  1. With the first pick in the 2014 NFL draft the Buffalo Bills select...Hmmm?... the card says they would like to defer to 2015 because there still isn't any QB worth the first pick in the draft.
  2. We trade our first this year and next to Washington for Cousins.
  3. Very rare does a player "test the waters" and not leave the team he is on. Once a player feels he's not worth the extra effort to keep them, pride kick in and they walk. Letting him go is worst than letting Byrd go IMHO. He's been the only foundation this o-line has had since he came to buffalo. Played where ever they have asked and held his own. Guards are supposedly easy to find, but football players aren't.
  4. Did anyone else notice that no other QB is taken in round #1? So if we pass on Geno does that mean he'll fall to round 2? Most likely someone will trade up into the bottom of round one with the Paties giving them extra picks and take him. !@#$$%% Paties!
  5. Here is my mock draft. Disclaimer: I have never and should never do a mock draft. 1. Matt Barkley 2. Ryan Nassib 3. Tyler Bray 4. EJ Manuel 5. Zac Dysert 6. Collin Klein One of them should show some promise. This years QB class is lacking, but I do not see much improvement in next years class. Arron Murray? Taj Boyd? Not sold yet! Anyone else? I can't wait until 2015.
  6. It sounds to me like he was trying to temper those rabid fans that want to take a QB at 8 more matter what. They know there isn't a QB worthy and he is doing preventive damage control.
  7. It seems every year we do this. What I don't understand is why NOW. Are they due roster bonus'? We have no idea who we will get in the draft or in FA. Even if we did there is no guarentee they are going to perform well. Why not wait until after the draft at least to make sure we get the guy we are targeting? I don't really care about them being able to find a job on another team and neither should the Bills so that shouldn't factor in. My point is they are the best we've got (not saying much) until someone takes their spot. And don't give me this BS about "anybody could take their place". If that were so then why weren't they replaced during the season last year? I just don't understand the timing?
  8. Excellent. Thank you sir! I knew there had to have been, but I couldn't think of who. I was more surprised that no one else commented on the orginal post I commented on. I just couldn't argue because I couldn't think of anyone. Now I can.
  9. Wow I read through all the posts and I can't believe someone didn't comment on this. I can't argue the fact because I can't remember the last black player to restructure. Pay cut wise.
  10. The OP is absolutly correct I really had a hard time understanding her. Being a musician, I believe that the sound man had way too much mid-range on her voice. This tends to make the sound muddy in large venues. Not knowing much about her (not my style of music), I did find it rather interesting that in many of her songs her back up singer sang the chorus' while she just danced. Rap artist do this a lot for obvious reasons, but she can sing so it seemed weird.
  11. Twitter, Facebook those are more personal than TSW. This place is a fan forum for posting your opinion of a player performance. It is what it's for. If a player comes here and reads something he doesn't like that is on him for coming into our "home". But a player's twitter or facebook account is their home, and is on par with sending hate mail. If you want to tell the player himself how you feel about him, say it to their face don't hide behind your keyboard. If you want to vent about a player to your fellow fans your in the right place.
  12. Well if history really does repeat itself then... Marcus Lattimore RB South Carolina It's been too long since we drafted a RB with a major knee injury in the first round. Seriously, I don't want us to draft a QB anyways because selecting one of these guys is like asking what color Pinto do I want to buy. So I say Keenan Allen WR Cal.
  13. A former scout on the Ross Tucker show this morning I think his name was Rush Lindy??? said that after talking with other scouts at the senior bowl that it may turn out that Nassib may go #1 to the Chiefs. He also said that he most likely will not make it out of the top 10. For what it's worth...
  14. As much as it makes me throw up in my mouth... Paties over 9ners. I would like to see Tony Gonz get a ring before he retires, but Atlanta just doesn't have the horses.
  15. I agree that we need some play makers on D. But I have also observed that when the opportunity to make a tackle was there we were pretty sure at it. The thing I noticed about this D was we were so out of position during a play, and never generated any pressure. Those things I believe were coaching issues more than talent. This is coming from a comfirmed pessimist.
  16. Any team that has never won it before! Out of that group of Falcons, Vikings, Seahawks, Bengals. I'm an AFC guy so I guess the Bengals.
  17. Doesn't Lovie use the Tampa 2 D? Isn't it true that TEs eat the Tampa 2 for lunch? Do we really want to make it easier for NE to score? I would have thought that we had seen enough of that D with tricky Dicky?
  18. It doesn't, but it does demostrate what a week QB class this is. When a Freshman QB wins the trophy and a LB comes in second and the only other QB invited isn't even in the conversation for draft potenial... it seems to indicate some strong evidence against the class in general. I think Fitz greatest weakness is he doesn't elevate the play of his teammates. Barkley gives me the same fear. Smith's stats are impressive, but I've also watched him play, and he does not seem to be more than a deep ball wing and prayer thrower aka Losman 2. Crucify if you want, that's my observation. Draft a QB in the second round or later, just don't waste a pick in round 1 on these guys.
  19. I have such a hard time believing any QB coming out this year is worth a first round pick. This class reminds me so much of the class from 2 years ago. A lot of Ponders, lockers, and Gaberts, in this class. I also have difficulty with the fact that we are talking about QBs that that didn't get any heismen consideration.
  20. Yes because the QB class is so good this year that a freshmen won the heisman and only 3 players were even invited to NY. The times I watched G. Smith all he was doing is throwing it as long as he could and the WR was so wide open all he had to do was adjust his route which they almost always had to do. Not impressed. Get a QB but not in the first.
  21. This is good stuff. I have friends in the UK that rag on me all the time about why we call our sport football.
  22. Let's just change the name of the game from football to airball. Heck we already apply the foot to the ball less than a quarter of the plays. All the NFL wants to see is the ball in the air.
  23. Seem pretty clear to me why we haven't drafted a QB ... Being that an early round QB brings with it great scrutiny, selecting a bust can be a career ender. Better to be completely sure than risk getting fired. The only sure bets in the past 3 years were not available at our picks. No guts no glory.
  24. Hate the idea. It is a lot easier to convert 15 yards than recover an onside kick.
