  1. So much for that BS eagles post, I thought LB said he wasn't going to play guard and he wanted to remain at Center. Then again, money talks; either that or something is wrong with Faine (he has been hurt a lot in his career).
  2. Too bad there Mock for us sucks for 2006, I do like this site though and visit it quite frequently.
  3. REC YD Y/R TD FPT SEASON TOTAL 18 131 7.3 1 19 Game Summaries Week 1 vs CHI - Royal caught his lone pass for a first down on what ended up as the Redskins’ winning drive. The play was a play action, fake reverse in the red zone that left Royal wide open for a short pass. Week 2 at DAL - Royal was targeted on short out routes where he had some success. He showed decent hands and a willingness to not only take a hit, but to make one to attempt to gain extra yards after the catch. Week 4 vs SEA - Royal was used primarily in two tight end sets. Two of his targets came off play action fakes, one resulting in a touchdown from a power goal line formation. He caught both of his targets in the first half, but the pass thrown his way in the third quarter was an obvious drop. Week 5 at DEN - Royal failed to make an impact as Chris Cooley and James Thrash were used in his stead most of the game. He had an opportunity to catch a pass that would have led to an easy first down, but because of the weather conditions he was unable to hang on to the ball. Week 6 at KC - Royal was in the game as a blocking tight end. He didn’t catch a pass. Week 8 at NYG - Royal was targeted with the first pass of the game and dropped it, setting the stage for the rest of the game. Despite being targeted five times and seeing the field often because of an injury to Chris Cooley, Royal was not able to catch a pass. He displayed terrible hands and a jumpy nature, looking for defenders before securing the ball on a couple of occasions. Week 10 at TB - Royal returned from injury to start the game and was used mainly as a blocking tight end. He caught both passes thrown his way for short gains. Week 11 vs OAK - Royal was targeted in the end zone on a desperation heave from Mark Brunell. He was used mainly as a blocker. Week 12 vs SD - Royal’s name is mentioned here more for the negatives he had than anything. His offensive production was next to nothing, and he dropped easy passes all over the yard, including one for a potential first down late in the fourth quarter. Week 13 at STL - All of Royal’s four targets and like number of receptions came on the same drive in the third quarter. Week 14 at ARI - Royal caught two passes for 23 yards and had a third called back when he was unable to stay inbounds on a sideline catch. Week 15 vs DAL - Royal made an eight yard reception in the first quarter. He was hit hard on his next target. Week 16 vs NYG - Royal ran well after his only catch, gaining a first down. Week 19 at SEA - Royal officially caught three short passes for just three total yards. His first catch would have been better to have been a drop, since Royal caught a pass from a scrambling QB Mark Brunell that resulted in a six yard loss. Royal later added two short catches for nine total yards in the fourth quarter to bring his total yards to the plus side. He also lost his fourth catch, a six yard gain, due to a penalty. Sounds like almost as many drops as catches, I know its just for depth but we shouldn't sign this choad.
  4. Looked great all of last year too setting an ACC record for Tackles for loss. I'm not nessecarily talking about taking him with the 8th, we could trade down a few slots and try and pick up another 2nd.
  5. Fug no we're not drafting Jay Cutler! No QBs in the first two rounds!!!!
  6. Considering the only two DTs under contract are Anderson and Sape, and they suck major balls, Ngata would still be an option. I'd rather trade down and get Bunkley and another pick.
  7. Thats terrible, he was good player here in St. Louis and always seemed like a nice guy. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family. Hope he makes it and gets rid of that thing.
  8. His trade value was a hell of a lot higher at the end of last year then it is now, I still don't mind keeping him at that number. Your not going to get anything more than a mid second for Nate, and thats not fair value. I still hope we sign him long term; he had a terrible year last year but at least I've seen that he IS capable of playing MUCH, MUCH better.
  9. He's not a bad player, although he does disapear for series at a time sometimes, in all honesty I think he and Bernard will command about the same amount of money. If the type of DT we are looking for is one that gets after the Qb in the cover 2 we are playing, I'd much rather have Bernard. They are both 26 years old. Rocky Bernard Career Def. Stats By Year Ryan Pickett Career Def. Stats By Year
  10. How the fug does he know? Free Agency is not that predictable and there are a few other teams looking for a DT.
  11. 4 years $20 mil is what FSMW reported about a week ago on the Midwest Sports Report
  12. Why is he "The Neck"? No way that thing is bigger than Takeo's.
  13. According to the local media thats what "Big Grease" Ryan Pickett thinks he's worth and the reason the Rams aren't even trying to retain him. For that money I'll take some Rocky Bernard and use the draft to address the DT situation.
  14. What about Davin Joseph of OU, I would rather have him than the ones you mentioned. If Mangold is there in the 2nd he is an absolute MUST PICK, however I believe he will probably go late 1st. I'm all for drafting multiple O-lineman in this draft. Same for D-Line.
  15. Too many good WRs to take Brad Smith in the sixth? This is one of the weakest drafts in some time for WRs and IMHO you won't find one in the sixth, unless its an unknown like a Brad Smith, that will ever develop into a starting WR in this league. Thats exactly what I did in this mock
  16. Brees also had SLIGHT damage to the rotator cuff, but it was very minimal unlike Pennigton who tore the crap out his rotator cuff....TWICE. According to Brees's Doctor it was so slight, no suture was required in the repair and there should be no lasting effects. The labrum was the significant injury in his case, and IMHO he will be good to go at the begining at the season.
  17. I'm willing to bet he plays at the same level in 2006.
  18. Take it from someone who had the EXACT same operation on Tuesday of this week (my labrum was torn 80%, a lot more than Brees) its not even that bad. I expect to be 100% by the end of May. And while I'm not an NFL quarterback I'm very young and athletic and after a little physical therapy, I'll be lifting weights 5 days a week like I used too. IMHO Brees will be fine, and San Diego is making a big mistake letting him go. Not to mention, Rivers has looked less than impressive in my opinion.
  19. If he was due a roster bonus doesn't that come into play after June 1st. I thought I remembered hearing if we were going to cut him, we had till June 1st cuts to really decide. I could be wrong though, anybody know? Thats just long enough for this thing to get real ugly.
