  1. I think every team likes to start fast and early but that really didn't affect us last week as we came back by halftime (took the lead as well) and got the ball after the half. I'm not concerned about that. I just hope we don't turn the ball over 4 times in the 2nd half again.
  2. To be fair, it's not funny at all.
  3. Since you seem so hellbent on pointing toward the statistics of both guys, you seem to be forgetting the most important one of them all. Marshawn Lynch - 6 Touchdowns Fred Jackson - 1 Touchdown And not many of them have come easy. What would Lynch have to do to prove "differently?"
  4. The backup QB problem should be last in magnitude. Robert Royal has cost us in many situations this year. He's our starting tight end, most of the time. JP has seen the field once this year. I'd definitely rank not having a legitimate tight end (who's been on the field every game) above having an average backup quarterback.
  5. Not sure if you are watching the same games we are. Do you realize how many first downs Lynch has had to literally fight for? If not for his determination, grit and fight, this team wouldn't be in the position it is in at the moment, and I'm speaking of it's good record. To claim Lynch is ordinary is damn silly. I love Fred Jackson just as much as the next guy, but he couldn't do what he's done without the help of Lynch. Look at what your boy Fred Jackson did when he was given 3 carries near the goal line. Our offensive line gave him NO push, not a single damn yard and Fred couldn't get that TD. There's a reason why people were screaming over why Lynch wasn't in that series, because they know that's the type of touchdown Lynch CAN get and Fred can't because he creates yards when there's nothing. Fred is really shifty and good late in the game when the opposing team's line is worn down. Go ahead, review the second half running stats. You'll notice a trend. We're more effective. Now try to deny that Lynch isn't a huge reason for that.
  6. I'm happy with this decision. No matter what you say about this guy, his guys are ready to play every Sunday. I had my doubts about DJ early on but he's done a really fine job this season. What a difference a quarterback makes. Even the head coach is better.
  7. And every week there's at least one reply identical to this one. Let the man have some fun....
  8. It's official, it's a bad joke.
  9. All of these changes intrigue me. I'm all for it. My only question is, if last game was any indicator and Donte really is an exceptional Free Safety, like a game changing Free Safety, why wasn't this done quicker? I assume the answer is there was no capable SS until they saw Bryan Scott play the way he did against the Chargers. There's 2 guys I can't seem to get familiar with on this team, Bryan Scott and Copeland Bryan. I've seen this Scott fellow make the occasional play but I don't know much about either players' background. Hopefully he pans out as our Strong Safety.
  10. What a joke. I'm not saying it should be a Bill but I am saying it definitely shouldn't be Matt Cassel. I watched that game and he meant very little. Some of his throws made me laugh. Can't wait to play the Pats and get some revenge.
  11. Don't gamble, you always end up losing in the end. I promise you that. Besides, betting with or against your team ALWAYS ruins the original purpose of watching said team. For example, if the Bills win by 1 point, and you bet them with the line of (-2) then you'd be pretty upset at the Bills even though they just won and became 6-1! No way to be a Bills fan. K, I'll stop before the gambling addicts attack me...
  12. You're trying too hard. 5 biggest concerns would've been far more acceptable considering there's at least 5 points on here that are very debatable and sometimes flat out wrong. EVERY team would have this concern regarding their starting quarterback. There are less than a handful of back-ups capable of leading their team into the playoffs. It's just not worth pointing out because it's so obvious. You mention Tennessee's easy schedule, but yeah, what if they lose Kerry Collins? Then I guess their season changes pretty dramatically. Because you're certain of this? Since when were NFL games predetermined? And we're talking about the team that just lost to Oakland, right? By far, the worst point of them all simply because you've already counted that game as a loss to a team that isn't even the toughest opponent left on our schedule. The team's status? Most of the guys on this roster could be gone after the current deal expires that is guaranteed to keep the team in Buffalo for years. I can promise you this will be the last distraction on their mind. Most of them could care less about this issue, because they're getting paid no mater what. I hate to make this issue sound so irrelevant to them because of how much we love this team, but it's true. And that's affected our record up until this point? Not one bit. 5-1, bro. In fact, the one time we needed him, he came through. As someone pointed out, the offensive coordinator is a huge reason why our wide receivers looked so poorly at times last year. Don't worry, Josh looks great this year, Lee has been awesome and Roscoe has even made big contributions. ?!? Surely this statement isn't because of the balloon incident, is it? I have not heard many folks complaining about the Ralph "falling apart."
  13. eh, i'm sick of him. he doesn't deserve to be on this team. trent would've made him look like gold again. his loss, not ours. have fun with whoever your quarterback is now, tg.
  14. Oh, playmaker.. almost forgot about him.
  15. *I'm sure many of you who opt to watch the games in the comfortable confines of your living room can relate to this, but this wasn't how I'd like to watch the Bills every week. I'm the type of guy who CANNOT miss a play, or even a second of the game. If I do, I just feel like I missed out on something. Switching back and forth from the radio to TV was a bit frustrating, but being able to watch most of the 4th quarter and witnessing the Bills beat a team who were 1 game away from the Super Bowl last year made up for it. *K. Mitchell made 2 of the biggest defensive plays of the year for this team in the 4th quarter, something we haven't seen from a linebacker (Spikes pre-injury?) in quite a bit. It's great to have a guy who was apart of a super bowl winning team last year making plays like this IN THE 4TH QUARTER against a quarterback who was razor sharp with his accuracy (22 of 29) for most of the game. And I don't know about you, but I dig the long, wild, Polamalu-esque hair. *Fred Jackson's stock continues to rise by the week. He's just a different kind of runner, a guy who always manages to get yards when you think there is none to be had. I think if he we re-sign Jackson, this 1-2 combo will be thought of in the class of Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor in Jacksonville. *I realize McKelvin was a victim of a few touchdown throws by Rivers, but I want to give the kid the benefit of the doubt. By most accounts, the 2nd touchdown would have been very difficult for even the best cornerback in the league to stop. Remember, guys like Greer and McGee had similar games like this in their first season. Hell, McGee had plenty of games where we questioned his status as a true #1 corner. Don't get down on the kid yet, he'll bounce back. *That scramble by Edwards in the 3rd quarter on 3rd down was huge! Excellent heads up play by Edwards. *And for the people who live and die for what the media thinks about us, I'm sure this win will lead to a few more people hopping on the bandwagon. Probably not Cris Carter yet, but in due time my friend, in due time. And Berman is ecstatic, you know it. I expect plenty of good articles, like the Clark Judge article I just read. *And I couldn't forget to mention that the Jets and Dolphins lost!!! And New England has a tough game tomorrow. A weekend with the Bills winning and the rest of the AFC East losing seems almost too good to be true. It sure feels good to be 5-1. I can't wait to watch a full game next Sunday!!!! GO BILLS!!!!
  16. LEON JOE has to be available.
  17. Can't wait for Sunday!!!!!
  18. F*ck him. Enjoy the rest of your season losing, Tony
  19. I say, let's just wait until something happens before we draw any more conclusions. Everything I'm reading is nothing but guesswork. We'll find out pretty soon if he is going to be a Buffalo Bill or not.
  20. I would hope the majority of people posting here agree with that and I'm presuming they think we can acquire TG without giving up Fred Jackson. Besides, KC has a few running backs as it is. I think a draft pick or 2 will do the trick. I would be shocked if we lost Fred Jackson considering what he's done for us this season thus far.
  21. No kidding. I hope you understood the context of my post. I'm not pretending this is a done deal, in fact I think it's far from that. Rumors this good generally don't work out for the Bills and their fans. That being said, I'm still holding out hope that we pull the trigger and land TG.
  22. *Crosses fingers* please please please please please please. I don't want to get my hopes up in case this doesn't work out in our favor, but man, how cool would that be if we ended up with one of the better tight ends in the league? Now if we could only magically land a real Center, our offense would be set.
  23. You're right about that. Maybe, maybe Denver?! But the rest of our schedule seems pretty manageable. But this league is crazy so I'm not taking anything for granted. Dare I say, this is the game where we find out how good this team can be. The Chargers physicality alone scares me.
  24. It seems like you can come up with an excuse as to why we beat the teams we've already beaten this season (Seattle - no WR's, Jax - No O-Line, Oak - No stability with a lame duck coach, STL - Winless and see Oak) but I really don't agree with much of that. Still, plenty of folks believe we've been the beneficiary of a soft schedule. How about San Diego though? They are loaded with talent and just smacked the Patriots around with relative ease. Is this the game that makes you feel pretty damn good about the Bills if we win the game? For me, I say yes. But, that's a big if. Should be a great game, coming off the bye and at the Ralph. GO BILLS!!!
