Wtf is the angry emoji for this one? Absolutely awful that this SOB will lie so bald faced. Still have a copy of the order he gave. He can & will lie; hopefully people continue to call him out on that.

You don't honestly expect a follow up question, do you?
-
That makes the question even more annoying then. The response to that question and the response to the question about opposing "corporate racial sensitivity training" (aka the Marxist program of CRT) were the 2 biggest hits 45 took IMHO, because although he was on the right side of both issues he didn't come close to saying what he needed to say & for anyone watching that was getting their 1st exposure to these questions would hear pretty much the opposite of what 45 meant. Yes, he said "sure" a couple of times, which meant yes he disavows them & has done so repeatedly in the past, but it APPEARED like he didn't really want to do so. And that, IMHO, was because he wanted to talk about Antifa & couldn't keep the 2 thoughts fully clear & separate from his brain to his mouth.
-
Would agree w/ this. But, make no mistake, Biden showed 8 years ago that he'd have been talking over 45 whether 45 was playing nice or playing himself. My take is still that neither won the debate (it's hard to win a debate when you can't articulate complete thoughts & neither man can) but 45 might have lost it. Though getting Biden to tacitly admit he'll stack the SC if he can and (paraphrasing here) that Antifa is an idea and not an organization (try telling that to people who had their businesses burned down) were a couple of solid body blows.
-
Not disagreeing at all. But did you find the former Vice President calling the current President "a clown" and talking over him presidential or entertaining?
-
Can't believe it went over well w/ Pelosi, Shumer, or 44 either.

Final Vote—All States, Progress in counting
Taro T replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But causing alarm among Democrat strategists only 11% percent of those requesting mail-in ballots were deceased. Said one anonymous strategist "if we've lost the dead, you can put a nail in our campaign's chances." -
Pretty sure he didn't say he was "the head of the Democrat party." Rather he said he IS the Democrat party.

Biden told some truth & some lies. That admitting he plans to pack the SC will become an issue should he ever admit it is true. That he will raise taxes is true. That Hunter's $3.5MM payment has been investigated & he's been cleared of any wrong doing is false. That he can raise taxes by $4TRILLION & not devastate the economy is false. That repealing the recent tax cuts won't increase taxes on the Middle class is false. That he doesn't support the GND is false. It's on his friggin' website. 45 is his own worst enemy at times. Absolutely. But the guy you support has been a liar ever since he entered the public arena. And his LYING is what forced him out of the presidential race the 1st time he ran.

Disappointed in Chris Wallace, though it was not unexpected. Thought 45 had 3 bad moments. Chris Wallace framed CRT as "racial sensitivity" & 45 said he was opposed to it because it was un-American (& it is), but he needed to point out that CRT goes WAY beyond sensitivity training & it is racist indoctrination. Also, thought saying he condemns the KKK would've been a slam dunk easy thing to say as he's done that many times in the past. And, he came across as angry on the question about mail in voting & waiting for an outcome. It was another item that IMHO he is on the right side of the issue but his inability to articulate a complex thought bit him on that one. Had Biden been fact checked / stopped short by the moderator more than just partially on the GND issue, expect he would've puked over himself. But he never did that. Don't believe either guy won, but 45 probably had a bit of a loss. Doesn't seem to be the board concensus; oh well.

Would prefer they didn't give him any drugs so we all can see the real Joe Bjden. But hoping they know what they're doing and don't overdose him. Betting it's going to take a lot to get him to appear coherent.

Google Glasses to the rescue. What, you haven't seen him wearing glasses before?

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
Taro T replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The argument here has been (and which appears to be corroborated from the discovery releases in the past few weeks) that per the FBI agents' contemporaneous notes he DIDN'T lie to the FBI. He didn't have notes about the Kislyak call when he initially spoke to the FBI agents, but they said he seemed truthful. A few edits later, Mueller's crew told him he had details wrong when he spoke to the FBI & that they were looking into charging him & his son w/ (IIRC) FARA violations; but if he'd admit to what he believed (after being told by the SCO) to have been perjury then the other charges against him & his son would go away. So, while he wasn't waterboarded, he didn't perjure himself either. And everybody that participated in lying to General Flynn should spend a LONG time behind bars thinking about how bad it is to frame someone. Not too sure about the FARA stuff, but it SEEMS that was overblown as well. -
Great Win today, we beat the Rams and the Refs.
Taro T replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And the refs gave it back to the Bills on that 4th down pass interference. Sometimes, in the end, the calls balance out. -
On the one hand, it is very plausible that no indictments will be handed out before the election. Which would be extremely frustrating, because if Biden wins the whole thing gets buried for years if not eons. On the other hand, has any MSM reporter, other than Catherine Herridge, been right in ANY predictions on this subject?

The borderline HoF level of play is a distant memory in the rear view mirror. But he was still very good last season and there is no reason to believe he can't/won't be a 50 point player on the 2nd line. Still would like another younger 2C candidate like Cirelli or Danault brought in; but Staal actually IS a 2C. Something they haven't had since the donut shop drive through window guy left town.

What have the Democrats done in the past Four years
Taro T replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's just a couple of pages removed from saying that Kavanaugh shouldn't have been confirmed because he didn't display a "proper judicial temperament" after being falsely accused of rape by at least 3 different women. -
The Thread To Vent On Nancy Pelosi & Her Hubris
Taro T replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He could've just read the speech while it was still daylight. It's not like knowing who 45 chose changed the speech in any substantial manner. -
Still can't stand the guy, but it was a good trade for the Sabres.

"clap for that you stupid bastards"
Taro T replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Am more or less there with you. On the reasons to not vote for Biden, this one is almost at the bottom of the list. But it is something worthy of criticism back when he said it. He's not military and seems to look down on our troops. This coming to light does nothing but highlight his disdain/ not getting it. But, there are so many valid current reasons to criticize Biden, a bad attempt at humor from close to a decade ago doesn't move the needle IMHO. But can understand why somebody with ties to the military would take exception to it. -
She's not wrong.

The Deep State War Heats Up
Taro T replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Plus, Flynn never saw what the FBI agents originally said he'd said when he spoke to them the 1st time. So, he was told (falsely) that what he told the FBI initially wasn't true (though he actually was truthful per all accounts recorded immediately after his "interview") which basically made him believe he'd inadvertently perjured himself per the limited & false information he had available to him. He also was being told they were going to go after his kid if he didn't admit to the perjury charge. So, he was led to believe his recollection of events was incorrect (though, for not having notes in front of him, it was incredibly accurate) & therefore believed he had effectively lied/perjured himself. So, there's a bit of sophistry in claiming he "admitted he lied." And this is all VERY enlightening and shows that those who claim the deck is stacked against the little guy might be closer to the truth than any of us want to realize because General Flynn is nearly as far from a "little guy" as anyone in this country can be and the full weight of the system fell on his head. (Please make corrections if that isn't quite accurate.) -
Final Vote—All States, Progress in counting
Taro T replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In an ordinary election, would agree w/ you. But considering it appears pretty clear that the D's plan to manufacture a post-election win via "finding" mail-in ballots, they need that oversampling to get people to believe the polls were accurate and all those ballots miraculously appearing after the game's been played are legit & not a repeat of Al Franken's playback.
