Not sure where they'll find an old growth forest old enough to faithfully replace the timbers, but do appreciate the sentiment.

At least they protected the Dr. that was instrumental inidentifying bin Laden's compound.

Actually, we were both wrong. Show was at the Buff State Sports Complex in November '95.

That was the show I was referencing earlier. (Really thought it'd been at Niagara, but UB could've been the spot.) One of the Edge DJ's was watching the show from near where we were and he's the one that said the singer was pissy about the accoustics. Which is why he wouldn't face the crowd, which caused the crowd to turn on them. What else would one expect from a band signed to Madonna's Maverick label?
-
Yes. What did he say? Not a God blessed thing that wasn't a song lyric. Just kept himself turned from the crowd the entire show. Pretty sure they never played 'Far Behind' either, but it might have been 'You.' (Show was a LONG time ago.)
-
That is a very good song. As is 'You.' But the lead singer having a tantrum due to the accoustics at the arena they played up in Niagara Falls (probably the NU basketball arena, don't remember which venue they were at; show was 25 years ago, & that was the only show I saw there) and refusing to face the crowd the entire show knocks that & them down several pegs.

Totally get the point you're driving at regarding trading present (Nieuwendyk) for future (Iginla) & hope it works out that way, but Calgary fully expected to be getting a future star for trading a present one. Can't honestly say that Botterill likely expected that. Thompson wasn't even one of the Blues top 3 prospects. This trade looks far more like Hasek for Kozlov than Joe for Jerome.

That's disappointing to read that the Bushnell's Pontillos went downhill. They were waaaaaay better than the typical Pontillos. J&L's always was better IMHO, but the Bushnell's Pontillos was a good change of pace. Neither can touch the wife's homemade pizza. The sauce is too good.

So, obstruction really was the greater sin. This info should help bring TDS sufferers towards an abatement. But it won't. CNN will spin this as "proof" obstruction was the REAL crime "they" were investigating (regardless of what was being obstructed - SHUT UP there was obstruction.) Going to get uglier before it gets better.

If THIS is an election year, what year ISN'T an election year? -
Well, maybe AMC would let them use their Better Call Saul tag for his segments: Criminal Lawyer.

Just missed her. Joined up about the time Retatta was the rage. May she RIP. Good to see some folks from the past like CableLady coming back.

Not sure that I'd count Roberts in the 'overturn Roe v Wade' column. He seems to have flipped his opinion on Obamacare before putting out that decision & I wouldn't put not wanting to overthrow a ~45 year old precedent past him. Now, if McCain were the one that had dirt on him & not somebody else, then maybe he would vote his Catholic conscience.

Of course ordinary people end up with more coins after one of her proposals should any ever get implemented. Coins are for the little people; $'s are for their betters in government. -
I mean it is black and white no? what is there to argue? It may be technical, but on 04/09, he claims to not know if Muellars team has issues, and on 05/01, he claims he believes letter on 03/27 was snitty and penned by Muellars team.. I just truly don't understand where the argument is dude lied at some point..take your pick where Or, back on April 9, he was stating that since he believed his letter to Congress was accurate and adequate that he didn't know what members of Mueller's team considered to be inaccurate or inadequate about his release. He was asked if he knew what the Mueller staffers considered "not adequately or accurately" addressed in his summary of the report. He stated he did not. Again, he considered what he wrote to be adequate and accurate, or else he wouldn't have written it. He used weasel words ahead of stating that they wanted their summaries released and he had no intention of doing that, but he did in fact state they wanted the summaries released back on April 9. And this is what the D's are trying to bury him with. He said he didn't know what Mueller's staffers thought was specifically wrong with his summary but that they "probably" wanted their summary released as well. (Again, weasel word as probably includes certainly.) And that 2 page memo from Mueller doesn't state what he/his team believes to be inaccurate, just that their summaries were perfect in characterizing the full report and as such they should have been released immediately. Not seeing his initial answer as a lie, and not seeing his responses to Hirono or Blumenthal as lies either. Maybe his response to one of the others was?
