If you can't find kimmelweck rolls, you can make a reasonable substitute with a Kaiser roll, a very light glaze of egg white, caraway seeds, & sea salt. 20-30 seconds under the broiler & you sort of have a nice warm weck for the beef on weck. Especially if the horseradish is good, you won't really notice that the weck is faux.

You do realize that the Pegulas were already having planning studies conducted to determine how to replace Rich Stadium & upgrade/ renovate the MMArena that included significantly reducing the seating capacity of both venues to include very spacious premium seating down low between the BL's for hockey & between the 30's for football, right? The owners of all the major league teams have been looking at ways of ramping up the prices they can charge for high amenity seating before anyone ever thought about doing whatever they did to bats over there. Would not be surprised at all to see our teams' owners to tag onto this current call for distancing in public spaces & overstep the degree of "distancing" & exclusivity that gets built into the renovations/ replacements. Obviously, this crisis isn't going to end life (or lifestyles) as we know it (or them). But it seems unlikely that opportunists aren't going to push for modifications in the way things are done to put even more money in their pockets. Making it a far more exclusive, nicer, & pricier thing to attend a sporting event or concert in person while taking advantage of 4K HDTVs to make it essentially seem like you're at the show (minus the faint smell of ganja wafting through the air) while paying the equivalent of the price of a cheap seat seems a reasonable expectation from here. Ymmv.

There'll definitely be changes. Mass transit systems (that haven't already) upgraded disinfection of the carriers & sfaions/terminals will have to do so significantly. We will likely see a greater expansion of suburbs & even rural living as cities are where people will fear to live. It'll be interesting to see if sporting events & concerts end up with a huge shift in how tightly they squeeze people in vs try to get even larger PPV audiences. Whatever the Bills decide to do for their new home, we'll likely end up with one of the 1st stadiums (either a remodeled Rich/Ralph/NE or less likely a new one) built to the expectations of the new way of doing things for which many of the assumptions will turn out to have been wrong. (Kind of like how the designers of UB decided that a "riot proof" campus far from the city's population center was the way to build the new campus or how Pilot Field with the cool retro look to it has all the seats facing forward rather than leaning towards home plate.) So, the errors that get made on that project will be useful to show others what not to do on the following generation of new stadiums/ major remodels. There'll be a bunch of other changes too.

Unfortunately, don't have a FB account, so can't see any comments or poll results. But that's a great idea to run the poll that way to get a feel for how your customers are looking at this.

What I would be totally in favor of is the government helping small restaurateurs (say maybe 4 or fewer restaurants with no affiliation to major franchises) put in better HVAC systems to help them maintain "healthier" environments. These places can't, for the most part, afford those systems & if they can't put in something like that really doubt states will let them fully reopen. If they have to stay at 50% capacity, they'll all go under even more quickly than usual. Could see offering very low interest loans or Grant's for other small businesses as well for similar measures. But not in favor of pumping in much more unless it is very targeted. The 1st 2 CARES Bill's couldn't be targeted because the governments forced the economy to close literally overnight. They now can create much better legislation (though they likely won't). And the resiliency of the economy will be highly "elastic" (for lack of a better word, maybe resilient fits better?) as to how quickly things reopen. Stuff that's opening now, especially with the emergency loans that were given out, can hop right back to where it was. But push this out another month or 2 & places that go bankrupt aren't coming back.

NYS's # looks suspiciously low. Wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that the actual # is closer to 50% like the rest of the country. NY stopped counting deaths of nursing home residents as being nursing home deaths if the person died anywhere but in the nursing home. Can't recall when that change was made (want to say mid-late April, but it might have been early May) but if everybody else is counting apples & NYS is only counting Cortlands that might explain that discrepancy.

And for you, the weather probably is good 8 months/ year. Couldn't wait to get away from the Gulf as IMHO the weather was unbearably hot from May - October (6 months) and was uncomfortably cold (due to humidity) for January & a week or 2 on either side of it. So, while again IMHO weather in WNY is great / good (& liking the change of seasons makes December far more tolerable than not liking them) for about 10 months/ year; only really limed the weather 4 months/ year down there. And 7 years wasn't long enough to "thin the blood" enough to make the oppressive heat & humidity tolerable. Again, different strokes for different folks, but could never get used to the weather on the Gulf.

How the #### can it have taken nearly 3-1/2 years for such a review to occur? Totally get it not happening even at any point earlier than a year ago, but this prosecution (persecution more accurately?) has appeared publicly to be going sideways for months now. This is beyond ridiculous that it's taken this long for such a review. With everything in the DoJ's case going sideways, how was there not an official review of the investigation it was based upon?

So, doing things that every single president does makes him a dictator? Interesting. Pretty sure all presidents that have had IGs have changed out IGs during their tenure. The last 1 fired at least 1 and left at least 1 vacancy open for over 4 years. Didn't hear outcry over either. Absolutely, the reasons for removing IGs should be investigated, but simply removing them doesn't mean there was anything nefarious. Especially when a fair amount of holdovers from the previous regime want to "resist" at all costs, there can absolutely be reasons for them to be removed for cause. Also, there have been members of the executive branch testify before both Congress and the SCO. The president hasn't allowed every Congressional request be honored. That falls under separation of powers. It may be justified, it might not. Congress has a remedy when they believe their request is justified - they can ask the court to decide whether the executive must honor their subpoena. On several of these cases (particularly during the impeachment procedings) they didn't refer the matter to the 3rd branch. Why might that be? Really am having a hard time considering actions that the executive can legally take as being proof of his being a dictator.

Will be interesting to see what happens to unemployment numbers over the next month as states open back up. My wife's company (which was designated as essential but lost a ton of business during the shutdown) has begun ramping back up in states that are opening. They're going from ~25% staffed back up to full staffing in the next couple of weeks. That will help the numbers & they aren't the only ones. The concern is how many small businesses / restaurants won't be able to reopen & how many jobs won't come back because of that. Eventually others will take their place, but that will be a slow process & those that are out will likely never be remade whole again.

Have heard / read this a lot from anti-Trumpers. What has he actually DONE that indicates he wants to be a dictator. What executive orders (other than a couple dealing with defense appropriation act for this current crisis) has he signed expanding executive powers? Where are the executive orders limiting states rights? Aren't most of the criticisms of his handling the current crisis complaining that he hasn't usurped state authority & only issued guidelines to states rather than directed the individual governor's actions? Where are all the additional wars that dictators tend to get their subjects into happening? Where are the escalations of Iraq & Afghanistan (& Lybia & Syria & Qatar for that matter too)? Where was the firing of Mueller? Where is the jailing of dissidents? Don't dictators usually do these things? Why hasn't this one?

Know a couple of octogenarian retired nurses that have maintained their nursing licenses that have had the state reach out to them to come back to work. What could possibly go wrong in that scenario. (Realize they're likely reaching out to all nurses that currently aren't practicing, so this isn't actually an intentionally direct inducement to off additional 80+ yo citizens; but it is a very bad look & the beaurocrats need to start thinking before doing.)

Them, Georgians, Coloradians (?), Floridians should all be dropping like flies by now. Pretty sure Sweden & Denmark should be decimated as well. Maybe there's things we still don't know.

They should have no problem learning how to code, right?
