  1. I wouldn't say no way, but unlikley. It's a lot more feasible than us somehow landing Mario Williams (even with all the trade possiblities). IMHO we'd have to trade our whole draft to get Mario; people should just forget that. San Fran did spend a lot on Jonas but he was hurt all last year and they hate Kwame Harris, who has not lived up to expectations to say the least. And if Arizona gets VD (I love saying that) they would have some serious fire power on offense, as long as Kurt can get rid of the ball (he looked a lot better last year than he had the previous 3 seasons though).
  2. We shouldn't even get this started again, I could go all day joking about that thread. But what do I know, I didn't go to Tulane either. Alright back to the mock....Hawk would be SAWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! I thought it was just somebody BSing, but I he really did run a 4.38 at his pro-day, which is Lee Evans fast (although take it with a grain of salt because Ohio State is the one conducting the 40s). Anyway this kid is going to be one hell of a football player.
  3. But you are going to win with Bennie Anderson, Mike Williams, and Eric Moulds (the last two because they are grossly overpaid)? Peters is an ASSET to this crappy O-line and players like he and T. Mcgee, are the type of players we need to build this team around for the future. And what good is talent if you can't use it on the field...ala Mike Williams. IMHO Peters was a major discovery as an undrafted free agent and I am extremely happy he is Bill. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this issue.
  4. I'm glad you don't, you'd rely strictly on some scouting report from scoutsinc.com (like the one you provided saying Vernon Davis lacks elite speed as a TE). I blame most of the lack of running production on the interior of the line. Soon after Williams went down something happened to Chris V. because he just wasn't the same player the second half of the season. Peters CAN run block and did good job last year if you watch the film...the second Jets game was an incredible performance by such a young O-lineman, he absolutely dominated that game. Williams was a very good run blocker but was a liability as a pass blocker IMHO (especially when he falls on the QBs head after giving up a sack). I think the change of scenery and the fact that he knows he's being labled a bust might finally motivate him to live up to his potential..but IMHO it wasn't going to happen in Buffalo. Those bridges (with the fans, coaches, media) had all been burned, not to mention the daunting task of restructuring that massive contract. I hope he does well, but it was the right move to let him go.
  5. Sorry I was just joking. Should have thrown a smiley face at the end of my post. I thought it was a funny post also. Sometimes it hard to convey sarcasim on the wall.
  6. Nobody cares about your homo love affair gone wrong
  7. Its going to cost a lot more than a 3rd and a 4th to move up to number three. Plus if New Orleans signs Brees IMHO they'll be drafting Mario #2 overall. Pickett has stated around here that he wants a 4 year deal in the $20 mil range (a little overpriced for him if you ask me, but none the less it's what he thinks he's worth). I like your plan, I'm just not sure it will fall into place that easily. That would be nice though.
  8. Can't wait to see Romo lay some of these scrubs out. If you haven't seen this show, its pretty good. Starts at 10 on Spike TV.
  9. No way in hell would they give up the 7th pick for Nate
  10. Grant has been pretty productive in the past but only had something like 3 sacks last year. They also just lost Daren Howard to Philly. I think the theory here is that Mario is such a dynamic player, you don't pass on him on defense. Like Clements22 said it is Clayton so take it with a grain of salt.
  11. I agee that he's a dumbass...remember according to Clayton we HAD to make a decision by midnight before Free Agency started on Moulds but IMHO this makes sense for the Saints so I could see it happening.
  12. Hell no he's not going to do that...2 words....Child Support
  13. Just to clear things up that Roy Williams played at Oklahoma not Texas. The Roy Williams JRinAnnArbor was reffering to was the WR Roy Williams who played at Texas.
  14. Said if their QB issues are solved, they will take the best player available on defense and will draft Mario Williams. Although its by no means set in stone, I think we all probably agree with this (at least I do). Just for all you who had hopes of some how landing Super Mario, doesn't seem like he will make it out of the top 3 now let alone the top 5.
  15. Almost 80 post in 50 minutes..didn't take long to toast this choad. Ground Chuck do yourself a favor and us a disservice, go register a new screen-name and start over. Leave your All-middle school football team stories out too next time.
  16. I didn't get along with my beer after sophmore year so I switched.
  17. You too? I'm rehabbing one of those as we speak.
  18. You played two years of High School Ball, thats it? Generally if you were this "hell on wheels" type of player like ya say, Tulane would have given you the benefit of the doubt to rehab your injury. I'm calling Bull sh*t and then some, but we already knew that.
  19. No he blew out his knee CTM, go back and read the post buddy, you got me confused with this assclown. He wanted to know about the football experience I didn't have.
  20. Oh and by the way I play Madden 2006, I'm up to date .
  21. I played one year of college ball for an NAIA team....Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. Then I did so much ligament damage to my foot, I had to give up football and I transferred to the University of Missouri. What college did you play for, or was it just high school.
  22. Can we get your name. I want to go pull up an old Scouting Report on our buddy ground chuck. You top college prospect you.
  23. IMHO this a depth move for them, he'll factor into the rotation but I don't see him as a starter. I don't think this says anything about Jenkins career beng done, although it does sound like an insurance policy for him. If he does come back healthy, thats one hell of a D-line with some nice depth.
  24. Can we consolidate all these post, how many times do we have to hear the same crap?
