  1. Sh*t tell that to VaBills, he still defends Bennie Anderson
  2. I'm hoping this contract (and most likely it is) is heavily backloaded, so he doesn't cost much over the next few years. Campbell was actually a pretty decent blocker so I'm not sure how much we really are gaining in that aspect. Those skins fans didn't seem to be in agreement about his blocking abilities, but apparently Marv is really high on that aspect of his game. Since the Bills haven't even played a snap under the new Marv era, and neither has Robert Royal I can't be pissed off....yet. Proove me wrong Robert!
  3. Fair enough, but I disagree with you about this being a good signing. I've come around to the signing of Triplett, and can actually say I'm happy about that. The Royal signing would have been a good one if it had come at HALF the price.
  4. You must not have read those 8 pages, huh? Its a bunch of Skin fans laughing at how much we paid for Royal...comments like "Ralph Wilson really must have been asleep in those meetings" & "Well, at least Cooley will get to touch the ball more" & " goodbye to a subpar rb tight end with terrible hands". Apparently he's a nice guy who keeps spirits high in the locker room but about 60% of those post bring up the fact that he can't catch sh*t. I don't mind signing him, we just WAY overpaid for a guy who has produced this little.
  5. Lewis ran slow but I don't know of any DTs who ran a 4.86 or better. He's much faster on the field.
  6. I hope you were being sarcastic. The Bill O'Reily police...armed with Loofas, now that is priceless.
  7. Actually, Bernard been pretty productive since he came into the league, something you can't say about Royal..... TE-Robert Royal Career Stats DT-Rocky Bernard Career Stats
  8. Uhh, he does. He's said on numerous ocassions that he wants to be the highest paid CB in the league and even stood by it after the season was over.
  9. If he's there at 8, I think we'll be drafting Ngata too. Where are these Marv comments coming from, was there a press confrence I missed?
  10. Why the fug did you waste your time joining a football board then?
  11. Yeah didn't they have to shut down the board when we brought in Gandy and Fat Bennie last year? Everyone was ecstatic about those signings
  12. You are right about Archuletta, besides not fitting our new system we shouldn't sign him because he sucks. Here was my take from another thread.... Adam Archuletta=Coy Wire, just injured more. We cut Milloy because he doesn't fit Jauron's cover 2 scheme and needs to play close to the line of scrimage to really be effective; Archuletta needs to do the same. He's not a good fit here and really, really sucks in coverage: ask any Rams fan and they will tell you the same. I don't know why everyone is so eager to get all these Rams cast offs...I'll take Pickett at the right price (not 20mil) but all the others...no thanks. You are also right about they type of DTs we are looking for, however Pickett and R. Bernard are 2 that do fit our new system. Man I hope we make a serious run at Bernard.
  13. Larry Tripplett....bottom of my want list as far as FA DTs Robert Royal.....didn't even know who this guy was before today We better at least TALK to Bernard, anyone know when Pickett is supposed to visit? For the money we gave Royal we could have made a serious run at someone like Joe Jurevicious instead. I know its day one, but I really am not to thrilled about these moves.
  14. with us I'm guessing? Not sure how I feel about this, any specifics yet?
  15. IMHO last years draft was pretty crappy outside of Outside Linbackers/situational DEs (Merriman, Ware, Johnson). Not to mention we got RP and KE with are first two picks. I'm not hating on Roscoe by any means but I think we all looked something like this when TD took him over an interior lineman.......

  17. Jimmy Williams, Tye Hill, Ashton Youboty, and Antonio Cromartie are all projected to be first rounders. Huff is a tweener but throw him into that group and thats five who might go in the first. Plus there are kids like Charles Gordon who can be had in the later rounds, who might not develop into stars like the others might but seem like they will definetley be able to contribute at the next level. I like this years CB class.
  18. I disagree, I like this class a lot better than last year's group. There seem to be some quality RBs,TEs, LBs, DTs, & CBs. I think this a relatively strong class when compared to 2005.
  19. I've been on the Mangold bandwagon for a few months...that kid is going to be a player. Problem is he's probably a late first rounder; I've said it before though, if he's there when we pick in the 2nd this is a MUST HAVE pick. Check out my mock below and substitute Mangold for Joseph..IMHO that would be one sweet draft!
  20. No way in hell is anyone giving up two 1sts for Nate! No way! I think he's worth a lot more than a mid second also but I just don't see anyone giving up a first in order to get him. By the way the draft is actually pretty DEEP at the CB position this year...especially if you add Huff considering he might play either corner or safety.
  21. I just ordered mine also. I wonder how many prospects they cover, hopefully its at LEAST the top 100-150.
  22. I didn't think he was a backup last year. If Jenkins can stay healthy, they are going to be near impossible to run on next year. Man, I wish we had that D-line!
