  1. I'd rather sign Clabo (plug him in at RT) and continue to build some continuity on this O-line by keeping Bell at LT. I thought Bell played well with the exception of 2 games, the Minnesota game and the final game against the Jets. I think he's still got a chance to develop into a pretty damn good LT.
  2. This made me spit my coffee all over my computer.
  3. Ok before you kill my first round pick. I think the draft could very well end up like this..... 1. Carolina - Fairley 2. Denver - Dareus I just don't see Denver drafting Peterson #2. When you look at the last decade there has never been a CB taken in the top 5 and even a stud like Revis went at #14. NFL GM's seem to put more stock in defensive lineman than they do CBs (maybe that will change with the blueprint the Jets have been successful with, idk). In my opinion, Fairley is the best player in the draft and Dareus is the 3rd....I have the Bills taking the 2nd best player in the draft (again only my opinion)...... 1. AJ Green WR Georgia 2. Cameron Heyward DE/DT OSU 3. Donte Mock OLB Nevada (more speed off the edge, Mock is lightning quick) 4. John Moffit OG Wisconsin 4. Rashad Carmichael, CB, Virginia Tech
  4. Yeah because just bc Maybin sucks that means every player who wasn't a four year starter sucks right? What about Piere Paul in last years draft? That guy was as green as the come and he lodged 4.5 sacks last year while not even starting a game. Yeah I know if he was so good then why didn't he start? Justin Tuck and Usi Umenyiora are their starting DEs and both had 11.5 sacks this year. I think he's going to be a stud. Anyway, almost all the underclassmen are extremely raw especially if they come from programs like Alabama where they might not even break into the starting lineup untill year 2 or 3 because they have 1st day NFL picks in front of them (like Dareus).
  5. I like Dareus a lot also. He is still really raw but the guy is a beast. Fairley or Dareus and I'm happy, I don't want to draft any of the rest at #3, although out of the bunch I'd be the least upset with Quinn. Who knows what will happen after the combine, you never know. Lets say one of the teams picking behind Arz falls in love with Gabbert, Newton or Mallet but is worried Arz might take him....there could be your potential trading partner. Just a thought. Oh and I know I'm a homer but I like Aldon Smith better than both Bowers and Claybourne.
  6. Aldon Smith is just as good as Bowers and could possibly be around in Rd 2.....although that Mock you posted from SI has him going at #8. I think he's going to blow up the combine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSG8ETv7_ts&feature=related
  7. Ok I know you are going to think I'm just homering it up again but like I said i want to draft defense, defense, defense and I'm not sold on any of these QBs. That being said, in regards to Gabbert's YPA.....that is a result of two things that aren't really his fault. The first being the amount of bubble screens Mizzou runs, they use those out of the spread all the time kind of like an extra running play. The second being Mizzou's 2010 team lacked a single WR with great speed. In the past Gabbert and Daniel had guys like Maclin and Danario Alexander, this year Gabbert essentially had 4 possesion targets. Going into this year I was all about Ryan Mallet, so I took almost every opportunity to watch him this year and my opinion of him did a complete 180. The guy is going to be garbage in the NFL, his release takes FOREVER. He's going to get killed in the NFL. Some have compared him to Drew Bledsoe, I'd agree except Bledsoe got the ball out about 10 times faster. Anyway, IMO Gabbert is the best QB prospect in this draft but he's still not a very good one at that. Just say no to a QB and pray we get a crack at Fairley or Dareus. If we don't get a crack at one of those two I'll be really upset. A lot of mock's have Denver taking Peterson with the second pick but the truth is NFL GM's don't put the same stock in CBs as they do D-lineman. In fact in the last 10 years there has never been a CB taken in the top 3. I'm really hoping Fairley is there at 3, if not I'm praying Marcell Dareus is there at 3.
  8. Ok I'm a Mizzou alumni and I've seen every one of his starts and I'm not sold on Blaine as an NFL QB. I do like him more than almost any QB in this draft though (I'm not impressed with this year's class). I'm not sure how you can tell anything about his leadership or will to win from a youtube clip and how can you say he is skinny...the guy is 6ft 5in and 240lbs. He hurt his ankle last year and played thru the injury, never missing a game. He tends to get happy feet from time to time and not step up into the pocket like he should but overall I think he's a solid prospect. I will say this though, he will be a much better QB than Mallet. Mallet's release takes forever and will get him killed in the NFL.
  9. Yeah well did you miss the Bills game 3 weeks ago when he torched us? Oh a lot those honorable mentions happen to be in 2002 when he was a freshman starting QB in the Big 12; you must suck if SI names you Honorable Mention All American as a freshman QB . Thats cool if you don't watch College football, just don't act like you know what the hell your talking about when it comes to the draft.
  10. I watched Fairley about 5-6 times this year and all he did was stand out. Yeah he plays a little stupid some times and gets flagged a lot for personal fouls but there is not another DT/DE even in his league that I see. How the hell do you not stand out when you get 12 sacks and 25 TFL as DT in the SEC? Oh and I like Acho a lot too but a lot of mocks I've seen have him going in the top half of the second round, which is where I believe he'll go.
  11. Honestly I don't want him as a Bill. Now that Luck is going back to school I think you'll see at the combine that Gabbert has the best tools to be an NFL QB but he nevered really has seemed to put it all together. That being said I don't like any of the QBs in this draft really, I'm still on the fence about Cam Newton though. I think Newton could be a star but I just can't figure out if what he does will translate to the NFL. I think Mallet and Locker are garbage, Mallet has about the slowest release I've ever seen and I've never been a fan of Locker.
  12. Go to geeks.com or www.tigerdirect.com for great deals. I just ordered a 32 inch LCD 720p for my monitor, I was going to go with a 42 inch but some people told me that would be too big bc I'd be sitting close to it and it would hurt my eyes. I run dual monitors at work and couldn't go back to a regular monitor....you should either look into dual monitors or one huge one. As far as brands go I don't think it matters, I have Westinghouse (off brand) and Samsungs at work....can't tell the difference.
  13. Something tells me they might both go somewhere in the mid to late second. I bet Moffit is a fast riser in the months to come.
  14. Check out this video and watch LG #74 John Moffit, this guy is just blowing people up.... If he's around in like Rd 3-4 I'd love to see us pick him. I have a feeling by draft time though somebody is going to snatch him up in Rd 2. I also wouldn't mind some John Clay....that guys a beast.
  15. How many CBs have gone in the top 5 in the last 10 years? The answer would be 0. Teams don't place as high of a premium on CBs as they do D-lineman. Mark my words....there is no way Peterson or Prince go in the top 4 picks.
  16. Gabbert's a lot more likely to go 5th overall then in the 5th Round.
  17. I don't think they'll draft Green, the drafted Demaryus Thomas last year in Rd 1 and Brandon Lloyd played lights out last year.
  18. Don't hate it, don't love it either. Really want Fairley, hopefully that happens somehow.
  19. What do you guys not get here. There is no Tackle to take at 3 and we have less of a chance at a Fairley or Bowers because they might now go 1 & 2.
  20. Yep, Carolina tanked the whole year just so they could get Luck, a kid who might not even enter the draft. Why in the hell did they waste a second round pick on Clausen in the first place?
  21. That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Ok so lets assume Luck doesn't get hurt or totally crap the bed next year and is still regarded as a top 1 or 2 QB. In order to get him we would have really suck again this year and not make any progress towards being a better team. You would want that? And how would Gailey and Nix have regret about Luck being drafted 2 picks ahead of them. You'd have regret if you had a player in your lap, like Haloti Ngata and instead pick Donte Whitner. That's when you have regret. Anyway, all it means is that every other player moved up one spot on Denver and Carolina's draft board since Luck was clearly the consensus number 1. I'm not saying Denver would have drafted him but if he was there at 2, they more than likely would have gotten a King's Ransom for trading that pick. If he would have entered the draft there is no way he wouldn't be drafted before us and now we have a worse shot at getting a guy like Fairley.
  22. God I hope not.....he's gonna get killed with that slow release.
