  1. QB, QB, QB Hey it had to be said.
  2. People do develop at different rates, but how long do you want to wait to see if someone is a bust? My scenario gives them 2 years to show that they have something worth investing in.
  3. To draft a QB every year you have to keep 3 QBs on the roster. For example if we had been using this model right along we would have the current starter, current back up, last years draftee on our roster right now. We draft a QB in a round where ever there is good value. In training camp the coaches "should" know by now if the back up is going to supplant the current starter. He has been in the system for 2 years now. If he does the starter moves to the back up. Whomever the back up is now is in competition with last year's rookie. If Last year's rookie is better the back up is let go. If the back up is better then last year's rookie must be better the this year's rookie or he is gone. Coaches should be able to tell pretty quickly if a QB has something. I mean Rex was saying pretty early in camp that Tyrod had a good chance to win the starting job.
  4. I was thinking how brutal next year's schedule was going to be also so I looked at next year's schedule team's record this year. This year our opponents had a record of 130 - 126. Next year's opponents record is 133 - 123. The 3 game difference is the Cards, Seahawks and Steelers. So from a pure numbers stand point it doesn't look as bad as I first thought.
  5. Totally disagree! I've been to Carolina games and it's nothing more than an event to socialize at. The fans could careless what's going on on the field. It's not like they don't know about football, but college football reigns supreme. All fan bases will jump on a winner no matter what sport it is. That's all that's happening here now.
  6. I think the reason you ask a question like this is the same reason they allow reporters in the locker room directly after games. If they waited until a day later the players would hold stuff back and change their opinions. You want the quick emotional response to get a gauge of the fans feelings now. If you wait a month and something else has taken the lead story in the Bill news the responses will be subdued.
  7. Can Anyone give me an NFL's perspective on Pharoh Cooper I understand he is declaring? He was the best player on an awful South Carolina Team.
  8. Oh great. I have no love for Rex, but starting over is the only thing this franchise has done consistently that is except lose. How about for once we get some continuity for a change. If I'm the owner I let his contract play out for better or worst. Of course this would be against company policy.
  9. Please all remember that throw next year during the draft
  10. You don't need a snowplow to plow a Walmart parking lot, you can use a shovel, but it certainly makes things easier.
  11. I wish I could post a youtube video... the ESPN animated commercial where we recover a fumble and run it back as time expires only to have the refs say we stepped out of bounds at the 30.
  12. Our last drive was the type of drive losers do. Dropped sure TD and then. Missed field goal. It gave the Paties the spark they needed.
  13. Their having trouble hearing? Hmmm. Could there be something wrong with the headsets?
  14. I still hold fast to my plan to beat the Pettifoggers... Go for it on 4th down every time. We can't stop them so we have to win in a track meet. Our game plan changes because we know we are going for it so 3rd down can be more conservative if needed.
  15. Is Jim Nantz a Jets fan? When Marshal scored he gave out a celebratory yes. As the game went on and the Bills were running the clock out, his tone was pretty melancholy.
  16. My strategy for beating the Pats... Never punt or kick fgs. Not even on 4th and long from our own 1. Ok that's a little extreme, but if beyond our 40 then I'm all for it.
  17. You do know that the Dolphins had an extended week also? They played a Thursday night game.
  18. Without a QB you have no team. The supporting cast can be great and the QB sucks>>>you lose. 1 Player makes all the difference! DRAFT EARLY AND OFTEN!
  19. I'm confused. (Nothing new) Our O is a MASH unit and our D can't stop a 3 year old on a tricycle. The D is pretty much the same personnel as last year. The only change is coaching. The Rex hire was a Pegula decision not Whaley's. If you want to rag on someone...
  20. If I'm the GM here would be my draft philosophy. Draft a QB in one of the first 2 rounds until you know proof positive that you have your guy. Then keep drafting QB's in every 3rd round in hopes of getting that diamond in the rough to either take over the current QB or for trade bait. Sure you lose out on some good bit players, but without a QB nothing else matters.
  21. I'll say this about the stream...the commercials are always clear.
  22. It's bad enough to have to watch this mess, but to have to watch it all pixelated
  23. I don't believe a healthy Taylor wins yesterday. We cannot win track meets.
