Uh, Willis is the guy who is playing with broken ribs right? I am not a medical expert, but I'm thinkin you need more than 2 weeks to heal broken anything... I'm agreeing with KTFABD on this one fer sure. Willis is a valuable football player for this team. He is worth the dough we are paying for him right now. Next year is next year. Right now, is right now. And right now we got nothing to complain about.

I'm wondering, if there is a position where a first rounder (high first rounder) is a can't miss proposition. Maybe running back? Linebacker?
-
It is just coincidence. After 4 more games new coincidences will appear and "experts" will have it all figured out then too. Let's face it. Like him or not, the sample size is WAY too small to start making statements like, "oh he stinks in beginning's of games but he is ok in the 8:00-13:00 minute period of the 3rd quarter. It's the same guy isn't it? it's like 5 plays later. sheesh.

when was the last time the bills gave up 0 sacks??
PatPatPatSack replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My take is what really happened was that the two over the top touchdown passes. Puts the fear of God into the defense. And I noticed that (from the radio I should say I noticed), the jags were only rushing 4. Some teams bring the house, until you show that you can beat that. Maybe the real "coming of age" is making a few of those big time plays. And with that pass play to Evans, even though it is a pick, I think it still has the same effect. Unless you are Baltimore and have no fear, you are going to have to respect JP's arm. -
Ok Armchair coaches..... What do you do..

Relax, it was only the Texans...

i don't know. After the catch, he snubs Losman and runs right to the sidelines. Leaves Losman to run all over the field looking for someone to butt heads with. What a selfish player. I think I hear the bickering starting. We should have gotten Terrell. He would have made that catch. I know this because I hear from my friend Charlie Soprano, that there is a lot of dissention on the squad. Like about that call to punt on 4th down. Seems as though the offensive line thinks that spikes is washed up and that they should have been able to make the first down. From what I understand, this is one unhappy bunch.. I think were doomed.. -
Someone please tell me again, why Jax isn't

i don't know where mitholidian verginia is, but my guess is it's a heck of a commute. But golly, what's with all the nasties today? We won, and our "QB of the Future" showed a pulse, and well, we won. I'm happy. Sorry to hear you're not. We now return you to your regularly scheduled rant. -
I Just Watched the Game Again....
PatPatPatSack replied to cåblelady's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You see, she enjoyed the game. Had a good ending and a great story line. She wants to see it again. Thinks it will be enjoyable again. A lot of fans like to dwell on the good things. It is kinda why they call it entertainment. There are a lot of those types around here. Not exactly rocket science here now is it? Maybe you should turn on WGR - where reading comprehension isn't such a valued skill. -
When bad decisions work out....
PatPatPatSack replied to AnthonyF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not too sure that passing was a stupid decision for the Txans. After all the guy had just gone 22 of 23. That is as close to a sure thing as you get. Certainly a reasonable call. 22 of 23 all for positive yards is fairly perfect. -
but to continue the thought, for example, what is the percentage "right" for a 6th round pick? compare a 38% success rate to a 8% success rate (I'm guessing). that is huge. Because you only get to carry 3 QB's. So you can't pick 6 QB's and hope for the best. Besides you only get 1 6th rounder. Perhaps, the success rate of say a linebacker at 6th round is 40%, why waste that pick on a 8% QB. Lastly, you put the same resources into a 6th rounder as you put in a second rounder - well close to the same. So you are already limited as to what resources you HAVE to put into your QB. My point in summary. If you are picking a QB in the 6th round to be your guy, your starter, then you are so unlikely to be successful that you might as well NOT. Now maybe we should also do this for free agent qbs?

Could you see Seneca Wallace as the qb
PatPatPatSack replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope I'm not critizing your quote, but that Quran thing, sounded pretty far out.. Turns out it is. Totally made up. I guess it's been doin the internet rounds lately. -

Whaa?? no Dan Darragh? And what about Preston Riedlehuber? His record is spotless. Every pass he threw was a TD. -
Whoa! NFL Apparel commercial

Anyone see it in a market other than Buffalo? You know it's not that hard to make special commercials for specific markets. -
Let's see the real progress of this Bills unit.

Or, if he goes to 4 straight super bowls, gets into the hall of fame and attends numerous pro bowls, He still scuks because he can WIN THE BIG ONE>> -
upwards of 3 times more likely. Another way to say that might be this: Pick your QB early. Since you would need to select 3 times to get the same likely hood of picking once. And since you get to spend 2-3 years finding out what you got, you might go on average 10 years between good QB picks. My thought is that unlike any other position - especially a RB for instance, a QB takes the most time of any position to find out what you got. And since you only get one position , and that spot takes such nurturing, you should always spend your first top pick on a QB if you need or will need one. thoughts?

Marv's "high motor, high character ...
PatPatPatSack replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm with ya till we get to the part about winning coaches. How do we win coaches? Marv does a Weekend in Vegas? I say we get those kids from MIT to help us win some coaches. Those guys had a system... maybe that's gonna be in your book? -
Belicheck: Good coach, poor parent?

From one of YOUR links - this interesting take on the drug. " Cannabis has an effect on the heart, similar to the effects of exercise. It may be just as good for the heart as going to the gym" All right boys and girls. Today we are cancelling gym.... -
Belicheck: Good coach, poor parent?
PatPatPatSack replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
See just goes to show you. When you are a losing coach they threaten your family (like a former Bills coach). But when you put a winner on the field; "here you go - have a doob!" PS Question: What is the most common word said whilst smoking pot? answer: Ear. as is ".........uuussssssssssssss, ear..." -
Weighing in on the "Good Drew". I asked a coach if he could get a picture signed by Drew that I bought at the OP Post Office with a cancelled stamp and all. Asked to have him sign it to my son. He returned with it signed "To >>>" Said he was real cool about it. In my opinion, players who sign autographs know that they are giving away free money since lots of time folks get the autograph and then eBay it. So for them to be cool about it I think says lots about their character. For Drew to rag on the Bills after they let him go, says lots about his humanity. Put me down for the Good Drew. (course I like Flutie too, and most folks around here call him the devil and cancer). Now the weird one, was Todd Collins.....

How Perfect Was The "Ref" Fumble
PatPatPatSack replied to Buffalo Baumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes when I watch the replay at full speed, I am amazed that the guys have the time to react, much less time to think. Stuff out there is happening FAST. Someone time that play, Kelsay did not have anywhere near 2 seconds to put on the brakes. Now a helmet to helmet tackle like they put on Royal, I believe, that can be prevented. But of course that wasn't called. How much of a factor does the whistle have in all this? Does the whistle blow when his Marcias butt hits the ground? And can all the guys hear it? -
How To Build A Winner
PatPatPatSack replied to bostonbillsfan2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So in summary, what everyone has said so far, our collective football/sports genius is - "get better players!" Life really is a lot simpler than it looks. The only really complicating factor is that the other 31 teams have figured this out too... -

Keep in mind that the last 3 weeks we have played the two teams in the Super Bowl this year. And between them have a single loss I think. we've never looked well against Super Bowl teams. Even when we was one... Bye week next week, and we are realitivly healthy. Still have lots more football to go. The team ain't all that good. We knew it coming in. They're about what we thought at this stretch. Only the Detroit game was a bummer, really. It really ain't all that bad>>>> -

An ignorant troll, and ignorant of what every single board member here knows. Rehashing arguments made far better, by better. You might also take one of his famous (though not to you) suggestions and "get out of town". Levy also has a good one for you, but I'm not telling...
