So True! How many years should we give a head coach and GM to build a playoff team? This is Year 2. If it really is a 3 year plan we should be just a player or 2 away from the playoffs. This young team better look pretty impressive this year! Here's hoping...

There is a serious problem with this plan. The rookie contracts are now only 4 years long, and we don't re-sign our players.

Living in the Carolinas I can tell you personally that people here are not concerned. In fact they don't even care. The panthers game are an event that's all. Fans here are not the least bit passionate about them. A quieter stadium you'll never find.

I don't want to be too pessimistic but these preseason distractions have me feeling pretty low. Here's mine... We do not get a win until after the buy. 2 weeks to prepare helps us beat a bad Washington team. We beat Miami in December. That's it folks! Make me want to cry.

Let's eliminate extra points, field goals, kick-offs and punts, and rename the game Fieldball.

I have no problem with not game planning for Denver. I have a real problem with not trying to stretch the field more! Denver was playing press coverage which you don't run slants and quick passes on. Even McKelvin could cover a WR for under 3 seconds. Denver was all over our WRs because they didn't worry about any deep passes. Also we have not shown that we can play mistake free football, so trying to eat up the clock with short stuff is going to lead to FGs not TDs. The quick passing game may have been the plan because the o-line was a running base blocking package, but I hope we see more than the reincarnation of Kelly Holcomb in the next game.

Even if the Bills get the 1st pick in the draft they will not select Luck. He is not the type of QB that Chan prefers. He's a drop back QB, and Chan wants an option QB type. One's that are athetes not QBs. Even if they do draft Luck out of pure fan pressure, Luck will do everything in his power to end up on a different team. I truly believe that Luck will not be a Bill no matter what the circumstance.

Why bother coming back from commericial for kick offs anymore? Just to see the kick go through the EZ. Why don't they just start everyone on the 20 and be done with it?

We get Dan Patrick here in SC and I wish we didn't. If he has any chance what so ever to talk about Basketball or himself he will. You'll even hear him ask other sport guys if they can dunk just so he can get back on the basketball topic. And he loves to be a name dropper and spends most of his shows bragging about himself who he's hanging out with. Lots of fluff and very little sports.

For some reason, Andy Levitre was working with the backups at LG, while Chad Rinehart worked with the starters in his spot. I can't see this lasting very long, unless he moves to right guard to replace Urbik. Kyle Williams owned him several times and then couldn't get anything going on the left side.

Why did the FO not attempt to get someone else after Clabo took a pass? Obviously they see there is a weekness at right tackle. It just doesn't make sense to not improve even if it is for just one year. I look at the team and the biggest most glaring need is the right side of the o-line. That's 2 guys. I have read many here saying that we are still another year away. Well what positions other than those 2 need serious upgrades? If you are thinking like me and you belive that 2 offensive linemen might be the difference between playoffs or not, then you get those FA's even if its for one year. You can still draft 2 linemen next year can't you?

I agree with the OP. But we need to take it one step farther, cut all the WR's also. No need to have little guys running around down field while our QB's are running the option. Yeah I know it not an option if there isn't anyone to throw to, but we could use TE's to be the "threat" of a pass. OK our TE's and the threat of a pass shouldn't be used in the same sentence. So forget the TE's we'll just put an extra tackle on each end of the line for more blocking. Oh crap our tackles suck too. Man this plan is falling apart fast. I've got it the wing-t run option run.

My final take on Evans and all capable players we have lost one way or another... If you are playing cards and your hand is made up of an Ace, a King, a 9, a 6, and a 2, you don't throw away the King just because you want to give the non-face cards a chance to play. You throw the 2 away and hope to get a card better or equal to the cards you currently have. Otherwise known as building your hand. The Bills throw away their upper/ middle cards before they have better cards to replace them???????

I predict the Travis Brown with complete 15 of 17 with 3 TDs for a QB rating of 138 and have TSW hair on fire for the next Gibran Hamdan.

I've been questioning Evans impact on our team for a couple of years now. The only way this makes any sense is if we are planning on packaging this measly 4th round pick with another pick and move up in the draft. Possibly to improve their first round position or for another 2nd rounder then I'll understand the trade, but right now the trade is confusing.

It would be nice if Easly could stay healthy enough for us to find out how fast he is.

I've been questioning Evans for a couple of years now. Unfortunatly I don't think we have another burner that can take his place on the team right now. Roscoe's fast but has trouble getting jammed at the LOS which is why he plays the slot. All the other WR are posession type receivers. We need to be able to stretch the field some.

I gave up my Sat dish 2 years ago and now watch all my TV shows on-line (HDMI hook up to my living room TV). When it comes to the games, I'll stream more than one at a time. I turn the sound down and minimize all but the one I'm currently watching, this way if it goes down I have a back-up ready. The picture quality is not HD, but it is watchable. Note that I do pay for very fast internet service.

out of all the assumptions I really hope #6 comes true! Just one season can we end the season with the same starting o-line? It would be nice to actully be able to evaluate the talent we have before it ends up on IR. So here's hoping for at minimum #6 comes true!

If you think of it in terms of the number of plays each player will run a game I'd have to say Edwards. Smith might get say 4 or 5 plays at wildcat per game and return at worst 5 kick-offs. I'll be pretty surprized if he plays any WR at all. So maybe 10 plays vs 40+ plays minimum.

I grew up with the white standing buffalo helmets but I always felt they looked like the artist couldn't come up with a back ground so he left the canvas white. So I prefer a colored background helmet, but I do love the new unis.

I am a very optimistic person in life, and use to be with the Bills up until about 12 years ago. Since then I've gone from optimistic, to scratching my head, to confused, to angry, to you've now got to prove you care about winning. I can only be misled for so long until I finally stop believing the company line and have to see the proof. I want to optimistic, I really do, but I reserve my blind faith for those deserving of it.

The only logical reason I can come up with is that Wanny wasn't here last year and wants to see for himself what Moats can or cannot do in the middle.
