. Just seems hot coordinators havent gotten us anywhere of late however Atlanta had success with sort of no name GM and coach.

Is Cowher walking dog in N.C. today?
bills_fan_in_raleigh replied to EndZoneCrew's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was a brown paper bag over it and William ( as he is called in the neighborhood ) was wearing just your average walmart winter clothing. Next Time I will be sure to snatch a photo and also make sure I can see if that is blue and red under that bag -

Yes but the dog had on a sweater and Bill was really bundled up, maybe hes trying to get used to the idea of Buffalo. -
Wasnt able to catch the show to see if he had any further inside info on getting a deal done? Looks like potential activities in Cleveland could tip over the apple cart and keep uncertainties going for weeks. Its good to see Buddy taking time and going through the process vs jumping to knee jerk reactions of the fans. Hopefully we can get this closed soon and developing the staff to evaluate who on the roster is in long term plans and what the needs will be for FA and the draft.

Sorry unless perry changed his defensive scheme I do not want him leading this team as HC. We need to get bigger and stronger not more Maybins -
Before you call Ralph cheap

People forget that Ralph used his money to help Oakland and Boston in early days of AFL to stay alive. He also used his own money in 70;s to put money into the players funds. Ralph always cared about the league and sometimes his thriftiness was for the good of the league vs the good of the Bills -
Ed, Cowher went to school at NC State here in Raleigh, his wife played on NCSU womens basketball team and is from eastern north carolina. Its just a 3:30 minute drive from raleigh to charlotte and many short flights a day. Yes the ownership in Carolina is in flux and may even be sold this year to a bunch of Bank of America Execs etc. and the prospect of new owners with connections to Cowher has been speculated alot in these parts. I like John Fox and wanted him in Buffalo but his recent DC hire was old Colts DC and a major mistake. They have a decent young QB that looked good at end of season, a decent line and defense in place. I think one thing Cowher has to decide is does he think he can rebuild a franchise like Buffalo or would he rather just right a ship in Carolina. Alot more unknowns in Buffalo but from my view a bigger challenge is what I would be shooting for.

If Holmgren does grab Fox no way we win the Cowher sweepstakes. The ownership in Carolina is in flux however always seemed like this is his dream job. One story a few weeks back implied that Cowher could end up with an ownership stake in Panthers as well. Wish I had the link but cant find it at this point
