  1. If Crabtree is making these demands, then Parker would be smart to quit being his agent.
  2. I don't buy this at all. Just because the team will have more money doesn't mean they will spend it on players. Even if they did that doesn't mean the team will reach the SB. (see Washington) This team isn't mediocre just because Ralph won't spend, it's mediocre because of bad personel decisions and lousy coaching. This team has talent, most experts will admit that. The trouble is the talent isn't used correctly or is bunched up in one or 2 positions. Raising the ticket prices won't help this team make better decisions, it will just give them more money to throw at the Royal's, Dockery's, Walker's, and Fowler's of the NFL.
  3. Those who can't do....teach.
  4. I was begging to see one through out the preseason. You can blitz a 5 reciever set but someone is going to be wide open right from the snap. Reading the blitz is key, and something I think Trent can handle.
  5. Wouldn't it be cool if someone put an expansion team in Dallas or Washington? Where there ticket prices were low and pizza was only $20. They would probably fail, but for a while the JJ and DS might lose some cash flow.
  6. I think the O starters should keep playing until they score a TD. Even if the game is over, the lights are out, and the Steelers and crowd have gone home. They stay until they score. We may never see them again.
  7. I tried the "View Demo", downloaded and installed the software, but all I get is a screen that has the play controls, but nothing happens. Any suggestions?
  8. The Bills will not cut Kelsay. They don't have the kahonies. Say goodbye to Copeland Bryan. Ellis makes it because he is only in his 2nd year. So it's Maybin, Kelsay, Schobel, Ellis and Denny. They may have the fortitude to cut Denny and keep Bryan but I doubt it. It will be the same with Stupar. The politics of football.
  9. Am I the only one who thinks the away jerseys look like the old Houston Oiler’s away jerseys? I swear they changed the stripes on the sleeves just a tad, but over all they look the same. I guess I need to see them in person?
  10. Based solely on your comments (which I think are pretty accurate) it appears that this draft's first round wasn't very good. You indicate that only 14 of the 32 first rounder’s have played up to the draft position. 12 have played well below their draft station, and 6 have played at an average starter's level. I would think first round picks would have a better than 44% success rate?
  11. I hope McGee isn't gone next year, because that means we'll be drafting 3 more DBs next year. You know it takes 3 DBs to replace 1 in Dick's mind. (You knew a post like this was coming I just wanted to be the first.)
  12. The Turk-ey shoot offense
  13. Great point! You are probably right. It is most likely the same with most teams. I'm not really over-reacting I just thought of it and figured it might be an interesting topic.
  14. I knew there were more. I should have remembered those. Thanks
  15. Is it just me or do the Bills rookies seem to get injured an inordinate amount? I can think of a few examples of rookies who were to be impact players that went down there first year. Losman, Poz, Hardy, you could even make a case for Edwards. I’m I missing anyone else, and does this seem extreme or about normal for team’s rookies? This is me knocking on my head of wood in the hopes that it won’t happen again this year.
  16. I do not think selling out, or waiting lists, or any of that has much to do with what kind of fans you have. Dallas has probably the largest fan base in the USA of coarse they're going to have waiting list. I had a friend in school that became a Dallas fan only because they won the super bowl. I soon realized that most of Dallas' fans jumped on the bandwagon that way. I'm sorry, but if you root for a team just to stroke your ego and not for any real dedication to team then you're not a real fan.
  17. You guys seem to be thinking the same as me. I realize you can't fill all your needs in one draft, and that you need to try and select guys that are the best at your pick. I was watching the NFL Network and they mentioned that NE sets they're draft board by groups of players. Meaning that they target a group of players rather than a single player at a certain position in the draft. For example they may have a short list of guys they are hoping will be available with their first pick in round 2. When their pick comes up they see which players are still there and select the best out of that group. This way they get the best player available at a position of need. This just makes so much sense to me. I just can't believe that's what the Bills do. I think they make one long list of players and select the player that is rated highest at that point. Also it make you have to trade up to get a player that you think will be gone when you select rather than select what come to you. Just my opinion as messed up as it may be.
  18. I do not post too often and I rarely start a thread, but I can't help feeling a little uneasy since the draft. I like our draft overall, but I seem to remember what are needs were before the draft, and find myself thinking those are still needs. Before the draft I believed we needed, DE, OLB, OT, OG, DT, TE. So I asked myself "If another draft was held today, what would be our positions of need?" I came up with OLB, OT, DT, and another DE. 4 of the 6 positions I thought we needed before the draft. I'm not confident in the safety to LB experiment that is being planned, and I would really like another DE for security. I really think we need another DT next to Stroud badly. OT is not as scary to me as it is to others here, but I still wish we could have gotten a "pure" LT either in the draft or FA. I'm hoping all this is 9 years of paranoia, and that the Bills will be fine. Anyway I thought I'd ask the questions to the masses and see how they would answer... "If another draft was held today, what would be our positions of need?"
  19. Thanks a lot. Now I'm really depressed!
  20. 6 DB's in two draft years? That's about a DB every 3rd pick. Classic!
  21. Yeah they should just end the draft at round 4.
  22. Why do teams trade with the pats? That's what they always want. Why give them what they want?
  23. We have an idenity. Do everything possibly to get within field goal range, then sit on the ball and kick.

  25. The one thing I could never understand is, the first team to draft can sign their pick before the draft even starts. Why don't the teams that follow make their picks also? Is there some rule that says only the first pick can sign early? If not, it seems like teams would have more time to make deals. It would take some of the "event" out of draft day, but it would take the pressure off the first few picks anyway. Just one of those things that makes no sense to me. Enlighten me if you can.
